Disappointing Experience and Subsequently Banned for Providing Feedback
We travelled with Ski Famille for a second time in February 2026 after enjoying a fantastic holiday with them in Les Gets the previous year.
Unfortunately our experience this time was disappointing. Whilst the chalet staff were pleasant and the food was generally good, the overall service fell well below what we expected for a holiday costing almost £6,000. Issues included chalet cleanliness, a poorly maintained hot tub, childcare provision that was inconsistent and poorly communicated, a 7.5-hour transfer where refreshments were not proactively offered, and concerns regarding chalet security.
The biggest issue was pricing. We paid £5,742 as returning customers after negotiating a £125 loyalty discount. During the season the exact same chalet was advertised for less than £3,000, and the other families staying with us the same week had paid approximately £2,000-£3,000 for exactly the same holiday. Paying almost three times as much inevitably affected how we viewed the overall value for money.
I raised these concerns directly with the Managing Director, who offered a confidential goodwill package including lift passes, ski hire for our daughter and a future £250 travel voucher. Following the holiday I provided detailed, constructive feedback which I genuinely hoped would help improve the customer experience.
I have recently been informed by Guest Relations that Ski Famille would not accept any future bookings from my family and had removed us from marketing communications due to "repeated complaints" and unspecified concerns regarding our conduct.
After recommending Ski Famille to friends and family for over a year, this was a very disappointing outcome.
