I've been on hold for over an hour. Unacceptable customer service
I've been on hold for over an hour.. absolutely unacceptable. (It's not peak hours, I called after midnight on a weekday & it's now 1:35 am)
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service! Do not fall for their offers of special deals to stay with them once you decide to cancel - they are a bait and switch!
Started process of cancelling a few months back and during cancellation, received a couple of offers as enticement to stay. Picked the $0.99/mn for 3 mn. Did this the night before the account was due for billing, so wasn't surprised when I was charged the full amount that month. Figured they'd make the adjustment the following month. Next month was again charged the full amount, so contacted customer service. Lots of back & forth & requests for more info. All very nice.
Ended up getting escalated to their Tier 2 Customer Service and that rep. basically called me a liar. His exact words were "After review of your subscription, we do not show any record of you accepting any specific promotion and ESPECIALLY NOT a promotion for $0.99 per month for three months." Wow! So many ways to say the same thing and he chose to say it in the most unprofessional way possible. Needless to say, his response made me so angry that I went online to cancel. Guess what! The same offer comes up again! So I take a copy of it and forward it back to them - again asking for a credit.
Long story short, rep. refused to forward my request to his supervisor and closed the claim. What a horrible customer service experience. Give the customer the deal YOU offered them and they’ll probably stay. Bad business practice as well if you do the math. Absolute textbook perfect method for how to lose your customers.
So be warned - do not take advantage of their offers at cancellation - or videotape it to protect yourself. I'm disputing the overcharges with my bank, but what a pain.
