Scarsdale Vets Omdömen 

Appointment today at 4pm. Arrived on time it was very quiet, there was a couple in who were about to leave. About 10 mins later a couple came in with a rabbit in a basket, they found it anc it was not injured. The vet checked it for a chip and confirmed there wasn’t one the vet was fussing the rabbit along with the receptionist and the couple left. I asked the time and how much longer I had to wait and she said the vet was on a long phone call. At 4.25 she called me in. My kittens were stressed due to the amount of time we had waited. The vet said she had to attend to the rabbit ..., why? It wasn’t injured! There was no reason why I had to wait so long.
I have cancelled the pet plan because I won’t be going to Scarsdale vets again as this isn’t the first time I have had to wait excessively long time. They just do not consider their clients or the pets by keeping them waiting way past their appointment time. Also no one advises of the wait when you go in.

Today we took our Beautiful Chocolate Labrador to have her hips and elbows scanned before we breed with her.
We had a small problem as the details took when we booked her in were not quite correct. We received a phone call from a practice manager very quickly who went through how it happened and put into place for it not to happen again, as I said this was only a booking in error.

I could not be more impressed to me a great company is one that fixes things quickly and they sure did that.

Also regarding Covid 19 they take this very seriously and have measures in place to ensure everyone is safe.

I would HIGHLY recommend this practice to anyone who cares about their pets, the service is outstanding this is the Supervet of the North.

I trusted Pride Park Vet to Euthanise my 12 year old cat who had Cancer. Vet was cold, uncaring and had no personal skills. He took her away for 15 minutes to force a cannula in her and then whilst being Euthanised snapped at me to adjust my face mask as my tears had caused mask to not cover all my nose. He was agitated that I was burying her at home and told me about Foxes digging up cats bodies. I will never forgive myself as my Cat deserved a dignified death, not in the hands of this heartless person. I have made a complaint to hopefully ensure no poor animal and their owners do not have to go through this experience.

No doubt that their staff care about animals, but their prices show they dont care about the pet's owners!!!

We took our boxer dog here as he had a cough and was making a weird hacking noise from his throat. The vet tried to upsell up skin treatments before she would examine him. She then went on to say how much things will be all they care about is getting money. They treated him for things he did not have. 5 weeks later still no better I took my dog to a vet someone had recommended. He found a huge tumour the whole way down his neck. This vet said it was inoperable due to the size. SCARSDALE “BEST” vet had missed this. My dog was put to sleep. Completely devastating. If the vets at Scarsdale stopped up selling stopped trying to scan body parts that didn’t need looking at stop trying to injection random injections for skin treatments my dog could still be here. I can’t stress how much you need to avoid this corporate cold money making company.

All they care about is £££££.

They gave us incorrect advice about our pet. They insisted she needed to be put down. Yet she recovered.

Our cat was injured and the vet would not use a wipe to clean the blood until she had ensured we would pay for other treatment.

Stay away. Get a vet that cares.

Scarsdale vets are terrible. Had issues with them with my first dog. My second dog was taken to them extremely ill after she unexpectedly collapsed and much to our heartbreaks had to be put to sleep. She was 12 and devastated was an understatement. To make it even worse we asked for a single cremation so we could have our girls ashes back home with us however they ticked the wrong box and sent her for a mass cremation meaning there were no ashes. The vets then tried to lie and blame another family member for the mix up despite their bring a very clear recorded phone call of us stating we wanted a single cremation. Worse still they had us in on the Thursday night choosing a casket for her ashes even though they had sent her for the mass cremation at 4am that morning. All Scarsdale could do was advise me they wouldn't expect me to pay the bill for their service. No sincere apology from the person who made the mistake or for lying. Absolute incompetence. If this error was made with a human cremation there would be outrage. Sadly they just see it as a dog so to them it doesn't matter. I would strongly recommend against using Scarsdale vets.

I cannot fault the care my cat Sampson has received here. The staff are lovely, very friendly, the practice is clean, modern and big. The vets are very good at handling your pets. Appointments are usually very easy to obtain and they are open on weekends and offer emergency appointments in the evenings. They also have a grooming salon for your pets, I would love to take Sampson there but the hairdryers would terrify him!
It's slightly on the pricey side but I only say that as someone who is on a limited income but luckily Sampson has never had any serious health issues. The only problem I have is - and I don't think this is down to the practice itself - it is nearly impossible to find a parking space. You can't park on the street outside as there are double yellow lines and I think the staff from the neighboring businesses must be using the car park because it is almost always rammed and when you go in, it's hardly busy.
Other than that, I completely trust them with my beautiful cat and will remain with them hopefully for many years.
