Alan came to detect a leak in the central heating pipes - a problem that I've been trying to solve for 3 months. Using a thermal camera he found where the pipes ran through the concrete under the floor, and then was able to quickly find the leak in the pipe using sensitive gas detection tech. The company will now handle the process of drying and making good after the repair, liaising with the insurance company, all of which takes the pressure off me. Very glad to have found this company after a fruitless investigation by another company in March.

Dan visited our home this week and from the moment I opened the front door the whole experience was flawless. He was completely professional, explaining everything and with no jargon. He was thorough in his job and leaving no stone unturned. He double checked everything, giving us reassurance. The leak has been a stressful process, which Dan acknowledged, and he was very supportive. He also gave time the following day to speak to us over the phone and answer follow up questions. Well done Dan, good job and hopefully this nightmare will soon be over.

Leak found! There were in fact three leaks, two from the roof and one from the pipes and the engineer tracked them all down. Was quick, efficient and found the origins of the leaks in just a few hours. Rates were reasonable and it's a day rate not an hourly rate, which is much better.

A HUGE thank you to Andrew and the team at UK Leak Detection for helping to find a leak that's been plaguing us for months. After hours of patiently searching with a variety of equipment, they found the leaking pipe encased in concrete! They provided lots of help with next steps, and were very professional and polite (and funny!) throughout the entire process. Really excellent service by Dan. He did a full inspection using thermal imaging and gas testing. Our useless valiant boiler engineer had said the boiler was fine. Dan managed to identify exactly where the issues were and provided us a great report which we could use to challenge Valiant. Great to see someone who takes so much pride in their work. A rare find these days! Spend the money on getting the job done properly as opposed to endless plumber visits and don’t think leak sealant is a cheap and easy fix.

The service we had from UK leak detection was fantastic. My enquiry was answered immediately and an appointment was made shortly afterwards. All our questions were listened to. The engineer Dan was very thorough and turned up on time. A long explanatory report was emailed that day with many photographs with problem areas highlighted. Good job done!

When the UK Leak Detection engineer failed to detect gas coming from my leak on a water mains pipe, he increased the pressure of the gas used and wanted to increase it further. When I expressed concerns about a gas pressure of 7 or more bars forcing the leak to become larger, he retorted with "at least it will make it easier to find". I said I didn't want the leak made bigger. He said that he would phone his supervisor for advice on using this gas pressure because he had not previously used such high gas pressure in the six years that he had been doing this work. He made this phone call in the road, out of ear shot, returned and increased the pressure without reference to me. Shortly after he left, I found my service value leaking. My stop tap was also leaking. This stop tap was leaking before he arrived and he said that this was because the nuts were not done up tightly enough and he cranked them up tightly. The following day, I had a plumber out to fix these leaks. The plumber said that the leak detection employee had overtightened the nuts on the stop tap, damaging both compression olives on the pipework either side of it. My plumber also said the high pressure used during the leak detection was very likely to have caused the service value to leak. I emailed UK Leak Detection about these issues and asked them to cover the cost of the service value replacement and possibly also replacement of the compression olives depending on whether the plumber's repair held. A week later, the same employee who had done the leak test rang me with reasons why he felt no responsibility for any damage and stated that UK Leak Detection would not cover the cost of repair. I do not know whether or not the leak in the water mains pipe has increased.

Several weeks later, I had drainage contractors dig a hole 1m3 dug according to the area Leak Detection said my leak was in. Not only was no leak found, no pipe was found. The company made excuses, e.g. you needed to dig wider and we needed access to neighbouring properties because the water mains pipe may be shared. When I asked them to redo the survey, they agreed but made this difficult by requiring neighbours consent to their properties being accessed and sending me unpleasant emails accusing me of being hostile. As a woman living on my own, I did not relish the idea of an employee of this company being in my house again.

To top it all, the company have now publicly accused me of making an issue to get money from them in their reply to my review. I paid UK Leak Detection £474, then another significant sum of money to a drainage contractor and not a penny of this money have I had refunded. In hindsight, I should never have have used this company and am now considering legal action against them.

UK Leak Detection are great!!! especially Alan, when he arrived he could see I had major anxiety, he assured me he would find my leak. Within 15 mins he had found it, the leak was under my house. Before,he exposed the leak he told me to ring my insurance company to ensure i would be covered. He needed to dig up my tiles and the flooring underneath to expose the leak. He was so kind to wait for me to speak to them, as one knows you can be on the line for ages, waiting for someone to answer your call. The insurer confirmed i was covered for tracing and exposing the leak, which was great news for me. Alan exposed the leak and mitigate the problem until my plumber arrived. Really great service.

We booked a central heating system leak detection. The coordinator Andrew helped us a lot to rearrange the appointment during out-of-office hour. We are really satisfied with the service. Andrew is very professional and warm hearted. Highly recommend!

I used the company for tracing and accessing the leak. Both Cameron and Jim who carried out the leak detection and access work were very polite, patient in explaining what and how they were going to do things, took time to answer questions too. Cameron located the leak using the hydrogen gas and Jim dug up and did a temporary fix. Thank you to the team.
