Repair issue completely ignored
Repair issue completely ignored. Person responsible is Nijel Ward. Currently seeking legal aid. Was good when it was Network Homes. Ever since sovereign took over, issues galore. Also very poor contractors refusing to work and repeatedly attending six times to locate leek and not being able to do the job. A surveyor told me that they are above their heads with properties that they can not manage. The higher the rent goes up, the amount of repairs they're willing to do, goes down. The staff however are nice and most of them are left over from sovereign.

I have twice requested a copy of my survey that was done my Michael Kerney on 18th March 2026.
My concerns were passed onto Paul Grant and Tyrell Tucker.
Today I was informed that Tyrell Tucker has stated that I am not entitled to this survey. Under the freedom of information act 2000 which applies to housing associations as you are public function and under the data protection act of 2018 I am requesting information in relation to the condition of the property as it affects me.
SNG have continued to fail to provide updates and make changes in unsafe living environment for a 70+ year-old woman living with diabetes. This situation has had a huge impact on my health. I’m unable to eat in my kitchen as it is unsafe.
If you are in this email thread, it is because you are a part of the ongoing issues I have had for almost 2 years.
Gilmartin's repair company is a fraud
Gilmartin's repair company is a fraud! Does it even have a website? Do not trust these people - we have had 7 so-called engineers "visit the site", and every time they showed up, they were unable to do the job. You basically receive a text message that they have arrived or on the way, but they never do the job! Instead, they call your number and assure you they are going to do their job. Next day you find out another appointment booked and the next engineer shows up again without any knowledge what to do. Then the third, etc. Stay away, the SNG is either being taken for idiots or they are in this scam together. Who is being played? The TENANTS. The previous repairs company that teamed up with SNG was the same - FRAUD.

April 1st they partnered with Gilmartin the biggest April fool ever. Gilmartin are bottom of the pit organisation.
SNG are completely incompetent
Sovereign Network Group is completely incompetent. We own a leasehold non-domestic property within a building they own the freehold of. None of their frontline staff were able to connect us to the right people behind the scenes, when we identified the person who we need to maintain a relationship with they simply dont reply to emails, or supply the information we require. Even their complaints procedure is setup to put a huge amount of effort into providing a lengthy defensive response rather than actually sorting out any issue at hand.
Sovereign Housing london nw2w Tennents ignored
Sovereign Housing in nw2 London are ignoring tennents. Not getting back to them or not answering them. Repair requests after quotes are sent over by contractors are ignored leaving elderly vulnerable tennents ignored and left in limbo. Reports maid are often contested and the experience of reporting issues, lead no where. Since Sovereign took over from Network, its been a tennents nightmare. I have lived in their property for 25 years now and never have I experienced this appalling behaviour. The are taking our money, and not doing a service.

Sng are by far the most corupt HA verging on a criminal association.The fob panels to our building stopped working, no entrance atall. sng did not inform us they did not repair the fault for 2wks. Tenants were left out in the cold and the rain having to inform other residents so they could get back in. They blamed the tenants who complained, shocking criminal practices. They should be in court and punished for mistreating vunerable tenants.
Fraud deposit no protected don’t rent with them
I moved in November 2025, and still my desposit hasnt been protected, I only knew when the deposit protection company contacted me to let me know they will cancel my tenancy due not receiving the deposit although they tried to reach them.
I have informed and make a complaint and since they no update , right no I don’t know where that money is or if someone in the company has just decided to keep it for themselves . Althought the contract stays that the deposit is Protected. They have not only committed a criminal offense by not protecting the deposit before 30 days after the moving but also they don’t care in finding a solution or take responsibility at all , the just don’t care about the tenants and seems this is only a business to keeps tenants money in their pockets . I won’t even mention that the flat has several repairs left to do that 2 months later has not even being checked , they don’t reply emails , or care at all .

When I needed new windows they arranged it . When ever I have a repair it’s sorted within days . My home was taken over by sovereign about 10 years ago and if anything they are the best Housing Association I’ve had in all the years I’ve been here

I chased this up today to see if a date has been fixed.
Was told by SNG that Gilmartins had been to inspect it today, how strange, no one knocked on my door, I was in all day. Was also told the job needs a tower, this was built two weeks ago. Also told a two inch pipe needs replacing, the pipe is several feet long!

I first reported a broken waste pipe at the end of August 25 which was damaged by SNG's contractors as they erected scaffolding at the back of our property, a semi-detached house with three flats.
This pipe should carry waste water from the top floor flats' kitchen sink into the drains, but for what is now 7 months, instead, it has been gushing out onto my garden, bedroom window and window sill. It contains particles of food, including raw chicken and grease, plus everything else that goes down the average kitchen sink hole. It goes into the drains for a reason.
SNG contractors Gilmartin's, which should be stripped of its contract has since been six times, every time I wait in for them to come, they tell me they cannot repair it because they don't have the proper equipment, or they have sent the wrong type of tradesman. Every one of them has taken photos, said they will report back, yet the water continues to pour down every time the tenant upstairs uses their kitchen sink, which is numerous times every day.
The pipe has now dropped off completely and lies in two pieces in my garden. This, my bedroom window and window sill are all caked in filth and grease, a large puddle of filthy contaminated water has formed and my lawn is ruined. The area is absolutely disgusting and stinks. I have slipped on the greasy path, seen pests feeding from the food and the sound of water pouring down constantly wakes me morning and night.
They do not meet their obligations and ignore most of the questions I ask, they constantly make promises they do not keep.
I have had other problems with their contractors in recent years, every one has caused damage as they're working, I am beginning to wonder if they just generate more work for themselves. This is affecting my mental health and the amount of compensation I have been offered feels like a slap in the face. They have no idea how distressing this has been, and still it continues. Shame on them!

We had a gas leak from an old boiler. So cadent disconnected the main gas supply.
They gave us 2 small electric fan heaters and a single electric hob to cook on.
My husband and I are both pensioners and have had no hot water heating or a cooker to cook a meal on for the past week.
Despite daily phone Calls to them we have yet to get an answer of when a new boiler will be installed.

Would give them zero stars if I could, they are probably one of the worst housing associations in london. They don’t carry out repairs in properties, when you do send out contractors to carry out repairs they often leave promising to book a further appointment as they don’t have the tools or resources to carry out the works. Only to be told they have not done so and you go around in circles trying to arrange appointments and micromanage the contracts company and SNG to ensure they have the tools/resources. I would never ever recommend anyone to rent from them. People don’t even want to work for them, they have such a high staff turnover rate, nobody stays longer than a month. Even when complaints go through the LA or the Ombudsman’s service they don’t care.
TERRIBLE level of service
Terrible level of service. Lifts not functioning on move in day, shabby, old, and dirty accomodations, rats and ants infestations in communal areas which are not taken care of, rude and unresponsive staff unwilling to help or support in any way. Please AVOID at all costs

Me and my family were dealing with Moiz and I couldn’t have more good things to say about him. He was helpful and lovely. Went above and behyond for us and also replied to us ASAP. Would really recommend SNG as a whole very professional and smooth.
Sng repairs..a disgrace
This companys repairs system is an unorganised disgrace! I reported my wet room shower broken 12 days ago; im disabled & they know its my ownly way i can wash plus wash my hair. Its been chaos ever since. I keep phoning them...had 3 different plumbers visit..still no shower. Customer services admitted they just forgot about me for 2 days, did nothing & the dept that gives the go ahead for new shower just hasnt responded, despite urgent requests from plumbers & a dept of sng itself. & This isnt the first time they have left me in this situation either! So next step..local paper & this wont be the first time a badly teated sng tennant has gone to papers deperate to get a repair completed !!

Shared Ownership with SNG
I purchased a shared ownership property in March 2025 and the experience since then has been extremely disappointing. The sales team and the team that deal with you up until you purchase the property are amazing. However the aftercare team are a whole different story when dealing with snags as part of my 2 year warranty. From the start, I reported a comprehensive snag list and followed up with photos of urgent issues, including a leak and broken window locks. Despite repeated emails and promises of action, many defects remain unresolved eight months later.
Communication has been inconsistent and often non-existent. I’ve had to chase for basic updates repeatedly, and even when repairs were raised, they were not issued to contractors promptly. At one point, the contractors expressed concern that they were only hearing about a leak weeks after I reported it, highlighting serious internal failures.
The mastic around the bath has been replaced multiple times and still fails, and I’m still waiting for a permanent solution. To make matters worse, the finance department has been equally unresponsive, I’ve struggled to pay my rent and service charge because I’m still waiting for confirmation of increases promised back in June.
I am now writing a formal complaint in line with SNG’s published complaints policy. I expect a single named point of contact, a written schedule for all outstanding items, and clear communication going forward. Shared ownership should not mean shared frustration.
