Worst experience ever, wish I had never let them change the battery on my Tag Heuer watch! The back was put on upside down and some of the screws not secured properly. When I swam with it this Summer I realised that it had stopped working and water had entered the front and caused some rust. They said it failed the pressure test when I took it back to Timpson and said it had to go to the workshop to get assessed. This was the worst mistake I made as they y blamed me and said it it would be over £600 to repair. I asked them to return my watch when it was returned the crown could no longer turn the hands and the crown and stem came out of the watch! Avoid Timpson touching your watch if you have an expensive or precious watch as they don't know what they are doing and lie to cover themselves.

Folkestone Timpsons, what a horrible experience I dropped off my precious handmade cowboy boots bought in Chelsea at a shop called R Sole I enquired as to the cost to resolve both boots even though only one had worn through. I was quoted £60 an incredible price but because of the value I agreed resolved £60 on collecting the boots I noted I redone the heels which were not worn in the first place . What meeting is worse they had a horrible red patch in the middle of the hill when I went to pay they asked me for £64.90 I said no I was quoted £60 so he said okay it’s it don’t bother me 😬I’ll refund you and we’ll start again, on arriving Home I inspected my boots further only to find out there were missing stitches from the soles and the boots had not been glued to the new soles correctly around the instep area, an absolute mess for the £60 paid. I’ll never go there again customer services mundane and uninterested. Unfortunately I cannot see anywhere to post pictures but I’m going back to the shop tomorrow to complain further.

I bought a padlock for 9.99 with baffling/ambiguous instruction on how to change code from factory settings of 0,0,0. I now have a lock that won't open either on the factory settings or the new settings I input.

Incompetent Service and Near-Disaster for an Antique Watch

I took my antique watch to Timpson for a simple winding crown replacement a a full service.Instead of a professional job,it turned into a complete nightmare.When I first got watch back,I was shocked to find they had swapped the original back case for a completely mismatched,bright purple cover without my consent.While they eventually corrected their mistake and replaced it with it's original case after I complained,the fact that a professional repair shop thought it was acceptable to hand back an antique watch in that condition is deeply concerning.You cannot trust their quality control or their handling of rare,historic items.The stress and lack of basic attention to detail mean I will never use them again.

Not getting in here with that on , that’s the phrase I was met with as I approached Timpsons .An emblem of a football team on my jacket and in front of another witness the Timpson employee was so wrong on so many ways without me saying one word .
As I walked away in disbelief and disgust I received another comment in a raised voice .

Caravan keys quoted as £18 for 2, get 1 free; went to the local trade shop ,& got the 2 i needed for £7.50 total. Never again.

Went to the houndshill Sainsbury's in Blackpool to find Simpson for a shoe repair. The staff there was very helpful and did a fantastic repair on my shoes. Could not recommend the staff and service enough.

Visited the branch in Queensferry Street, Edinburgh, to get a couple of watch straps. Good range available and reasonably priced. Special mention to the lady who works there who was extremely helpful and friendly and changed over the straps in a matter of minutes.

I took a pair of pointed front block heeled boots into the Morecambe branch and asked the young man in charge if he could fit (supplied by me) metal toe caps over the front as I'd scuffed them but being PU they cannot be repaired or buffed. He said 'yes come back tomorrow' so I did. He showed me one boot which looked fine then bagged them and handed them to me. When I got home, a 1 min walk away, I opened the bag and the other toe cap must have been rested face down onto a bench as he hammered the underneath to the sole. This caused a very deep crease horizontally across the front which simply could not be missed as it went from a smooth uniform surface (on the one he showed me) to a deep hammered in ridge right across the middle. Appalling 'passing off' as repaired when he actually made them look worse. This was utterly decietful and he did it with courtesy and a smile. Feel sick, like a slight of hand took place. Avoid.

David in the Tesco High Wycombe timpsons is excellent and five stars is not even enough. I did a music magpie order and it was so easy. He is so diligent and helpful, as a customer service manager I appreciate great service. Will definitely go back.

My neighbour needed a replacement key for one that was snapped. Went to Timpson cabin outside Sainsburys in Godalming and we got exceptional service from the manager there, ended up with two replacement keys and one free, even trusted us to go home and try first replacement before cutting the other two, really first class service hence five stars.

Visited the kiosk in Morrisons Exeter on three occasions for dry cleaning and a watch change. On each occasion I was told they couldn’t fulfil the service because the person working there wasn’t fully trained - this was the same person and 3 months apart! Absolute joke, there’s no point having someone there who can’t do anything!!?? At least I was told I could drive to another store! 🙄

Complete rip-off merchants. Quoted £24 at Tesco, Durham to cut 3 standard keys, all the same pattern. Said "no thanks" and walked out, went to an independent and got them done for half the price. Timpson is a millionaire virtue signaller, proclaiming "we pay all our taxes" in his shops. He can afford to when he's charging such extortionate amounts to cut keys!

Whilst at Sainsburys Richmond I noticed a Timpson shed in car park. Been needing a new watch strap for ages. The assistant who was exemplary in his customer service showed me a selection. The one I chose was full leather ; it was fitted in minutes and was £14.90 ... real bargain. They also do car keys... mine would be £300 direct from Abarth, Timpson can do it for £150 .. I shall return! Very impressed , highly recommended.

I had a horrible experience at the Faversham branch a few weeks ago. After multiple back and forths, the key cut for me was not working. The staff member in the store suggested I get my locks replaced (there is no need to do that as I have two working sets of keys..) then started shouting at me very aggressively in front of the whole store, literally going from 0 to 100. He is a vile angry man and it was intimidating as a woman to have to face that behaviour in order to get a refund (which he initially refused) - why would they employ someone like this I wonder.

I used Timpsons in Alloa mill street this morning to print 10 photos the Gentleman in the shop was excellent and did a great job in helping me and explaining the process I have used this place over the years and have always had polite courteous helpful service but this morning was exceptional

I attempted to cut a particular key three times! Two times they tried to use keys in stock which were not right third time decided to order a key which eventually arrived but only 3 copies when I had requested four eventually fourth key arrived but again the keys were not right as they looked nothing like the original. This saga lasted over a few months poor customer service throughtout. Eventually I asked for a refund but will not be going back

My daughter could not get any help from Timmons in her local area New Malden so we ask Frank in Eastbourne and he sorted everything out and did the job
On a Saturday so helpful my daughter was over the moon - well done Frank

Used them to have a new battery fitted to my Apple Watch. Much cheaper than Apple and incredibly quick and efficient. 100% recommend this service
