Tim, our tour guide for our trip, was on the whole very good at his job. He was good at directing the passengers of where to go and always made sure he looked after us by giving out his contact number if any of the passengers wanted to do their own thing rather than go on any of the tours and that they needed to get hold of him to let him know and he gave good, clear local information of any of the areas we visited. However, it is unfortunate there was a minor incident that happened on the first night of the trip. When we arrived at the hotel in Paris, as the bus parked up, I got off the bus and saw my case was there ready to collect. I went to grab it......which is the logical and normal thing to do.......but I then saw our tour guide taking everyone else's cases into the hotel reception. I then asked our tour guide if he needed my case to take into the hotel as well (it dawned on me there must have been a process we needed to follow). He then answered me in a loud and a moderately raised and angry voice and said, "I said that I was taking all the cases into the hotel reception area but you went and grabbed yours", which he said right in front of everybody. His reaction shocked me and quite frankly, I felt intimidated by his response and attitude. I responded to him by saying, "I didn't hear you" but there was no response from him. The next day I approached him and said to him that I didn't hear him say about taking the cases into the hotel reception and told him my hearing is not good and I then showed him that I was wearing hearing aids. He then explained to me the reasons of taking the cases into the reception area because he said it was easier than having people just grab their cases and getting in the way and that he said to me there was no problem as he walked off. My issue is that I understand fully well the reasons for him taking the cases into reception hotel........ that wasn't my point and I didn't need it explaining to me. My point is, is that he didn't have the common courtesy of apologising to me for the way he raised his voice at me on arrival nor did he acknowledge it, right in front of everybody, on the first night of the holiday. Because of his attitude and the incident, I felt I was unable to approach him with any further issues for the remainder of the holiday and as a lone passenger, I felt vulnerable to the point that I didn't feel I could speak to him and it slightly put a dampner on my trip.

Also, the hotel was shocking. The heating didn't work in my bedroom, the wardrobe shelves were dirty and reception staff didn't provide more milk cartons in the bedroom to make tea and coffee when I asked on request.

We like Shearings because it's very easy to book by phone. The buses are on time and all seems to go well on the trip

The coach driver Marco was very helpful and the staff at the Russell Hotel also. Everything was reasonably clean but a bit tired and shabby. However we enjoyed the holiday overall except the pick ups before joining the main coach were a long haul for us being 1st on and last off.

It was easy to book our coach trip, and when we spoke to an advisor she was extremely helpful and accommodating. The holiday we booked was just what we were looking for.

Really good booking experience with Shearings. Booked a coach holiday to Croatia. Very good response to all our queries.

Trip ok, Cabin NO COFFEE, brochure states there was. Could not see in brochure that you need TRAVEL ADAPTER, I didn't have one so a Sherring rep gave me she's. 2 days later coffee appeared in cabin.

We haven’t actually had our holiday yet, but we are hopeful it will be a success. The helpful staff when booking are a step in the right direction, so fingers crossed it will be great!

Shearings always go the extra mile for wife and myself, which makes life a lot easier when arriving at the hotel.

I've had several holidays with Shearings.
I am partially disabled and the coach drivers are very helpful by taking out the walking assistance out of the storage.
Always 1st thing before he allows passengers out of the coach.

We booked and paid for our trip to Jersey in June .
I telephoned you as I need to know what time I need to meet the feeder bus as I am told I can’t use the Home Connect Service . I therefore need to book a taxi asap .
I waited for a response to my call but was advised you are busy so leave my number for a call back . This hasn’t happened . I sent an email with the same query , no response .

I had to call to book a holiday as the online system was causing me problems. The lady who took my call (I think she was called Isabella) was extremely helpful, with a very chatty style, and resolved my issue quickly. We even managed to get a discount on the holiday as a goodwill gesture.
I will use the company again.

Tour guide gavin was very informative & knowledgeable about the ares we visited
And made the trips very interesting & enjoyable.
Hotel was very nice, food was lovely and staff were very nice.

Very good. It remains to be seen if the holiday lives up to hoped for expectations. If there is one criticism, it’s that the agent did not mention Shearings insurance option. I had to research and find health insurance and it was expensive.

Perhaps this was the wrong time of year for this Holiday, Attractions not yet open, Cold,Wet weather, with Sleet, Snow & high winds. Hotel & Food acceptable, but no Entertainment in the Evenings.
