Extremely disappointing communication and stressful birthday party experience
We booked Slime Hub well in advance for our daughter’s 8th birthday party on a Saturday evening in early December. The online booking process was confusing because there were separate options for a birthday party and a 15-kids session. Since we had 15 children attending, we selected that option, made the payment, and received an email confirmation, so naturally we believed everything was confirmed correctly.
Later, we wanted to add one more child and tried contacting Slime Hub using the phone number and email provided on their website. Unfortunately, there was absolutely no response to multiple attempts. We even drove to the venue over the weekend hoping to speak to someone in person, but there was a party going on and nobody was available to help or address our concerns. At that point, the lack of communication became extremely frustrating and stressful.
What made the experience far worse was that just two days before the party, we were suddenly informed that the booking we had made was apparently for individual sessions and not for a birthday party package. We were then told we either had to change the party timing or accept a reduced party duration.
Planning a child’s birthday party already comes with enough planning, and this last-minute confusion caused unnecessary emotional stress and disappointment for our family and guests. As parents, you expect clear communication and support when booking a special event for your child, especially when the booking was made months in advance.
Sadly, our experience with Slime Hub Wokingham and their customer service was very disappointing.
