ok with disappointing ending
Upon arrival, I was told that a room with a king size bed was reserved for 2 adults and a 16-year old! Not on at all! they eventually found a room with a twin bed and a sleeper couch. as we dropped our bags in the room to change, a room wih 2 twin beds were found.
when we checked out, I had to make another payment as the payment taken from my credit card on Friday by the hotel group did not reflect. I now have to monitor my account to see when both goes through then request a refund that will take 3 - 4 days. Totally unacceptable.

Friendly and informative help from Uchizi - 5 stars for him
Request for a quote was done promptly, rates were very competitive, therefore I chose South African Hotels and will use them for all future bookings and recommend to Australians visiting South Africa. It was great to have a telephone number on the quote to call and ask questions. One suggestion though an on-line paying system,example, paypal or vero secure payment options, instead of sending credit card details via fax or email.

Booking was fine; hotel was so-so.
The booking went smoothly and the reservation was fine. The hotel is lovely. Staff is a little dicey. We found the breakfast buffet a bit confusing, and apparently asked the wrong person for eggs. The waitress got a bit hostile. Then, on checkout, we waited and waited for our luggage to be brought to the front. I returned to reception and asked, again, for the bags. Finally, after 20 minutes, my husband went to the front desk and asked for the key back so he could get the luggage himself. The manager handed him the key, thought better of it, and immediately rang for someone to get the bags. They finally came five or ten minutes later.

I contacted South African Hotels 6 hours on the same day in which I checked in and they sorted me out very fast and with absolute ease. They got everything right from the quote / payment to the correct room selection and check-in with no effort at all. I am very impressed and will be using South African Hotels in the future again. No hassle no fuss just brilliant service.
