Went into the Wicks at Catford on…
Went into the Wicks at Catford on 5/12/25 to buy a tool box as a present. Milton was brilliant, showed where the tool boxes were and what one we was actually after.
As it was a present Milton made sure it was in perfect condition, wiped it, cleaned it etc.
It has been many years since I have been to the Catford branch, which is a bit out of the way for us now. Although more stock than my local branch.
Would definitley go there again.

I went to Wickes recently as my husband…
I went to Wickes recently as my husband who is builder for many years needed some bags of plaster and he was working and could not get there in time so i went to pick it up and I did not realise how heavy the bags would be and a kind man working there put them on the trolley for me and said get some one at the desk to ask someone to load them in your car for you.
A gentleman came to help me his name is Milton he was very helpful and took care of this he was most helpful kind and arranged the plaster in the car in a perfect way. He is a lovely man and I hope Wickes appreciates how good he is for there company. And I must say that all the staff in the Catford branch are very helpful.

We had excellent advice from their Design consultant George.
We were able to have a new bathroom that was within our budget. He showed us many options and we didn't feel like we were being pressured.
Would definitely recommend using Wickes

Do not use Wickes for your bathroom
Terrible experience from start to finish - from being misled on cost, deliveries all being wrong, and the job being left incomplete.
Wickes team advised that the 6k I paid for the bathroom items included fitting charges and I should expect c. 1.5k of extra charges for tiling and plastering. The fitters then said it would be £5k. After 2 days and smashing my entire bathroom out they doubled this to £10k. Wickes ignored all emails about the charging.
Despite having paid for my sink Wickes contacted me just before my delivery date to say it was out of stock. When my delivery came one working day before my fitter was due to come Wickes forgot to send the new sink and forgot to send the toilet.
Wickes installation charged me £250 to take my towel rack off the wall and put it back on again. Since they did so it doesn't work and doesn't heat up - they refuse to do anything about this unless I pay another 250 pounds.
Strongly recommend you avoid - terrible customer service.
