Thieves

Thieves! If I could give them -100 stars I would. If you want to get locked into something with no way out go for it. You can’t cancel. I’ve tried for weeks over the phone, online, from a cell phone, from a laptop, from a PC.
A Starz customer service rep will tell you that you have to cancel through Roku… when you try that they will tell you to circle back around to Starz where you already know nothing will happen. It’s a trap. Don’t fall for it.
Keep away from Starz unless you want to spend the rest of your life paying for it. THERE IS NO CANCELLING!

Tired of being snuck attack by the…

Tired of being snuck attack by the filthy commercials on YouTube! I dont mind whatever starz has going on but now im being attacked by their very unfunny gay ghost commercials where some lady drops the F bomb right off the bat. That is verbal abuse that i have to suffer. I like the boxing matches so i give it 2 starz but the commercials a bit much.

App wouldnt download, said i needed 15 ios. Well i already had level 15 ios. And they had my money and i never got an answer to why it wouldnt work. I was told to do stupid crap that id already done like restart my device, then delete the app, i said how do i delete an app that never downloaded!!!!
Starz blamed apple and apple blamed starz and then starz blamed amazon, who had nothing to do eith anything. So i cancelled the trial and got a refund from paypal.

Cancelled a subscription and they are still charging me!!! Outrageous

Back in August 2022 I've started a subscription with Starz Play under a £1.99 offer, the subscription reniewed automatically and in September I payed full price - £4.99 and immediately cancelled it as I wasn't using the streaming service as I though I would, however for my (unpleasant) surprise I'm still being charged in my credit card for a subscription that I've already cancelled back in September.

I'd also like to highlight that is really frustrating and unacceptable that a streaming service doesn’t provide a customer service number in the UK to sort this kind of situation out.

Joke of a company

Absolutely fuming! No reminder of renewal and as I suffer with a disability I forgot to cancel the subscription. I haven’t used the app for months and when I ask for a refund they proceed to tell me because I opened the app to cancel, they will not refund me??? What kind of sorcery is that? So how am I meant to cancel if I’m not allowed to open the app? Any excuse not to refund me so now I have paid for something I’m not even using and they don’t care. Never using this again.

There's cheaper and more reliable options!

Stars needs to sell some there series out to other networks instead of making fans wait 2 damn years to see what happens in the following. Their movies are on repeat. I cancelled my subscription. It's cheaper to buy the seasons 9n Amazon as there released. Where the hell is Power Book 2 season 3 jerks!!!

Starzplay really is not good

Starzplay really is not good. On sports it has advertisements all through and it's disappointing that having paid for subscription you are forced to see advertisements that are repeated on and on with no change or variety. Very very sad experience.
Without advertisements this would be a great sports channel.

I’m Tired of the Stars Commercial

I’m binge watching a series and forced to sit through the same Stars promotional segment between each episode. Seems like my monthly fee should protect me from this. And the long intro without the option to skip it. It’s enough to make me cancel Starz and wait until the program finds it’s way to Netflix.

This is a terrible terrible company, I bought a cricket subscription despite reading all the reviews here, hoping that it would be different, but I guess I learnt my lesson the hard way. After I paid for my one month worth of subscription, just days before the T20, world cup, they've suddenly created a new paywall, which required me to pay another 100 AED extra over and above the subscription amount.

I get that you want to make hay while the sun shines, but be upfront and honest about it when people are signing up for your services. There was no mention of any such separate requirement when I signed up. What other cricket is going to be broadcast this month once the T20 worldcup starts, for people to pick up your base subscription and then also having to pay four times that? Clearly predatory tactics and no ethics whatsoever. Have cancelled subscription (which won't be refunded) and HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE DOES ANY BUSINESS WITH THESE UNSCRUPULOUS PEOPLE.

I’ve had STARZ for over 2 years

I’ve had STARZ for over 2 years. Everyte I go on the app it says re activate account after it charges me the money. Called customer service they told me to update my app. After I did that it still doesn’t work. It’s been 3 months they take my money and I can’t watch anything on the app. This may not happen to you but it’s a little weird this happened right when 50 cent was leaving. They went down hill

ZERO STARS - STARZPLAY IS A JOKE

If I could put zero stars I would! I only bought starzplay to watch outlander through prime when I cancelled my subscription I continued to be charged for 4 months. Thankfully PayPal intervened, agreed to pay back my money and investigate this matter however it was a total saga and time I'll never get bac, I would not recommend anyone sign up to this misery of a company!!

They will do all they can to take your money

I canceled my membership on the 23rd took him six days to cancel it and I’m still getting attempts to charge the $25.67 for the next three months! I called to have them fix it or stop charging it and they told me to give it 2 to 3 days. It’s been the 2 to 3 days and I’m still getting attempts to take the payment for a membership that I’ve canceled.

Ripped off by STARZ

I subscribed to Starz only to watch Outlander. After the series was over, I cancelled my subscription. Satisfied I had done my due diligence, I forgot about it all..until I received a bill on my card statement. $45 dollars for 6 months of service. I went to the tv and hit the Starz icon box and sure enough, it was active! I immediately called Starz. They told me about the fee for 6 months of usage. I told them I did not use or intend to use Starz after the last Outlander series aired. He told me that because I had clicked on the Starz icon on my smart TV that constituted a viewing! I could only get 5 months of my wrongful monthly subscription charge credited back to my card!! Doesn't take much for me to buoycott unethical businesses. I'm done with Starz. I will watch Outlander at a friend's house. Oh, by the way, no evidence that Starz had been "watched" or tapped into for the 6 months preceeding today's bad news. Curious that!!!

Just signed up for 3 months so trying to give Starz a fair trial but please! I have a large tv so we sit a reasonable distance from the screen and why in the world you make the program selection screen impossible to read? The pictures/descriptions practically force you to get up to read them. NOT!

Aweful company and two app system…

Aweful company and two app system within the Firestick platform. There are two apps. Noticed I was being charged twice(both apps) for almost a year. Cancelled and came back being careful to subscribe to only one. After a couple months I noticed that it only shows three rows with limited selections. I go to the other app and the full library is there only it ask for me to resubscribe even though I am subscribed. I call and email them and get nothing. They are awful and need new leadership.
