Great service with amazing customer service and attentiveness. Really can't say enough good things about them.

I absolutely love Vinylmnky! Every vinyl I’ve received has been handpicked by brilliant tastemakers, cared for, and come in efficiently. Not only do I get vinyls that I enjoy, the add-on for each month is really cool and usually exclusive to Vinylmnky.

I became a member of the Vinylmnky tribe a few months ago and I cannot recommend them enough. Customer support is quick and friendly and I have yet to have any sort of issues. Records are packaged well in shipping and have always been shipped out as soon as possible after I order. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great monthly record subscription for an incredibly reasonable price!

Had a hard time finding a unique album that I couldn't seem to find anywhere on the internet. Luckily, I was able to find it on Vinylmnky. I had a few questions about the specifics since I was looking for a certain pressing of the album, so I contacted their customer service and they were honestly so communicative and helpful. I now have a really special album, and they now have a lifelong customer!

I’ve never experienced such awful customer service before from a small company. I would not recommend purchasing from this company and take your business elsewhere. They way the react to customers is truly so unprofessional. I’ve never once written a bad review about a company before but I guess there’s a first time for everything.

I bought this as a gift for my brother, a true music lover. He loved the records that were sent to him each month and said they helped him begin to build his vinyl collection.
I forgot to cancel my brothers subscription in time, and was charged for another 6 months. When I reached out to Vinylmnky, they issued me a refund within 24 hours along with a very kind personal message. I highly recommend this company for music lovers like my brother!

Great experience, good prices and quick shipping

Last Update: So I received my package which included Breakthrough records of the month for Feb 2019 (Jacob Banks: Village) and Mar 2019 (The Japanese House: Good at Falling). I also received my bonus LP (Syd: Fin). The packaging was somewhat sufficient. It was the typical vinyl shipping box. However, all three records had some creases in the corners and one record in particular (The Japanese House) was really bent in the top left hand corner. These issues are purely cosmetic because the vinyl records themselves weren't damaged and that is what I care most about honestly. Slight dings sometimes happen in shipping so a little bit of that is manageable for me but the bent one does bother me a bit. The other two not so much because they were slight creases. So with all that being said here is my final score with all things considered.

I am settling my final score on 3 stars. Reasons for the three stars are as follows:

Website (2 stars): The website could use a little update to make it easier to navigate. The store online isn't very intuitive and it gets a bit confusing. I think some changes definitely need to be made in this area.

Customer Service (5 stars): There was an initial problem with Paypal that wasn't Vinylmnky's fault. They were able to catch the problem and took the proper steps to make it right to the customer. That was very much appreciated. It was very confusing but everything was explained to me and we came to a mutual resolution that benefited everyone. That was great.

Shipping (3 stars): When my order was shipped it arrived fairly quickly. The packaging was nice and appeared to be secure. However, all three of my records had some sort of cosmetic issue when it came to the outer sleeves and one in particular had a very noticeable dent in the left hand corner. I don't know if this happened during shipping or if it happened during packaging. I'm not too stressed when it comes to that sort of thing so it wasn't a deal breaker for myself. But if that is something you care about you should probably keep that in mind. Hopefully that isn't a regular occurrence because even though it isn't the biggest issue for me I don't want my entire membership to include cosmetic issues.

UPDATE: My previous 2 star review is listed below for reference but I came back to change my rating to a 4 star to commend the customer service I just received to resolve the previously mentioned issue. Nick is the person who reached out and informed me that the discrepancy that occurred was due to a Paypal system error. It turns out I wasn't the only one affected and some orders (that included mine) slipped through the cracks. He walked me through what I needed to do to correct the issue which was to change my billing from Paypal to an actual debit or credit card. He is currently shipping out my records for Feb 2019 and Mar 2019 since the billing issue is now resolved. He even threw in an extra LP due to it taking time to figure out what was causing all the trouble which was gracious on his part because I understand he didn't have to include that. He did what he could to make it right and I am happy with the resolution. I am glad I didn't have to result to completely canceling my service because I was very excited to be apart of the Vinylmnky family due to their "Breakthough Record of the Month" subscription. They have been pretty spot on with their selections of who will be breaking through in the music industry. One look at who they have chosen for previous months proves that. Artists they have chosen were Snail Mail, Kali Uchis, Sampha, Khalid, Syd and Aurora just to name a few really shows that they must be music psychics that have their fingers on the pulse of who is going to be potentially hot in the music scene. I don't know how they do it but I was extremely impressed with their selections so I really didn't want to cancel service due to service issues. But now that the customer service issue has been resolved in a manner that was not only helpful but courteous & gracious I don't have to. I will change to a five star once I receive the records because I am not sure how packaging looks just yet. But I am completely satisfied with the resolution of this matter thus far.

So recommended vinyl subscription services will now include Vinylmnky, Vinyl Me Please, Black Box Records and Rough Trade Records.
Please DO NOT use VNYL. Trust me and thank me later on that one.

PREVIOUS REVIEW (For reference). So my experience with Vinylmnky has been beyond underwhelming. I signed up for their subscription service Feb 1, 2019. Today is March 14, 2019 and I haven't received a single record. I find this very strange. I have emailed them three times now about the service and I am constantly being told that there was an issue with the label in regards to three of the last "Breakthrough Records of the Month" (BROTM). I don't understand how you conduct business like this but the turnaround to receiving items seems ungodly slow. Good thing I signed up for the service via paypal because I plan on contesting the charge and canceling my service with them. I am sure the service worked out well for people in the past but my experience has been terrible. If you are looking for a good vinyl subscription service don't try Vinylmnky and don't use VNYL (no customer service at all).
I would recommend Vinyl Me Please, Black Box Records or Rough Trade Records. Those three are great services that I have really enjoyed using thus far.

I can't recommend Vinylmnky enough. They have absolutely amazing taste in music and the tribe experience is unmatched. I am a Vinylmnky for life and can't wait to see what's in store for 2019. Keep up the great work team!

I was very disappointed with them. I was specifically looking for a vendor that would deliver my package before Christmas. I contacted them and asked if this would be possible (it was December 17th). Travis Jourdan wrote me back right away and said it would be if I ordered it right away, that it would be delivered in 3-4 days. So I purchased it. Instead of sending by UPS, which all the other vendors were doing, they sent it by USPS and it did not arrive until December 26th. My grandson had already flown home by that time. I will never purchase from them again.

Travis Jourdan just posted a reply, saying you can't depend on USPS during the holidays. He has totally missed my points about why I will never use them again - 1) He should not have promised he could deliver 2) He should have disclosed he was using USPS and not something like UPS - if he had, I would have chosen another vendor. Of course USPS is unreliable during the holidays, everyone knows that. 3) If he had been honest, I would have paid more for either 2 day delivery or UPS or Fed Ex. But I was not given that choice. I was told that wasn't necessary.

Excellent customer service! Vinyl album choices, whether it be the BROTM, or one's own choice of different genre selections are spot on.

So I was skeptical and my situation was a bit unique. I was looking for a record and could not find it anywhere. Found this site. And they had it. I ordered it, paid for it. And then about 30 min later got an email saying I was refunded. So I contacted them trough Facebook. The customer service was awesome, got a quick reply as to why it happened, turns out there inventory wasn’t correct due to the recent death of the artist sales were having it fly off the shelf. The co founder made a call and said they have one in stock but it was opened for photos but not played. He said I could buy that one. I did and it was shipped the next day.
Haven’t had customer service like that in a long time.

Weird site.

I kind of like the whole "monthly subscription" idea (although the catalog is so limited it wouldn't work for me), but the truly bizarre thing is that the site primarily sells vinyl fetishism rather than music.

Catalog is the smallest of any record store I've ever seen, including brick & mortar, which might be okay if there seemed to be some kind of guiding principles or aesthetic driving the offerings, but it comes across pretty random, with some quality releases sprinkled in *if* they have hipster appeal (they probably didn't have any Bowie until after he died). Worse, there is no information about any of the releases...not even lists of song titles.

But the dead giveaway is the emphasis on framed options. The Vinylmnky tagline might as well be "we sell music for you to look at."

Really great service. I love that its a different genre of music each time and you get the benefit of being "first" for new artists that are emerging. A lot of the albums come signed which adds a lot of value. It's really a fantastic way for collectors to build their library and discover new music that maybe you wouldn't normally listen to.

Smooth transaction, helpful/efficient customer service, fast shipping and excellent products! Will gladly buy from your store again

I've been happy with the quality of the LPs, and the monthly music, and I browse the store as often as I can afford to. The owner/founder is quick to respond, and provides excellent and friendly customer service! I only have good things to say about Vinylmnky!
