We ordered 4 x leather chairs and have waited many weeks for delivery. Today was the big day!
The delivery element was great. The drivers efficient and good communication on the run up… BUT.
Two of the chairs are correct. The other two should be matching brown leather…, however one was damaged and the other was green!!! They were returned with the driver.
We called customer services to complain and after battling through the GDPR nonsense, dealt with by a lady who informed us that we couldn’t expect a refund for the two chairs that are wrong/damaged until a full internal investigation has taken place, which will likely take another 10 days.
Whatever the investigation shows up, this is an SCS mess up and we should be refunded straight away. We paid in full ahead of delivery in good faith- It’s certainly in no way our fault.

UPDATE: one week on and we haven’t heard a thing from SCS. Very poor indeed. We’re waiting for a refund. If we don’t receive it this week we’ll be referring this to our credit card company to sort out.

UPDATE 2: I phoned the Worthing branch, as it’s impossible to get in touch with customer services… I tried every option on the irritating automated switchboard.
The staff at Worthing were unable to update me, or put me through to customer services - or even give me their contact details. The just said I was ‘in the system and being processed’. It’s really poor - and not good enough. They owe us a £1,700.00 refund.

We haven’t heard from your Business Support Team regarding the refund.
The refund is for a lot of money, so it would be good to know when they will be in touch and when we will receive our refund. Also, contact details for the team would be useful, as if we don’t hear anything, we want to be able to chase this up.

We have referred this matter to our credit card company, so they will no doubt be in touch.

The wrong/damaged chairs were delivered three weeks ago. It’s really very poor that we have struggled and had to wait so long to get this matter sorted out. We ordered and paid up front in good faith and feel we’ve been let down badly by SCS - and with not even a proper apology.

….and so, the wait continues!

The delivery slot was on time. The crew were very pleasant and efficient.

The shopping experience was amazing, they couldn’t be more helpful but the wait was way longer than expected and the delivery was interesting

It isn't often that I participate in reviews, but on this occasion, I simply had to.
From the moment we walked into ScS in Worthing, we were made to feel very special.
There was no sales pressure, no 'tactics' & no gimmicks.
Just plain old fashioned customer service.
Simple & honest customer service that was as much of a highlight as the trying of sofas.

But to the delivery.
The two guys Martin & John, were fabulous in everything they did.
Even to the point of putting cardboard down on the floor, so as to not get either the sofa or our floors wet & dirty.
The communication from them was excellent & they kept us updated constantly.
They took their time with the installation & explained how everything worked.
Once my wife & son were happy, they then left & took all excess rubbish away with them.

From start to finish I cannot praise ScS highly enough & I would never hesitate in recommending them.

Really pleased with my sofa and snuggle chair.
Delivery guys were excellent, kept me informed of progress, arrival time and were very respectful of my property. I was very impressed with Pav and Arek, efficient and helpful.
Such a shame that delivery was more than three weeks later than originally planned as this rather spoilt the experience.

Very good Service at the Store, and delivery was really good with no problems, the delivery men were very good and careful taking great care, assembled the Sofa for me,I am very pleased with the quality of the Sofa it's very well made and hopefully it will last a good few years.

We were advised to put our home address for delivery rather than the address we wanted our sofa delivered to, this was due to using finance. Within an hour of the order being made we updated our delivery address. However our sofa ended up in Essex and no one from SCS let us know, after 3 months of waiting I called SCS who advised the sofa was in Essex and no one had contacted me because the delivery address was in Sussex and so the Essex team couldn’t deliver the sofa. We were then advised they’d arrange for the sofa to be sent to Sussex. 2 weeks went by and still no one contacted me. I then had to call SCS AGAIN only to be told my sofa was in Milton Keynes. I then had to wait an additional 3 weeks for my sofa to get to the Sussex warehouse and for a delivery to be arranged. In total it took 5 months to receive my sofa - I ordered on 29th March and received it 08 August.
A very poor disorganised service and unsympathetic customer service team.

**UPDATE** it’s October and I’m still waiting on the phone call. What an appalling service from SCS.

Ordered a sofa from worthing branch sussex back in May still waiting delivery... phoned Worthing branch today unable to offer time scale on furniture other then sometime in September?
Paid in cash full price.Good you paid cash you should get your sofa quicker? Said sales person back in May!
Manager at worthing store today was un helpful ... but they were quick to take my money. A lot of money,I am hoping I haven't been ripped off.
We have nothing to sit on now as we got rid of our old furniture,in preparation for new delivery?

Perfect delivery with no problems - delivery crew were efficient and polite. Was advised by email and text what time they would be arriving, then the crew phoned to say they would be within the hour. So much better than I expected.

Great delivery team, very friendly, helpful and respectful. We got notified of the specific delivery time within a half hour window, and the team unpacked and put together the sofa very quickly, asking where we wanted it and clearing away all the packaging.

Very efficient service,they informed me what the delivery slot was and kept me updated on what time they would arrive. When they arrived the driver and assistant were very polite and helpful.they also took all the rubbish away and checked the condition of the sofa before they left. We would highly recommend scs from start to finish. Can also recommend the quality of the sofa, thanks for a great relaxed service.

I was contacted the night before about my delivery and on the day I received a phone call. The delivery guys were polite and efficient and delivered my sofas with care. Very happy with the service 😀

Great service from ordering to delivery. Excellent communication re delivery day and time . Pav and Arek delivered quickly and efficiently up 2 flights of stairs. Would definitely recommend.

Should of paid more attention to the reviews left for this company, customer service is awful, estimated delivery date now exceeds the overall lead time from the order. Customer service honestly couldn't care less about you at all, no information, no help, can't cancel order either.

Like trying to get blood from a stone, they are more than happy to take your money though and try flog you every extra under the sun, avoid at all costs.... Go to elsewhere and save the disappointment.

Warren and John were polite, on time courteous and well informed re the sofas.

We only popped in to SCS Worthing as we had to go to Pets at Home opposite, we were greeted by Andrew who made us feel very welcome. He gave us a free tape measure and invited us to look around and take our time. There was no pressure at all put on us to make a purchase. Even though we weren’t looking to make a purchase, we found a very comfortable leather sofa. Andrew then answered our questions. When we decided to go ahead Andrew still took the time to make sure we were ready and showed us the full colour range.
I can highly recommend SCS. They have some beautiful sofas and Andrew provided a great service.

After finally getting my sofa around a month late ( I will say that the sofa is amazing!) in January, I was promised a £200 compensation for the delay as it was meant to be delivered before Christmas. I’m still waiting for the compensation! The wait times for the customer services is embarrassing and I’ve gave up trying. Just wondering if anyone is looking at this who can help?
