2 advisors i dealt with are great. But as long as you can pay you are good. No help if you can't pay whether you have finished or not

I personally had a positive experience at SNHU, and now I’m getting recruited for roles offering $50–80K more annually, so I really can’t complain. Yes, there’s a lot of self‑teaching, but that actually strengthened my confidence, grit, and independence — it made me a better researcher and someone who trusts their own abilities. My financial aid experience was smooth, my academic advisor was great, and about 90% of my professors were decent, supportive people who offered help, gave thoughtful feedback, and were honest when a paper needed more substance or when it was strong.

SNHU is accredited, affordable, and definitely writing‑heavy, but I thrive in asynchronous environments because they give me time to reflect, evaluate, and research — you just have to be willing to put in the work. And honestly, if you look up reviews for any school, even Ivy League universities like Columbia, Harvard, UPenn, or big state schools like Rutgers, you’ll find negative comments. So I take everything online with a grain of salt because every student’s experience is different.

So glad I jumped ship before fully enrolling. They gave me the run around about financial aid, told me to fill out FASFA for the incorrect year, then acted like I was the one who needed to be “reviewed” for financial aid. Their tuition goes up HUNDREDS every semester. No thanks.

The school I finished in, most people gave up on going to school. I give it a 10 out of 10. They truly help you with your special needs, and with your primary doctor's help, you can succeed. Google reviews are 3.7, and on Niche they are 4.4. The people who truly think it's a scam give up halfway; it is a non-profit school. They have it on campus and in hybrid classes. I got my BA. Now let me clear up what the school does. If you have trouble with special education, this is a perfect school for you because it has accommodations for you and you can call their OAC in the special education department. If you are in class and you are having trouble because of your special education, then this is the best school for you, doing hybrid and on-campus labs. If you are working from 9am to 5pm M-S, this is the best school for you. If you learn things that on campus aren't your way of learning, such as trouble with lectures, and you need help, this school will help you with that. There is a lot of research, just like many other schools. Do you even know no matter what school you finished at, you still have to get your work license in the field you're in? Also, I was introduced by my famous friends on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, and whoever gives my school a poor rating is because they didn't do it here; maybe other schools are not here. Price it the same amount as you were going to school here in California or any other state. What matters is what you can do with your passion and how you can truly love your passion.

Just another FRAUDSTER "non-profit" that needs to be dismantled! Total scumbags and have no problem working with cyber thieves and stealing hard working Americans identity for these libtards to play pretend as if they accomplished something in life. If you can count to 10, you can also get a "bachelor's degree" at SNHU. They have a scam working with Edfinancial as well. I have obtained an attorney and will do whatever it takes to shut this fraudulent POS institution down and expose them!

Unfavorable. Admission to this school was not the best. I had to get transcripts a couple times- then had to send proof that they had them. Took forever to understand the transfer credits. They allow transferring up to 90 credits, but they put me at 87 when I know I should have topped out at 90. Still required 30 credits through their organization despite being at the end of a BS Psych program with another college (6 classes/18 credits). SNHU was just cheaper. My overall experience was one of uncertainty. If they can't even get any of the admission information right, without me intervening and doing the work, what can I expect from the school itself. Not comfortable with their description of accreditation either. Polite pass.

Southern New Hampshire University has been a good option for me as an online student, especially because of its flexibility. The online format makes it possible to balance school with life responsibilities, which is extremely important for non-traditional students. The courses are structured and clear, and most instructors are responsive and supportive. I appreciate that assignment and expectations are outlined upfront, which helps with time management. Academic advisors are generally helpful and easy to reach when need guidance or have questions about your degree path That said, online learning does require strong self-discipline. SNHU is a solid choice for students who need flexibility, affordability, and accredited online program. If you are self- motivated and comfortable learning online, it can be a very good experience.

I have been trying for over a year now to get this University to remove 2 student loans that they allowed someone to open using my information. They have yet to comply with the request. And they refuse to talk to my Attorney. This schools never checks the identity of its students. Do not trust them

This is not a school. This is a diploma mill. They take your money, check off a box, and send you on your way. I am so thoroughly disgusted with my experience and how this institution is run. They have so little regard for their students' intelligence that they don't even trust you to register for your own courses- you have to have an advisor register for you. That also means that if you can't reach anyone to register for you quick enough, you will miss out on the courses you actually want. And speaking of advisors- forget about any privacy or actual advising. What they do not disclose to you is that emails are accessed by whomever happens to be on duty that afternoon. They claim this is to your benefit so you can receive a quicker reply. What this means is that you are constantly getting different points of view and conflicting information from people who are not familiar with your situation. The majority of the instructors I have had have been disengaged, nonreponsive, and relied on AI for discussion responses. "Discussions" are a joke. Everyone is required to make one submission and submit two responses- which are all the same because pretty much everyone uses ChatGPT. If you are looking to actually receive an education and benefit from real teaching, this is 100% not the school for you.

I had a great Experience with Monica, the first person who recruits you, but the financial aid is a nightmare. From September 29th until now, October 29, they had me resubmitting documents over and over to get financially approved. I have never had such an unprofessional and run-around experience in my life. A lead, Angie, was assisting me to get to the appeal department, but not very well at all. This school is not capable of handling a lot of students. Wasting people's time like you're begging them to go to their school!

I spent two years of my life at SNHU and honestly can say, I learned absolutely nothing. The professors do not challenge you, there is no class lectures or directions so you need to be self guiding. Little to no help from the career department. One class in my computer science major was just copy and paste the code and type what the output was. Really! I realize I was getting nowhere with the school so I left. This college I am at now I have learned more in 3 months being here than I have learned in my two years wasting my time at SNHU. And I now owe them money even after I withdrawed during my grace period so I shouldn't owe. Worst school ever.

I am enrolled in the Cybersecurity Bachelors Program and what they don’t show you on there website that you have to take an interdisciplinary course that has nothing to do with your major. They say it’s a requirement but seeing that there are only two courses to choose from, worst options I have ever seen, and what’s worse the points are unevenly distributed and the final projects are worth half of the courses grade. Basically the course is rigged against you. I signed up for cybersecurity not a business major.

Everything was great until it was time to pay SNHU. They told me I had a grace period but they were so greedy that they sent it to collection without giving me time to pay and I requested over and over for a payment plan they didn't care once I graduated. The financial team was rude and lied to me

Do not waste your time going/taking online classes here. The amount of misinformation I received on numerous occasions is mind boggling. I will never recommend this university to anyone. From the beginning, I stated NUMEROUS times that I did not want to use financial aid. I planned to pay in full with or without the grant I received after being pushed to fill out a FAFSA. But now, I am being asked to pay the amount that includes financial aid. Talk about a rip off. I have called and spent many hours on the phone, each time with a new person in the financial aid department having to re-explain my situation, even though at the beginning of each call they "claim" to record all the calls. Lo and behold, I file a complaint and they didn't listen to a single call - refusing to acknowledge the 100 times I stated I AM PAYING IN FULL AND NOT USING FINANCIAL AID.

If you want to get a degree, and want to actually trust the administration to handle your account correctly (not stress you out each semester) don't use SNHU. I will scream it from the mountain tops. DO NOT USE SNHU. I only went here for two, 8 week semesters, and that was enough. That should speak volumes.

I just started but, already thinking about switching schools. I am going for my Master's and my first course one of the professor's was too much. Everyone has a life and she takes her role way too far. I have only had two professor's like that in the past. But I think it is bullshit that you cannot withdraw in the fourth week. You do not really know how a professor will be until about the 4th week. Such bullshit.

Processing times for financial aid, lack-luster academic advising, administrative mistakes, old-outdated systems, peer-led EVERYTHING,to financial aid sitting in school accounts for 2 days in which you always have to stay on top of this school. This has been a HORRENDOUS educational experience. Please sort your options.

I attended SNHU and although the curriculum is difficult as an MBA student, the support was AMAZING. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA but I really worked extremely hard. THANKS SNHU.

Not even worth applying. I was approved for a creative writing program, but when I applied for aid, it was denied. I appealed and that was denied to because it would "not be benefical to the student." I applied to another online university that is has better reviews and more credibility, and was approved for aid in a week. Not just for the next term, but for the whole year. If I checked the reviews beforehand, I would've never wasted time here.

This school is the absolute worst. My transcripts were ordered for review to get into the Engineer program… I have a MBA… I was told 90 credits would be accepted… when my transcript was received they said they would not transfer any credits because the classes are higher than the Engineer program… makes no sense… if I took a Master level Statistic class why would I need to take an entry level one… it’s no different than testing out of a class…you should get credit for your competency and grades. Never settle the education you have matters and it’s this school just missed out. I blame leadership… the decisions of people making are making are not leadership but not surprised when no good example exist in today’s society.
