Can't trust this website. Very little truth to be found. People that aren't verified guests can leave reviews for Hotels and Motels.

Do not trust this travelers webpage, always do your own research and only do the booking and pay DIRECTLY with a business.
Their forums also is filled by rude trolls who like to harass other users and they do it because there is no moderation so they take advantage of it.

The absolute worst customer service in the travel industry!!! My flight was cancelled, I received a notice/emails from booking/goto gate confirming the cancellation, begin getting calls from goto gate with ridiculous high fare offers to replace the cancelled flight and when I begin pursue a refund for cancelled flight, these scam artists claim the flight was never cancelled!!! Their customer service teams are well versed and coordinated too with this scheme to attempt not to refund any funds! I called numerous times, emailed back to them their own email with proof of the cancelled flight, provided online documentation of a cancelled flight, yet these scam artists ignored every attempt!! Be aware!! Stay away!!

I had a terrible experience with a hotel in Thailand so I wrote a detailed review on TripAdvisor about it. It seems that it is easy for a dodgy hotel to get your bad reviews removed on false grounds. They either have terrible AI filtering reviews or they let the hotels manipulate reviews. Not using TripAdvisor again. Reviews can't be trusted.

The wine was okay and well priced but the steak I ordered was terrible. Admittedly I requested a fairly well done steak, but being a Scotch fillet it should have been still been tender - just cooked through. Not hard and scorched on the outside and full of gristle. To make matters worse we were a fairly large group and most of the party had finished their meal by the time I got mine

Never going to book anything through TripAdvisor again!!!

Booked tickets and there is no transparency regarding the price of the tickets quoted. Throughout the entire process, there is no mention that the price is in USD until I received the booking confirmation.

As an Australian customer making the booking from within Australia, I was mislead and had thought the price was in AUD.

Refund requested but rejected due to cancellation policy.

Avoid TripAdvisor unless you like being mislead as it'll cost you more through TripAdvisor paying more than simply going to the operator directly.

Very clean, comfortable and centrally located place to stay at 104 North Terrace The apartments were exceptionally clean and the beds comfortable. The staff offer outstanding service.
Shyane De Cabraal consistently went ‘over and above’ to ensure that my stay was comfortable and provided me with information including where I could eat ( next door cafe was excellent for breakfast) and provided me with easy to follow directions to a local restaurant. I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of my room and would certainly recommend Oaks Horizons. I was there for a conference.

Trip advisor is great, if you like being charged twice and not being transparent.

TripAdvisor Customer service is non-existent. I was having problems logging into my account and couldn't locate my bookings with TripAdvisor. A person by the name of Amina - remember that name and avoid her like the plague - directed me to the Viator USA number for me to call them at my expense to sort out this problem myself. When I said I wasn’t going to do that and to please provide me with more service that I don’t have to pay for as a customer - this Amina person just ghosted me and I never heard from her again - disgusting.

They don't care about the costumers anymore, everything is outdated..

Trip advisor allowed a slanderous review about someone who was doing their job, and a great one at that, but would not remove it even though there is proof that the incident did not happen. Because this slanderous review was allowed to be posted I had to leave my career that I invested my time and duty to. This review cost me my safety and livelihood. Thank you very much TRIP ADVISOR!!!

TRIPADVISOR !! They will shut you down, the moment you criticize an airline. TripAdvisor have "shares" and contracts with many airlines. That includes deals with those airlines : "to shut all complaints down". That deal is called : corruption.

Yet another cowardly company that cannot be directly contacted. They clearly hate the travel industry, and those working within it.

I made the effort to write a positive review after being contacted by trip advisor to do a review of CitizenM hotel in los angeles after loving the hotel at a great price point for the city considering where i almost stayed for same price. Very simple 4 line review, good location,clean etc.TripAdvisor then emailed to say it would not post the review as it was possibly fraudulant from a staff member (trip advisor emailed me to do the review!). Then they have no avenue to complain. Waste of my time and attack on my character with no way to reply.

I purchased 6x tickets and audio guide for the Hagia Sofia in Istanbul, Turkey. I did not recieved the tickets nor the audio guide by the agreed/confirmed time. Company refused to accept their error and refused to provide a refund. Later found out the tickets were much cheaper when buying at gate. Save your money and avoid disappointment!

I was booked on two tours for exactly the same experience on exactly the same day. I tried to contact the operators to cancel one and was unable to get any results. They both told me to contact Tripadvisor. I contacted Tripadvisor and they said it was up to the operators. I wrote email requesting a refund from Tripadvisor. They refused to give me a refund. I am now out of pocket over $400. I did not receive a confirmation email for one of the 2 bookings so was not aware that it was made until the day before the tour when I received an SMS. Very frustrated and upset about this. Tripadvisor have not offered any help with my situation and yet it is their Platform that caused the problem!!!

they allowed a client to review me when this client never stayed in our hotel not a good company, to allow this its fraud so you deserve 1 star for this its called Karma

Via resort luxury stay sent me to Thailand to stay at Absolute Twin sand resort in Phuket for $260 for 7 nights too good to be true yes no it’s a scam after I stayed with them their agent came to pressure me to attend a 4 hours and half meeting which I did after I refuse to sign on their time share system he accused me of breaching the contract and asked me to pay full amount of the stay with is thousands of dollars when I refused he also threatened me with taking the money from my credit card on file and sending red alert to the Thai custom to prevent me from leaving the country if I cancel my credit card it was horrible experience and made my trip hell please the reason I am writing this to alert you all their agent called via resort luxury stay and that’s where I booked my scam trip and their resorts goes under Absolute twin share resort and spa if that came up you are in a trap scam especially when you arrive and you submit your credit card it’s a mafia group of people not legitimate be careful kind regards

I have been using TripAdvisor for as long as I can think for both bookings and reviews. In this case I negatively reviewed a business namely Cebu Tours who did not follow thier own policy and refunded our money. with several attempts to contact them with no response and ignorance when they responded. With all evidence and no derogative comments clearly Trip Advisor has chosen NOT to post the review with no substantial backing and evidence as to why. CLearly we were trying to give the opputrunity to future travellers to be aware of this company and their dealings. I think this is not a true reflection on the reviews if they pick and choose and do not allow evidence backed negative reviews so that future travellers have the ability to see all reviews before making a judgement on who to make bookings with. I am very disappointed in trip advisor and will be removing our profile along with not using this platform again if they choose to be bias in what reviews they post. very poor on Trip Advisor to do this and certainly questions allot of reviews that are on Trip Advisor as to how accurate these are. or are they managed as well to promote what Trip Advisor want to promote and not a true and accurate reflection from paying customers.
