Wickes - Aintree Omdömen 

We used Wickes in Aintree to design and buy our new kitchen that was to go into a new extension. We saw Steve Ambler and he helped us design our small yet functional space. Steve gave us ideas on what could be a sensible layout, helping us to see the possibilities. He walked us through the process which was invaluable. After delivery he was also integral to helping us get any replacement fittings as needed and went the extra mile even when we were technically outside the normal replacement timeline. We now have a wonderful new modern kitchen which we are scared to get dirty!

This is getting ridiculous and very worrying now due to the cause of my complaint, namely the infestation of rodents.

Excellent customer service from Josh and Luke at checkout in the Aintree store. Went to purchase bathroom tiles. Both staff were very helpful and professional and went over and above to ensure l got the products l wanted, a credit to the Wickes team.

We went to Wickes to have our bathroom designed and fitted after having a brilliant experience with their kitchen design and fitting service.

What a vastly different and awful experience we are continuing to have. From the start of the process in September 2023 to now, it has been nothing short of horrendous. The bath leaks through the ceiling in the hallway below, through the electrics causing the ceiling to bulge with the water running through it and the lights to flicker. The fitted, water resistant bathroom cupboards are peeling, the sink is chipped. That is after the experience of having it fitted by someone who clearly was very inexperienced and made a dreadful job which needed to have another fitter to come in and rectify the initial mistakes that were made.

I contacted Wickes at the beginning of July as I have a 2 year workmanship guarantee. I have been passed from pillar to post, most emails are ignored. When I call customer service I am told they cannot speak to me as it is with the escalations team. The latest advisor in a long line who is dealing with my case told me two weeks ago that my case is being marked as urgent as the leak is causing damage to my property and was advised I’d have someone out the following week. Two weeks later, emails are again being ignored, no contact from Wickes at all. The guarantee is absolutely worthless. My only choice now is to contact trading standards. Avoid at all costs!

*Edit* I provided the information requested by Scott after this email and was advised that my case was with the warranty team and to allow 24 hours to be contacted…. I’m still waiting weeks later and not expecting contact at any point soon until my hallway ceiling has collapsed and I involve the insurance company!
I further received an email from Ash, a customer services advisor to tell me my case was with the technical team and that they would contact me directly within 24 hours! Again, still waiting! It appears that in Wickes world, 24 hours means never! Just a further exercise to fob the customer off and to not deal with their disastrous bathroom!

We had a fantastic service from start to finish with Wickes. From the moment we came in and met Mark Hewitt he gave us our perfect design, had great ideas we never thought of and was also happy to make changes as the design as often as we needed. He went above and beyond in terms of checking in and ensuring everything went as expected to give us our dream bathrooms. Marks enthusiasm for his work and comittment to the project was a huge reassureance and gave us grear piece of mind be able to go through details with him even as the project progressed. We had three rooms done in one go so it was great to have Mark available for any questions and our installer Radek worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was as we wished with excellent attention to detail!

The staff are exceptional when dealing with disabled customers.
Selco, Parr’s, BQ, screw fix are all in a 1 mile radius, they come are poor second to Wicks.
