Spartan Race Omdömen 304

Popped my hammy and won't be able to run in my destination race. That sucks, but not much I can do about it. So I went to give my tickets (1 adult, 2 kids, 1 spectator) to a friend and found that I have to pay $36.15 per ticket to transfer them. I literally cannot give what I've already paid for away without being charged again. That's absurd. But wait! It gets better. I paid just under $26/ticket for the kids race, and the spectator ticket was $20. Surely the transfer fee would be lower for these lesser-price tickets, right? Nope. $36.15 per ticket. Let's take a look at the math: that would be a $108.45 fee paid by the ticket holder (myself) to Spartan Race, Inc. to transfer three tickets I previously purchased for just under $72. All four tickets originally cost me $236.33. To transfer them, I'll have to pay an additional $144.60. Needless to say, I informed my friends I would no longer be giving them my tickets.

To Spartan Race, Inc.: I hope you invest my $236.33 wisely because it is the last of my money you will ever see. Actually, I would consider paying for one last thing. I'll pay $36.15 for an opportunity to sit face-to-face with the CEO, one executive to another, and let him try to justify this insanity.

Aus medizinischen Gründen konnte ich nicht am Rennen teilnehmen. Für die Umbuchung wurden trotz rechtzeitiger Meldung vorab 30 Euro verlangt, schlussendlich wurde sie aber gar nicht gemacht und meine Nachrichten nicht beantwortet. Nie wieder!

Viele Bewertungen geben das wieder, was ich leider auch erfahren habe.
Im Grunde ein tolles Rennen und Abenteuer. Immer gut organisiert.
Aber wehe es geht was mit dem Bezahlen schief, fehlerhafte Abbuchung, Rückerstattung usw., dann hast du zu kämpfen. Du kriegst einfach keine brauchbaren Antworten (wenn überhaupt), alles ist dann sehr schleierhaft und unbefriedigend.

For some reason, in order to transfer a ticket, you have to pay a $40, and then your friend who should use a transfer ticket, should also pay all the fees. And this sky rockets your ticket price to over $230.

And in the meantime, the customer service is rude and gives you a big "f***-you" attitude.

Grundsätzlich würde Spartan Race 0 Sterne verdienen, aber diese Bewertung ist leider nicht möglich. Auf die negativen Vorgeschichten möchte ich hier nicht eingehen. Ich warte aber nun seit 4 Monaten auf die Rückerstattung. Auf unzählige schriftliche Kontaktversuche hat Spartan Race nur einmal reagiert, mit der Aufforderung mich per Postweg zu melden. Das habe ich auch gemacht, aber trotzdem keine Antwort oder Rückerstattung. Ich habe die Angelegenheit nun an das VKI übergeben. Nie wieder Spartan Race!!!

Volunteered 100s of hours, I have emails stating these points never expire. After the pandemic, some lost 600 hours+ of volunteer hours. Was banned from their social media for sharing proof of management stating these points would never expire. Lots of wasted travel, costs and time out of pocket. Lost $1000’s from
Cancelled or rescheduled races too. Dates would often move a week or two before, also losing flight & accommodation costs. Never got any refunds. Fraudulent company.

Trotz schriftlicher Zusicherung von Spartan Austria und der gesetzlichen Verpflichtung keine Rückerstattung des Restbetrages! Sachverhaltsdarstellung an die Staatsanwaltschaft wird gelegt. Unglaublich solche Machenschaften. Einst eine der besten Veranstaltungen hat man sich für Mittelmaß und Abzocke verschrieben. Nie wieder Spartan Race...

Stay away. They canceled the race back in 2020 due to pandemic and applied “no refund” “ no cancelation” policy to their own cancelation. This is a joke . They basically took and pocketed money of hundreds of people. They were extremely inflexible when I explained to them that participating in new offered races in the following years was not an option for me due to being ill with covid several times . I never received my refund to this date.
Scammers and crooks.

Ich hab immer gern an den Rennen teilgenommen bis zur PANDEMIE. Seitdem sitze ich auf Gutscheinen im Wert von 700 EUR die ich nicht einlösen kann und Einschreiben nach Liechtenstein kamen zurück mit dem Vermerk "abgewiesen". Anfragen an Spartan selbst bleiben ebenfalls unbeantwortet. Wer groß von Sportlichkeit und Fairness spricht, sollte dies auch leben und fair gegenüber den Sportlern sein. Rennen finden doch weiterhin statt, dann sollte es auch möglich sein, die Erstattungen zu veranlassen und sich nicht hinter der XChange Sport und Event AG als deren Zahlungsdienstleister zu verstecken bzw. uns alle zu ignorieren und damit derart zu betrügen.

Die Geschäftspolitik ist einfach nur eine Frechheit. Die Läufe an sich sind meidt an spannenden Orten und nicht schlecht. Das ändert leider nichts an einer einzigen kommerziellen Geldmacherei mit miserablen Support und Änderungsmodalitäten in der Vergangenheit

Abzocke - trotz Einschreiben keine Rückerstattung der Kosten für das wegen Corona ausgefallene Rennen, entgegen der gesetzlichen Vorgabe. Angebotener Gutschein musste wegen Terminkonflikt bei 3 Personen abgelehnt werden. Keine Rückmeldung mehr von Servicecenter, Absage via Facebook - nie wieder!

This company has minimal support staff to answer questions. Most of their fees are ridiculous add ons like mandatory parking fees etc. Their website is the most frustrating to navigate. SAVE YOUR MONEY, do not support this company.

After 4 weeks of emailing customer service, 12 emails and filing a complaint to the Michigan attorney general, I finally received a refund for a race they cancelled. I pre purchased race tickets (spent $200) for a Michigan race in July 2022 and Spartan cancelled the race in October 2022. I followed the directions in the email but they only sent me a partial refund of 2 tickets. I went back and forth with customer service via email and they insisted that they couldn’t refund the kids passes and processing fees. My friend suggested that I file a claim with the MI attorney general. I did that and finally got a full refund. If you pre purchase your tickets and they cancel, don't expect that they will do the right thing to refund your money!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I made an order 20 days ago for shoes that I was planning to wear in an upcoming Spartan Beast race. When I didn't get an update on the shipment after a week, I reached out on the website by making a "request" only to receive an automated response that they will look into it and get back to me... Which they never did! So I made another request a week later with the same outcome.

Now, it's 20 days since I made my order and still no contact. When I reached out to DHL, they said they didn't even receive my package to ship it!!! There is no number to call or way to get in touch other than these pathetic online requests.

I would honestly give them 0 stars if I could for the lack of care for the customer and shady contact methods. For what it's worth, I will bring this up with the race organizers and hopefully get to the bottom of this issue. But one thing is for sure, I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEIR ONLINE STORE EVER AGAIN!

Spartan has the absolutely most terrible customer service I've ever received from any event, or from any business in my life. The event postponed 6 times, and every time refused to offer refunds. Any communicatuon from their customer service or staff was brief, dismissive and even at times aggresive. Once they have tickets holders money they don't care about delivering an event or serving their customers. They only offered refunds, after 6 postponements, after they were forced to respond because increasing numbers of customers were contacting Fair Go, and Commerce Commission and etc.

The Spartan company operates events across NZ and Australia. I recommend never entering a Spartan event in NZ or Australia!

Worst experience ever, disgusted! Will never book a Spartan event ever again.
You pay your $200 only to find they move the race less than a week out, so not offer a refund, instead say you can transfer your entry to another Spartan race for the following year.. then only to also state that there won’t be another race in your country (NZ) so you’ll have to travel to AUS to do it.

Dårlig service, ingen penge tilbage. De har snydt alle der var tilmeldt deres løb i dk. Meld jer aldrig til deres løb.

Organisation correct mais gestion des courses pendant période covid horrible. Obligation de repayer pour une course entièrement payée et plusieurs fois repoussée.
Aucunes reconnaissance ni excuses de spartan.

Man erhält (auch mit mehrfacher Urgenz) nicht mal eine Rückmeldung auf eine Anfrage.
Kunden werden schlichtweg ignoriert.

Gutschein im Wert von 150€ (Absage aufgrund von Corona Lockdown 2020) kann nicht mehr eingelöst werden.
Reinste Abzocke! 0 Sterne wären stimmiger.
Generell sind die Races sehr überteuert (nicht verhältnismäßig).. sehr hohe Umbuchungsgebühren, werden verlangt.. und das obwohl das ursprüngliche Race nachträglich sogar abgesagt wurde.. (siehe Spartan Race München) KEINE Rückerstattung von zu viel bezahlten Gebühren...
