Avoid avoid avoid - Sanctuary housing are a disgrace! problem after problem in the few years we have lived with them.

Missed appointments, lies, homes in disrepair, rude staff even the surveyors, so much stress caused!

Ridiculous. Countless emails in regards to neighbours fence. Then other neighbour has rubbish and overgrown area never maintained causing rats to enter shared loft. Several emails chasing no response. When they do they say it’s on the list. Fence has fallen down in two sections authorised repairs in one part but not the second part. Looks like we will have to pay .. no words. Kirtling Suffolk put jan but been more than a year!! Sanctuary update- several emails later no reply no action now our tenant is leaving and can’t rent property until fence is fixed. I’ve sent soo many emails ongoing two years +

The engineer Ricky is an excellent ambassador for this company who are quite unpleasant people especially the “jobsworths” ! However despite a schedule that would kill me Ricky just get on with things and calmed me down as I suffer from among other things high anxiety and acrophobia and a fear of people so I always ask for him! Now I would call a blocked toilet and a broken flush quite an important call out yet it took five days. I’m crippled with arthritis and was having to get bowls full of water and throw it down the toilet as you can imagine in the hot weather last week it was an absolute nightmare anyway Ricky came to the rescue. He deserves a medal. I deserve along with the other tenants some respect, kindness, and understanding from the top down.

The engineer came out to solve my issue with the hot water heating which came on sporadically throughout the day and was costing a fortune in electricity bills. He was knowledgeable and explained in detail how it works. I was extremely happy with the service.

Terrible housing company - we have lost water supply to the entire building two years in a row during a heat wave. You can never get through to them on the emergency line. Their heating rates for tenants are through the roof. Despite their awful service they have the audacity to knock on residents doors and complain about their shoe mats.

Area nice then you get tothese flats waiting months for repairs no communication with managers at all you cant get threw police here most nights at the top block regarding asbos there also vermin rats running around the carpark due to bins not been emptied for varies weeks nothing is getting done numerous long time residents have moved out because they couldn't take anymore

If you can avoid living in this company’s properties they repairs are an absolute outrage service charges for non existent services staff are rude on the gas team complaining is pointless

They charge a fortune and take months to reply to the simplest of correspondence. Difficult to understand why anyone would use them

I have asked sanctuary housing to move me for years I live in London and have asked to move to a quieter area they have not moved me and I’m struggling to pay my rent London is too expensive they knew I was getting in arrears but instead of moving me and helping me they have took me to court for a seeking of possession order they want to evict me WORSE Housing association EVER Totally incompetent

Well if I could give a 0 i would, ive been fighting the same fight for the last 8 years with bathroom issues they rapidly progressed in 2024 when I put a official complaint in. I've had numerous of appointments from people who can't do their job. To surveyors that are damn right rude and disrespectful about your home. I thought I was making progress until today, I've booked time off work yet again they are a no show. I've been chasing them all morning knowing full well the job now won't be done and were back to square one of me doing yet another complaint. But this time I will be going through the housing ombudsman. I can't even write down in words the grief they have caused me as it will be a novel. Worst association ever.

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with for repairs, totally incompetent, no communication.
Mould reported in January still not attended to despite also raising a complaint. Along with other repairs reported in November still not addressed.
They reported I had not submitted these repair requests until I provided submission receipts!
20 year tenant, rent paid in full every month.

Sanctuary are the worst landlords I’ve been with.. they spend more money than they need too the workmen they send are a jack of all trades most not all of them have no respect for the customer or property my property is in disrepair and I feel they need to rectify these issues I have pics to add if needed

So desperately need a new window have sent two people out at two different appointments to look at a blown window they both said the same thing it needs a new window!!!
1997 I moved in to my property and have had no upgrades atall or anything to improve the inside
They’re sending men out on numerous appointments to look at the same thing, but I still haven’t got any answers neither they’re saying. I have to probably wait another six weeks to get an answer. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

Very unprofessional. Can't even fix a window or toilet effectively. 3rd appointment and still nothing has been done. Absolutely ridiculous. Circus company.

These people are terrible. There are not helpful at all. I was paying my rent arrears on arrangement I agreed with them. I kept paying even above the arranged amount. But they still went ahead and applied for a CCJ that affects how I work. Now how can I keep up the payments if they have restricted my work. They are not worth hold public trust ventures.

sanctuary housing have been really helpful and have always carried out the repairs in a timely fashion my boiler needed a new pump and they responded really quickly and sorted out the problem without any hassle this housing association have been outstanding throughout the years I've been with them 16 years thank you for reading xx

Every time I raise a repair Sanctuary North fails it's obligations. It is supposed to contact you within ten working days to discuss the work to be carried out and to arrange a suitable appointment. I have to keep chasing repairs. On some occasions they claim to have not received information about a repair, despite me having a copy of the web form when I raised it. Finally, the company that carry out the gas checks (Sure Maintenance) are just as hopeless. They fail to notify tenants by letter when an LGSR is due and send a text the day before a service. For two years I have complained about it being short notice and that tenants should be informed earlier to make arrangements for a gas visit. Everything falls on deaf ears and nowt gets done. Rent and service charges have gone up though! Shambles of an organisation, it needs investigating by the Housing Ombudsman Service.

I have had a leak of rain water through my bedroom ceiling for 12 years. I have raised numerous stage 1 and stage 2 complaints. I have taken so many days off work for them to come and fix it but it never works. I can't sell the property so am trapped in this situation. The property is covered in mould and I have a persistent cough. I am so desperate and there is nothing I can do to resolve it.
