This company refuses to give me a refund. I have contacted the help desk asking to cancel my order since the EDD is too far away. I got a response advising that delivery times are not determined by them but no comms regarding my cancellation. It takes a lot of effort to amend or cancel an order and I would advise people to use john lewis or similar if they wish to buy any sony products. Poor customer service.

There was a time when SONY cared about the reputation of its products and its customer service.
I've been a fairly loyal SONY customer over the past 50+ years, both here in the UK and overseas, in the far-east. So when my Onkyo receiver decided to retire recently, I decided I would 'go back' to good old SONY. Oh dear!
The brand new STRDH190 receiever amplifier arrived at the weekend. As soon as I put mains voltage on to it, it hummed. Not from the speakers, as I had decided to disconnect all my components.
So, there was a fault straight out of the box.
I had bought the amp from Crawley Sony Centre (Avensys) via Amazon.
As this was an apparent fault inside the new equipment I followed the Amazon prompts to resolve the issue.
It guided me to SONY
Basically, SONY wasn't interested. I was asked to carry out a factory reset ( I reckon that to be a degaussing) which did not resolve the issue.
The SONY CSA told me to go back to Amazon.
In short, despite SONY having produced a faulty piece of equipment it preferred to stretch out the pain.
To avoid the pain of dealing with SONY again, I have decided the best solution is not to buy the Company's equipment. I'd suggest that others might do the same.
I knew I'd not bought a quality item when the speaker socket failed as I inserted a lead. The spring came out and the small lever disengaged. I found myself repairing this as well, the shipping packaging still on the floor around me.

Unfortunately, my experience has been an absolute disaster, entirely stemming from the delivery process handled by their chosen logistics partner, Arrow XL. This review addresses Sony's accountability for their supply chain management.
The Timeline of Failure:
First Delivery Attempt: The courier arrived significantly outside the agreed-upon time window and failed to call me 30 minutes prior, as confirmed by the service.
Second Delivery Attempt (The Critical Failure): I was given a narrow window of 7 AM to 9 AM. I stayed home waiting until 4 PM. The courier did not show up during this entire period. The moment I stepped out for a short time, they allegedly arrived.
The Falsified Proof of Delivery (POD): Late that evening, I received a notification stating the TV had been delivered and signed for, complete with an alleged signature and photographic proof. This is an outright lie. I never received the item, the signature is fake, and the photograph must be fraudulent or misleading.
The Impact:
This is not just about a late delivery; this is a severe breach of trust and consumer rights. A high-value item has been allegedly delivered to an unknown location, or its status has been deliberately falsified by the courier.
My Message to Sony UK:
Your reputation for premium quality is severely undermined when you partner with a logistics company (Arrow XL) that engages in dishonest practices and fraudulent delivery claims. This incident creates a significant security risk for the customer and shows a critical failure in your supply chain management. I demand an immediate investigation into the falsified proof of delivery and the prompt location or replacement of my television.
Recommendation: Potential buyers should be extremely cautious when ordering directly, as the delivery experience can quickly turn into a fraudulent ordeal. Sony must be held accountable for the actions of their delivery partners.

Sony telephones
Have had several flagship Sony telephones it's the only telephone I like, shame the zoom pictures & videos are not as good as some other telephone makes, also in poor light pictures & videos are not as good, for the high price Sony shouldn't be holding these improvements back for so long, in fact Sony telephones in the last couple of years have been going back wards so they can get better again, there's no 4 k screen anymore which was the reason I purchased Sony Xperia telephones, the Sony telephone could do with a bigger screen & bigger battery, also now videos & pictures are saved to Google which as ruined the Sony telephone, would like Sony to do red telephones like the Japanese market model, I could never afford a new Sony telephone only a second hand telephone as they are so over priced, would like Sony's to have a door to cover the camera lenses for protection or sell a case that had a lense cover door. SD card is good so is the shutter button, head phone jack & square corners on the telephone. The torches on the Sony's are no better than they were 10 years ago so needs a more powerful torch like other makes flag ships telephones
Terrible customer service
Sony are a terrible company for customer service. I ordered an OLED TV and soundbar with installation. TV and sound bar were delivered over two weeks ago and item has been sat in the box on my dining room floor ever since! Installation was meant to happen on 01/12/25 and had I not have rang up at 9.30 to find out what time they were coming I would still be sat here. Engineer cancelled but failed to tell us they had cancelled. Spoke with Sony customer service who apologised profusely and as compensation we’re going to give me a £200 Sony voucher to be used on any purchase online above £220! That is not compensation just a money making scheme for Sony! After emailing back to say I was not accepting the poor offer of having to soend more money with Sony I am still waiting for a reply and also still waiting for my TV to be installed. Will never buy from Sony again.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Sony UK. I purchased a TV and a soundbar on 29/11/2025 specifically because the estimated delivery date was 03/12/2025. The delivery had already been confirmed for 3 December; however, today I received a message from the courier informing me that I would need to reschedule, as they are unable to deliver on the agreed date. The next available slot offered is 12 December, which is completely unacceptable.
This situation raises serious concerns. What is happening at Sony that so many customers are reporting negative experiences? I have been a loyal Sony customer for over 20 years, yet if my TV is not delivered by 5 December, I will cancel my £2000 order and will no longer purchase any Sony products in the future.
My family (including two young nephews) is travelling from another country to visit me from 5 to 10 December, and I will be left without a TV in my own home due to Sony’s failure to honour the agreed delivery date.
I also attempted to contact ArrowXL via their chat service (the only method available). After waiting nearly two hours, the only response I received was, ‘So sorry.’ This level of service is simply unacceptable.
I expect immediate action and a prompt resolution. If this issue is not resolved, I will contact the Citizens Advice and pursue my rights accordingly.

Sony don’t care about their customers
Sony don’t care about their customers. I ordered an OLED Tv on 12/11/25 which was due to be delivered on 15/11/25. Arrow XL failed to make the delivery and have provided no update since 17/11/25. I contacted Sony on 17/11/25 who agreed a resolution by 20/11/25 and that never happened. I rang them on 21/11/25 and was told they’d provide an update by 26/11/25 and that didn’t happen. Sony have had my money for more than two weeks, have not delivered my TV and have not given any refund. I feel scammed by them. They don’t deliver the goods and don’t deliver any customer service.

As a professional I cannot have a camera sitting around waiting for a repair. My repair was turned around in a week, I was informed of the progress and even got to speak to the Technician to nail down the intermittent problem! ****** six star review not 5!

Still got tech going form them and from CD players, TV's and Mp3 players ... and headphones! Been abig part of my life SONY as I love music so much! Hats off to them and their UK team!
TV not delivered
I ordered a TV directly from Sony, but the experience has been extremely disappointing. Their delivery partner, Arrow XL, repeatedly promised delivery throughout the day, only to fail to show up. I was then told they couldn’t deliver for another week, which was unacceptable.
As a result, I had to cancel my order with Sony. Shockingly, despite the fact that the TV was never delivered, Sony informed me I must now wait up to 14 days for a refund. This feels unreasonable and unfair — I’ve paid for a product I never received, and now I’m left waiting weeks to get my money back.
Overall, the process has been frustrating from start to finish: poor communication from Arrow XL, and a lack of urgency from Sony in resolving the issue. I expected better service from a brand of Sony’s reputation.

They have stolen my money for product never delivered
I ordered a tv online from Sony on the 24th Oct 2025 which was promised for delivery on 29th Oct.
Their appalling delivery company called Arrow XL arrived at my home on this date but informed me my TV was not on the lorry. Later this day i received emails saying my tv had been delivered and signed for and then further emails from Sony that the warranty had commenced on the tv i had not received.
After many phone calls and being told i would have to wait another 6 days for redelivery by Arrow XL I cancelled the order. At current date I have been waiting 14 days for a refund for the tv i never received although have made numerous calls to their customer service team who are aplogetic but cannot resolve my refund. Getting tired of this now and am considering further actions against them. Will never use this company again !!!
Dissatisfied with 5 year extended warranty
I bought a Sony tv 55 inch on 28th Aug 2020. With a 5 year extended warranty which expires then too. We hit problems in 20th March 2025, and they brought a brand new TV (which was not the same model and had awful sound) however we accepted it. Since we were away on holiday when back we realised there is something seriously wrong with the HDMI connection and the pictures continuously flickers. Sony refuses to sort this out saying that it was reported 3 weeks after my 5 year warranty expiry date. I am absolutely shocked at this behaviour. One expects to get a TV replacement under warranty that at least works for a year, otherwise what is the point of buying a 5 year warranty. This is a joke. I want to deal with someone higher up and their customer services say that there is no one higher up. I am shocked
No resolution and horrendous customer service
My brand new playstation (2 months old) completely died in August and when I tried to raise a repair request something on their system stopped them from raising a return label. Instead of trying to fix the problem I have been told essentially they have no idea when they can process my repair request and as of now (November) and after me phoning dozens of times I am not further forward. At this rate they may run out the warranty before they fix anything. Zero communication and I have been left with a dead console. Absolutely atrocious and they don't even have a complaints contact aside from me writing and sending a letter to them which should speak volumes. I hope they eventually fix my console and I hope I never have to deal with their customer service again after that
