I recently bought a Chery Tiggo 4 from Sytner Select in Bristol and had a great experience. Zhida and Dan were amazing and couldn’t be more helpful from start to finish with the whole process. They took their time answering all my questions and I never felt rushed which meant a lot. The car is amazing and I am really pleased with my overall experience, I would definitely recommend the garage, and particularly Zhida and Dan! Thanks both!

Absolutely terrible service if you have an issue. Same result every time. I ring, select Service, and no one answers. I have even selected 9 for an emergency and still no answer. I ring the Cardiff Sytner Select, and get through first time every time. I am now forced to deal with Cardiff who are fantastic, especially “Cam,” who I assume manages the service department.

How can two branches of the same company be so different?

Timeline of Issues to date –

* 9 October 2025 – Vehicle collection
* Purchased and collected from Sytner Select Bristol paid over £16k, in full.
* Brake squealing noticed shortly after collection when I opened the window.
* Vehicle juddered when travelling at approximately 60 mph.
* 10 October – Initial contact
* Contacted the dealership and was advised that the workshop was closed.
* Assured that an email would be sent and the workshop would contact me on Monday.
* 12 October – Further issues reported
* Reported brake squealing and concerns about the tyres.
* Reported faulty key fob batteries.
* Reported crumbs in the vehicle interior.
* Reported defective heated seats, with the seat backs heating but the seat bases remaining cold.
* Promised a return call, which I did not receive.
* 13 October – Dashboard warnings and tyre inspection
* Called the dealership again and repeated the outstanding issues.
* Received no return call.
* Mercedes-Benz Breakdown Assistance and tyre warning messages appeared on the dashboard.
* Visited a tyre specialist, who identified four different tyre brands, varying tyre pressures and a previous repair to the rear driver’s-side tyre.
* Reported these findings to Sytner Bristol.
* Assured that the vehicle would be recovered on 14 October.
* 14 October – Recovery failure and formal complaint
* No recovery took place and no update was provided.
* Contacted Sytner Bristol and was told recovery had been postponed until 15 October.
* Contacted the Recovery to ask about the recovery arrangements.
* Submitted a formal complaint regarding the vehicle’s condition, safety concerns and the dealership’s handling of the matter.
* 15 October – Further contact and no resolution
* As of midday, I had received no meaningful response to my formal complaint.
* Called Sytner Bristol again to chase the outstanding issues and request an update.
* I was told to contact the recovery company myself to arrange for the vehicle to be moved to Sytner Wakefield.
* Upon contacting recovery, given the wrong information to quote.
* The vehicle’s safety concerns and the lack of communication remain.

Purchased a brand new Chery vehicle and after just over 8 weeks of having it, it developed a fault. This has now been back at the garage for over 5 weeks and has still not been fixed! No contact from the garage to keep me updated, I have had to chase them! Worst customer service I have experienced!

When I picked up my car after its MOT I was served by Alex, one of the customer service team at Sytner Select Bristol. He was friendly, efficient and professional. Alex dealt with my query succinctly and was very helpful. He is a credit to the team at this branch.
