Catherine supported me during one of the most difficult and frightening periods of my life, where there was a genuine risk to safety. Just before Christmas, at a time when many services were slowing down or unavailable, she acted quickly and helped secure urgent protection when it was needed most. I will always be grateful for that.

Over the last six months, Catherine has supported me throughout the entire court process. She consistently made me feel heard, understood and reassured during an incredibly overwhelming situation. Her background within the police, specialising in domestic abuse and child protection, was evident throughout, not only in her knowledge and professionalism, but in her ability to truly understand the realities and complexities of my circumstances.

Most importantly, Catherine remained focused on ensuring that not only I but also my children were safe, protected and supported throughout the proceedings. Having someone who genuinely cared and advocated for our wellbeing made an enormous difference during an extremely difficult time.

Wrongly told I didn’t have a case for disability discrimination. I discussed the issue with a legal evaluator who eventually told me, after I had to hand over lots of personal info including my NI number, that my case was not disability discrimination. Even though I had already spoken to citizens advice and CA had advised to me to open a case of disability discrimination with legal aid. I don’t think this legal team understands disability and what discrimination against disability is. I was dissuaded by their legal advisor who said what I suffered was not disability discrimination. My landlord had outright refused to make reasonable adjustment for me as a disabled person and was threatening me! Citizens advice had already researched my case and advised me to contact CLA , who also verified the validity of my discriminatory experience only to put me through to these solicitors who dismissed me - after collecting all my personal data. Do NOT deal with this company if you are disabled or vulnerable.

I recently used Stephensons Solicitors for the sale of my house. This is the first time of selling a house so I knew very little about the process. I would like to say a special thank you to Alison F and Dawn B for their patience and ability to explain everything clearly to me. We recently bought our house with Stephensons, working closely with Kim, Jenny and Neve throughout the process.

Overall, the team were incredibly helpful from start to finish. They guided us through each stage clearly and made sure everything was handled properly and in line with all legal requirements. That gave us a lot of confidence during what can be a stressful process.

Our only feedback would be around communication. There were a few occasions where we were waiting for an update and only received one after sending a follow-up email. Even if there is no progress, a quick update would have helped us feel more informed.

That said, we appreciate all the support from the team and would recommend Stephensons to others going through the buying process.

Service given at the initial stage was excellent and Rachel Gildart was extremely professional and very efficient during my enquiry. There were times when I was unable to take her calls but she made it easy to rearrange contact. First class service and would definitely recommend.

Initially we had nothing but praise because of the swift and professional advice we received. Fast forward a few months and our legal issue still isn't resolved and we're not getting replies from our solicitor to numerous chaser emails we've sent re progress. It's been over a month now.
