I wrote a review on the 19th April 2022 regarding a watch I was going to purchase and how the price was increased . In actual fact watch philosophy was not actually to blame for the mix up it was a third party’s mistake so I have spoken to rik and resolved the situation and he has been very professional and helpful and sourced the watch I wanted at a very reasonable price so if you want a decent watch for a good price speak to these guys and they will look after you nice one rik 👍

After a long wait I picked up my watch this week, well worth the wait as its a beautiful piece that was hard to find. The deal was done pretty easy over email and text, I delt with a guy called Rick who is a great bloke, communication was great due to the time delay. When making such a significant purchase, especially online it’s important to ensure you do so feeling the company is trustworthy. I took that leap based on some existing review and can say Maxim made the whole experience a pleasure. I’m really pleased with the watch, and I’ll certainly be back to Watch Philosophy when I’m fortunate enough to buy another!

I recently bought a watch from one of the child company of Watch Philosophy, Watch Approach through the Chrono24 website.

The experience went very well, as guided by professionnals that helped me a lot to get the watch, despite it is done online.

Good packaging and delivery, even sooner than anticipated, brand new watch with all papers as promised.

Sadly due to a total lack of communication from this company apart from one WhatsApp message from Rick stating Maxim would email me (he hasn’t yet).

Placed an order for an ‘in stock’ item on 16/02/22 and full payment was taken the following day, so far so good. Order details and confirmation number was promptly received on email.

At this point after I’d received an order confirmation and to the best of my knowledge it would be delivered on 21/02/22 as advertised.

Zero responses to the 3 x emails I sent (2 before the expected delivery date to check progress and ensure that I was around to sign for the grey dial Omega Seamaster Pro, and one after to check where it was).

One response to my WhatsApp message stating an action that never materialised.

The landline went through to voicemail during the advertised operating hours.

Having my confidence reduced and reasonably no longer expecting any further communication I had no option but to raise a merchant dispute with Amex.

I’d probably would have been happy to wait for this birthday present if it was in stock but then for whatever reason has been sold, but the sheer lack of communication worried me. I’ve never had to raise a dispute with a merchant before now, Amex are dealing with this now on my behalf and I’ve formally cancelled the order.

You are really rolling a dice with these guys, and consequently I’ll go to an AD who has the item I want in stock.

Edit: American Express fully supported my dispute and have today refunded the amount of £3860.00 in full.
