Since 2018 I've partnered with Visualsoft for their solid retail platform with an amazing and expansive team of experts to plug into my needs. Driven and coordinated excellently by my long-standing Business Growth manager, Jonny Macklay.

We have been with VS now for about 12 years since their first office up in stokton on tees, there system really does make life easy for a not to tech savy company, we currently use their in house PPC, SEO, Social, CRO, Affiliates and a few other departments all held together by our great Account Manager Jonny Mackley. A company is never great with out great people and VS has some of the best in the industry.

Collaborating with Leigh, our project manager for the new e-commerce website, was truly remarkable. Leigh only demonstrated a keen focus on our project goals but also went above and beyond to address our challenges. His professional and friendly guidance helped navigate complexities, ensuring smooth journey from start to finish. We have been working with Visualsoft just shy of 2x years now and they have delivered on everything that has been discussed and actioned on.. We've had a few years with VS, and as with all things in life there have been good and bad days. However, since Amy Stiff became our account manager we've had nothing but exceptional service. Her dedication to keeping us updated, informed and looked after has been faultless. Unfortunately, as she's a very talented person she'll be promoted quickly. I know in the interim she'll continue to be a superstar!!

NO GOOD FOR SMALL BUSINESSES, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STICK WITH SHOPIFY ETC.

In my opinion, Visualsoft and the Visualsoft platform is no good for small businesses. Especially independents with very limited staff, and ecom technical experience.
I believe the platform was miss-sold, and we were never truly a suitable fit from the start.

There has been a massive turnover of staff at Visualsoft, so gaining consistency has been very difficult. We are now on our 4th account manager, 2nd or third account strategist in the space of 3 years.

The individuals themselves have been lovely, friendly and helpful, but the overall system in place doesn’t provide us with the extension of our team they promised, or led us to believe we would receive. Unless you sign up to their marketing management packages at additional cost.
I have used the social media package, and I have used the PPC package twice. Once on our old site, once on new site. Unfortunately none of these were successful. Each time their solution was to pay them more for more time on the account.

After just over a year on the shared success plan (Optimum) and spending a lot of money on PPC and social advertising management, not to mention a lot on the website costs, we finally had to accept that we were too small a fish, in a big pond. We don’t have the budget to compete with the big brands.
At this point Visualsoft allowed us to half our website costs, but by extending the contract for another two years.

Unfortunately now another year on, selling online is proving even harder with inflation and interest rates affecting disposable income.

I have since witnessed similar size businesses in the fashion industry, move back to lower cost web providers. It is now our intention to follow suit. I have asked if there is some way we can buy out the website from them / come off the optimum plan, to reduce costs further. I was told this was not possible as they want to work with us to improve things.
I was disappointed with this decision as I feel I have given everything I can to make it work, yet still they are only thinking about themselves yet again, trying to extort further money from an independent, family-run business.
The website build is impressive, quick, with lots of features, but regrettably it’s not worth the high monthly costs, as we did not see a large enough increase in sales.

I was also disappointed to receive an email recently, informing us of a second platform price increase in 6 months. Contractually we agreed to one increase per year. The reason being, they had to pass on the additional costs their established, successful business was receiving. Again this highlights they only think about themselves. They know full well our online venture has not proved successful, yet they are happy to bleed us dry.

I truly hope they realise they cannot treat small independents like this, and understand their platform is not a one size fits all. And anyone thinking about signing up, make sure your business can afford the additional costs, as additional sales aren’t guaranteed.

Provided an excellent E Commerce platform for our business to build upon, software is incredibly easy to use, tickets and issues are resolved quickly and accurately and our account manager (George Richards) has always been very attentive and supportive throughout the service

We have been using Visualsoft for some time now and have always been happy with the service provided. However we have recently been allocated a new growth / accounts manager James. Since this point we have had a dramatic increase in one-one contact and a higher level of care and assistance in a number of ways. For example, he recently provided a health check assessing the over all performance of our website, highlighting strengths, identifying areas of improvement and making critical and informative suggestions to help us achieve our goals. James is also a pleasure to deal with, he is extremely personable, but above all professional. We are excited to continue working alongside the team at Visualsoft, especially James moving forward. We would highly recommend this service to anyone considering an e-commerce business.

We have been working with Visualsoft for close to 9 months now. Started off with Paid Search and now they have just helped us launch a new website for one of our sub-brands. What was really amazing to see was the professionalism and the speed of execution from the team. Our Account Manager, Jen, has been lovely and very generous with accommodating all our requests & feedback. During her time-off, Lauren stepped in seamlessly and managed everything so well.
And lastly, a big shout-out to Cam & Kelly for leaving us in such good hands!

We have been working with VisualSoft for a few years now. We have been looked after by Amy Stiff, who is our Account Executive. She has been absolutely faultless at providing us with information, advice and support when needed. Amy's attention to detail has been fantastic and has been constantly on the ball with us. Whilst we didn't find PPC as effective as we had hoped we are very happy with the service we have had :)

We were persuaded by VisualSoft sales team to move from Shopify to VS in Feb 2021. We finished our two year contract a couple of months ago and overall i would have to say the entire process was a complete waste of time and money.

We are now back with Shopify and enjoying a higher turnover and conversion rate year on year than with VS at approximately 30% of the cost.

If your website is currently turning over 500K + then VS might be a decent option. But for any website at 200K or lower i can't see how VS represents good value:

1. Anything design related you want changing is completed painfully slowly. The build process is sooo slow. It looks nearly 5 months - we moved back to shopify in 2 months and the site is now much better looking with greater functionality in my opinion.
2. The back end is antiquated compared to their competitors.
3. The content creation from the paid social media campaigns is truly embarrassing (again if you are a bigger customer perhaps you'll get a better service). We did 3 months to try on Pinterest and dropped it as soon as we could.
4. Google Ads. Since we left VS at end of March our conversion rate has increased and the costs to run our campaign have reduced.
5. Account management. Whilst good and enthusiastic initially when i made the point that we were nowhere near hitting targets set by the sales team after 1 year of the contract our account manager was changed without comment. Never heard from the new account manager until i gave VS notice. Not quite what was promised!

Overall, i get the feeling that if you're a decent size then they'll pull out the stops to look after you but if you join up with VS hoping for growth i'd say avoid, avoid avoid! In my experience, you can do better with the other options out there for a fraction of the price.

We feel we were mis-sold the service in the first place and wouldn't want this to happen to others.

I cant thank Jen enough for the help and support that she has given me throughout our go live process. She has gone above and beyond throughout to ensure our website was the best it could be.

If there were ever any issues they were sorted in the matter of minutes as Jen was always accessible and available for any questions, no matter whether it was outside work hours.

Jen always contributed additional ideas and support that was above what we were expecting as she knew from experience what worked the best which guided our design process.

I would be negligent not to mention the remarkable improvements Visualsoft has made to their back-end system in recent months. These updates have enhanced the overall user experience and made managing our online presence more efficient. It is evident that Visualsoft is committed to constantly refining and enhancing their platform to meet the evolving needs of their clients.

While Visualsoft's system is undoubtedly powerful, there is room for improvement in certain areas. Simplifying some of the back-end processes, particularly regarding sales campaigns, would greatly benefit their clients. For instance, integrating the functionality of "Launch Timers" within the product listing or discount section would eliminate the need for a separate page. This modification would make it easier to manage and schedule product launches or discounts, providing a more seamless user experience.

Visualsoft has proved to be an outstanding partner for our business. With an exemplary account manager, a dedicated marketing and SEO team, and an efficient support ticketing system, they have consistently demonstrated their commitment to our success. While there are areas that can be further improved, Visualsoft's continuous efforts to refine their platform and address client needs make them a top choice for businesses looking for a comprehensive e-commerce solution.

This platform truly offers a premium service, and it delivers exactly what you pay for. You are provided with the best possible tools to grow your business, and all the features are built in! - No need to pay for additional features like on other platforms!

This wasn't my first time using VisualSoft as I had previously utilised their services for another website. Once again, they exceeded my expectations. Although the initial process may seem slow, I must emphasise that on both instances the time delay was on me and my team. We needed to gather and prepare the necessary data for the website. This is not just a case of downloading old website and transferring over, you will want to spend time to focus on making sure the information is correct as you are investing a lot of money into a platform that works, and the only point of failure is the data you upload, when you have a small range this is fine but in both my cases there have been over 5000 products.

I want to extend a massive thank you to Stanley from the SEO migration team. His work was nothing short of amazing. The SEO migration process was seamless, and Stanley's expertise and dedication played a crucial role in masking sure we have the best foundations in place to grow our website!

Regrettably even though we are still with Visualsoft and reading the awful reviews that have been published on here, I can sympathise with most businesses that have had a negative experience and would also advise every new business to think twice before signing on a contract with VS.

Work is incredibly slow, plenty of false promises prior to signing contract, refusing to take responsibility, poor complaint resolution procedure, low employee retention rate indicating a poor/toxic working environment and very very expensive for the overall product/service is received in return.

I have made several complaints and our voice has not been heard and this is us paying over £3000 a month.

Save yourselves the hassle and painstaking conversations of never ending problems and poor value for money.
