Pre-move day comms were excellent. On the day Dan and Billy did an absolutely fantastic job shifting our stuff up 3 floors…we couldn’t have been happier with the service we received!

From start to finish it was an excellent experience. Amy who handled all the scheduling and booking was really helpful and the team on the day Joseph, Matt and John were superb. A credit to their company. I would highly recommend their services.

The whole experience was very easy and straightforward and value for money. The 2 young men were friendly, efficient, and when there was a problem with a wardrobe went above and beyond their remit. Would use them again.

From receiving the initial quotation, which was very reasonable, to the fast, polite and comprehensive responsiveness of the office staff (Carol, Jan), and finally to the excellent service provided by the moving team (Brian, Pete, Julian, Jim, Jamie), I cannot praise this family-run, salt of the earth company enough! Highly recommend!

Made a potentially stressful day completely pain free. Turned up bang on time, took great care of my belongings, dismantled and reassembled furniture with zero fuss. Will definitely be using them again.

I was very impressed with the Amersham Team who helped us move last week.They were such a lovely helpful bunch and made a stressful situation quite pleasant!
People are always quick to complain but don’t often get around to complimenting a service well done. I honestly could not fault how brilliant the team were.
Nothing was too much trouble and they worked hard and quick. I still can't quite believe what they achieved in such a short space of time. A special thanks to Carol, Brian, James & Jordan for making our move so easy. I strongly recommend this company.

I would not use again.

Before signing the contract I queried the VERY EXPENSIVE insurance. I confirmed that of I had my own insurance this was not required and they indeed confirmed that anything I had packed would be down to me, anything they packed would be down to them.

That was not the case.

When our belongings were returned there was a broken glass table (poorly wrapped), and when the guys were actually at the house packing they came to be to advise they had broken a lamp.

Apparently this was down to me to cover the cost of.

I was offered £80 to cover both items, which I didn’t both taking abs then threatened with legal action over an outstanding £35?!!

Very aggressive. Very rude. Very unprofessional. Works scholarly NOT recommend using I’m afraid.

As a prominent jewellery retailer in Beaconsfield for 34 years, I do understand the principles of caring for a client’s precious possessions.

Unfortunately, Cox’s Removals did not show the same respect or caring for our property.
We moved from our five bedroom home of thirty years in Beaconsfield on the 16th August 2021. In hindsight I should have called a halt to proceedings on the day when two of the four man crew transpired to be sons of the Director on school holidays.

When at 4.00pm we had not completed the loading, the new owner, on her third visit to take possession of the property, began accusing me of trespass. The stress and physical excursion from working flat out helping to load, so as to get away from the intimidation; made me feel very unwell.

Well, finally we were off but OH DEAR the damage…to our dining room table, my grandfather’s swing top table and media cabinet plus the upset of seeing how in some cases, things had just being thrown in the boxes.
We bought the insurance against damage offered by Cox’s…DO NOT BOTHER. We didn’t read the small print - not new for old and will only repair or offer a second hand value. Also, to date the matter has still not been settled nor is likely to be.

Superb service from start to finish. Initial quote fair and good working process suggested (we were relocating from Buckinghamshire to Shropshire). The team who came to pack (Paul, Jules and Max) were super efficient, professional and took great care with all our stuff...and they were a pleasure to have around which made such a difference to what could have been a stressful day. Moving day again, timely, professional and such hard working guys. Max and Jules once again helped keep the stress levels down by being so helpful and determined to get us unloadedand in , in a timely manner. And thanks also to the ladies in the office who were so patient and supportive as we waited ..and waited ..for the solicitors at the end of our purchase to get us to the point of being able to firm things up. From our personal experience we would without doubt highly recommend this crew! Thank you all.

We used WH Cox to move our personal belongings from the house we had sold and into a storage facility. The team turned up on the day on time, which was a good start, but it was quickly evident that a lack of man-power had been assigned to the job, despite a member of staff visiting prior to removal day to estimate the cost and people required.
The removers moved us out of our house with us present, but when unloading into the storage facility, they said it was not necessary for us to be there.

We used a local company to take our belongings from storage to our new house two months later. At this stage it quickly became evident that WH Cox had not handled our effects with any amount of care.

Damage included, but not limited to: wooden furniture had suffered broken legs (literally ripped off the solid oak base!), a hall table top was badly chipped, our washing machine had its top pulled off, our TV no longer worked, a torn dining room chair back, many packing boxes were crushed, a most disappointing, a clay sculpture worth £900+ was smashed beyond repair.

It was clearly evident that WH Cox has known about the breakages from the position the broken items were left in the storage facility – broken furniture parts were left on top of the matching furniture piece etc.

The company who emptied the storage rooms commented on how haphazardly our belongings were stacked and that light packing boxes were crushed beneath heavy ones.

We contacted WH Cox to discuss the breakages with them. Not only did they take no responsibility for the breakages or offer any apology, they blamed the breakages on the second removal company. We know that the breakages were not made by the second company as we were able to accompany them the whole day WH Cox also said that the most of the boxes were open and of different sizes making stacking difficult. In fact, ONE box was an open topped crate and we use just three different sized packing boxes – small, medium and large – standard practice when packing one’s belongings.

In addition, and quite outrageously so, WH Cox asked the removal team about breakages, who in return denied all knowledge!!

After our complaint and several emails, WH Cox grudgingly agreed to return our insurance premium, then after more pushing on our part, refunded a paltry £150, still with no apology.

At no point once the problems arose did we feel that we were treated like valued customers. WH Cox based all their arguments on their inability to claim on their insurance 7 days post move.

Friends of mine have recently used this company and things have gone badly wrong, I'll update when I hear how they have dealt with the issue

Good assessor and price offered was fair.
Office were pretty badly organised and indifferent but I managed to get all the boxes I needed before the move but they weren't the most helpful.
The move was during lockdown. on the day the lads turned up with one small van and thought half my contents were going into storage due to office messing up. After sorting this Peter and his team were polite, very helpful, incredibly professional and hardworking and couldn't do enough for me. They made sure everything was properly wrapped and delicate items cared for. They were quick and efficient and happy to move anything around for me. we managed to get finished by 4.30 on move day as they did a very good job the previous afternoon packing up and moving boxes downstairs.
Couldn't have been happier with the service. And they found my son's long lost Apple iPencil in the process!

I used W H Cox & Son removals in 1991. The move went without any problems and the service was excellent. So I used them again in October for storage and for moving. The service was again excellent. Friendly professional and efficient.

W H Cox was very efficient with the quotation, paperwork and arrangements. I needed some gym equipment moved from the ground to second floor of my house. The guys arrived on time and successfully moved the equipment to the top floor quickly and without incident.
