Mountain bike Stem replacement
After identifying a problem with our Stem on our Mountain bike, we visited Gab a workshop engineer who went above and beyond to help us source a replacement part and fit it, all at very short notice. In addition he also replaced bearings that were worn in our headset. He is friendly and professional, a credit to the cycle industry, Gab is a positive person with a can do attitude. He took full ownership of our problem which gave us confidence that the defect would be remedied, this would allow us to use the bike on our upcoming event.

2019 Turbo Levo repair.
Just had my cassette and chain replaced by Gab in the workshop. He is very friendly with excellent customer service skills. My wife and I have bought Turbo Levos from this store and any time there has been a repair or maintenance to be done it has been completed very professionally and promptly with absolutely no quibble. Would definitely recommend buying from this shop, especially if contemplating an expensive ebike.

We travelled 35 miles to Normanton to hire an eBike and cycle around Rutland Water but on arrival we noticed we'd picked up a puncture in our car and one of our front tyres was flat.
What should have been a simple case of putting on the spare became a nightmare because one of the nuts holding the wheel on had clearly swollen and wasn't taking the socket wrench to get it off!! None of the local tyre fitting companies could help so we were in a bit of a pickle!
Fortunately one of the team at Rutland Cycling saw us struggling and grabbed a hammer and forced the socket wrench on so we could get the wheel off and replaced. We didn't get his name but we can't thank him enough for saving our day,
Having sorted the car we then hired an eBike and set off around the reservoir - the bike and service we received was excellent.
Not quite the day we had planned but it could have ended a whole lot worse. Thank you.

Problem with order solved without any fuss…

Absolutely amazing customer service…
Absolutely amazing customer service from both Rebecca and Clair. Between them they sorted out a problem I had with no stress and I have spent most of the bank holiday weekend back out on my lovely new bike, which I am absolutely over the moon with!
I have recommended Rutland Cycling to other friends that are thinking about getting new bikes on the basis of the fantastic support that I received.

Good price and prompt delivery time. Unfortunately DPD who they use for deliveries are useless. They delivered my order to the incorrect address, but an extremely helpful member of the Rutland customer care team Anna got it all sorted for me.

I was on the web site looking to hire a tricycle. When I couldn't find any information about what I wanted, I asked customer services a simple question. " Do you hire out tricycles"? Anna's reply.... Was a link to their hire page....

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear you didn't get the answer to your question! Each Store has a slightly different hire fleet so it is always worth confirming with the specific store what they have available.
On the Stores hire page you can click through each store and see what hire options they have.
~For example the Whitwell Store hire out standard hybrid & mountain bikes, Electric bikes, Kids bikes, tandems and electric tandems. There are also tag along bikes, buggies/trailers and child seats.
If you give the Store you would like to hire from a call they will be able confirm this for you.
If we can be of any further assistance in the future, please do let us know and we would be happy to assist.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you feel our Customer Care has been poor. I can see that we sent you the bikes manual in English straight away for you.
Regarding your warranty claim with the supplier, we estimated this to take 8-12 weeks and the finance company even offered to reschedule your payments for that time. This is something that not many customers can take advantage of.
The bike was however fixed and ready to go back to you in just over 2 weeks.
Therefore I believe that your review is unfair as we got this fixed very quickly for you and kept you updated along the way.

I’ve now bought two bike from the…
I’ve now bought two bike from the Milton Keynes branch along with service plans. I fully trust the team for advice and to carry out repairs on both bikes. Both bikes were in for a service last week. The whole process was simple and friendly with a phone call from Gab explaining the two minor issues that needed attention. I have extended my service plans as I’m fully trusting of the team in MK.

My wife's bike is getting old and we got great advice on whether or not have it serviced or replaced. There was no pressure to buy anything. The staff were focused on what would be her best options.

4 Months no bike, unable to back order
Ordered a bike back in April 2022 for delivery in August and after delivery date passing I chased up to eventually find out there was a mistake their end with the order. Further to it they could not source the bike I had paid for (not cheap). they said they would ring me back with replacement options, but I guess they could not be bothered. I have now arranged refund but very poor service, no communication. Don't bother pre-ordering a bike from them especially when you have sport events lined up.

My Brompton Electric is like a new bike now!
Took my wife’s Brompton Electric to Cambridge Barnwell Road Rutland’s branch for a service and software upgrade in mid-June 2022. I cannot praise Colin enough. He made sure warranty issues including a new motor were dealt with and extended the warranty period due to the Pandemic. The bike rides like new now!

No refund for out of stock item
Ordered an item. Telesales got in touch saying it was not in stock and I would be refunded in 7-10 days. 8 weeks later I'm about to request a chargeback via the credit card. Really poor service.
