False Promises
Ordered fairly standard products on the 5th of May with next day delivery and showing in stock, phoned on the 8th to query where they were to be told the stock was expected that day and would be dispatched that day or the Monday. Called the Tuesday as no sign of a parcel, only to be told the expected re-stock date was the 19th, phoned the 20th, only to be told it's the 27th. Zero updates, zero accountability.
Updated my review and rating, as I did receive the items after posting a review, but the overall experience was poor.

Where is my product?
We have placed an order on 01/05/26 but unfortunately we have still yet to receive the product. We have not received any information other than the initial order reference, no tracking information has been sent, and email queries are unanswered.
I had to give it one star just to write a review.

Unfortunately, the item you ordered was out of stock at the time, with an expected dispatch date of around 22nd May, though I do apologise if this information wasn't freely available at the time of order. The supplier has now provided us a new expected dispatch date of around 28th May.

Prompt delivery & no hassle over warranty claims
A good selection of detectors, delivered promptly as per order. Order was to replace my old life-expired detectors. A few of these had failed before the warranty expired and Safelincs sent replacements at no charge by return of post without quibbling.

Faulty Carbon monoxide detector
Ordered a carbon monoxide detector, as a replacement for an old unit. The item arrived as expected, but was slow to be sent. The batteries included were loose, Duracell. (Not Kodak in sealed plastic). When inserted, the fault light came on and the unit alarmed repeatedly, I checked the batteries they show full charge. I contacted the company, with these details no reply until the end of day 48 hours later. I had initially asked for a refund or replacement. The response asked what I wanted, so I replied refund. I received a response today, Monday, asking for batch numbers and photographs. Surely this could have been requested in the initial message? I have now contacted eBay to request a refund. Looking at other reviews I found similar problems with other customers. Given the poor attitude and slow response I have bought a similar item, same brand, from a local shop, with batteries sealed in plastic, it worked immediately.

I can confirm that we receive our stock directly from the manufacturer as new and unused items. Our stock all comes with Duracell batteries, though not in plastic packaging as we have an agreement with them to try and reduce our carbon footprint, and have as little plastic as possible, doing our part for the environment.
You initially contacted stating that your alarm was faulty, and I do appreciate that all new items should work correctly, there are occasions when there may be one or two that sneak through the initial testing phase by the manufacturer, though they offer a very good warranty for this reason.
My colleague had performed some basic trouble shooting questions to try and determine the fault, and requested the alarm details to initiate the refund as requested.
I can see that you have since provided the required details, and your order is being refunded in full.

Terrible experience with Safelincs
Terrible experience with Safelincs. Cancelled my order because after 15 days it had not been dispatched. Emails went unanswered, and have still not been answered to this day. Had to go onto their online chat to twist their arm into giving me a refund. I don’t know how they received such a good rating on trustpilot, but right now in April 2026 this company is completely dysfunctional and unprofessional.

Your latest emails on Thursday were unfortunately not answered straight away due to a high number of emails we are receiving, though we do endeavour to answer emails within 48 hours where possible.
