Disappointing
I used to buy from royal mint more often, but last experience put me off. Orders taken ages to arrive and split in 2 deliveries. 1 not even send out yet. ( Over 2 weeks later)Wrong items send and even prompt return make the other item not replaced 2 weeks later. Very disappointed

I bought The Great British Treasure Hunt coin. The purchase was simple and the coin was delivered quickly.
I loved the puzzle element to the coin and thought the packaging was great. Overall a wonderful experience and a lot of fun!
The service is always prompt
The service is always prompt, and or if there is any need to phone them, they are always helpful.
Service of this standard does not deserve the title "ROYAL"
3.6 stars on Trustpilot (when writing), should have read before placing an order with The Royal Mint.
2 months of communicating directly (email and phone) with the Royal Mint, waiting for my coin to be delivered, assured by them that order was still in place, only to be told last week that my payment had been declined on 29th January when I first placed the order. I sent them proof that the money had been taken from my account on that day and never returned to me.
So, upshot is that they did receive the money and they have been sitting on several thousand earning them and not me the interest.
Now I'm told they will refund, but it might take 5 to 10 days - RIP OFF
Don't think I'll be using or recommending their services any time soon.

No apology, no offer of loss of interest, Still not resolved as I have not actually received my money back. Just like all the other replies to the negative feedback that they receive. Tick box so as people see that they have replied to all the dissatisfied customers.

I just wanted to thank The Royal Mint's Sean, who kindly responded so swiftly on the 16th March 2026, a mere whole month after my email of....16th February following up my January query.
He was kind enough to ask, "What items were you trying to purchase, and are you still experiencing this issue?" - referring to my email in which I'd helpfully pasted a copy of what I was trying to purchase.
It's glorious to experience The Royal Mint Customer "service" in full Reverse-Darwinian evolution mode.
I can't recommend it enough; in fact, I can't recommend it all.
They will soft-soap answer you quickly on this public forum.
But they fail to engage privately either at all, or in a timely fashion, or let alone in full or accurately.
Just do not use The Royal Mint.

Usally coins are ok but the last coin…
Usally coins are ok but the last coin im very disappointed in and serious lack of quality control. The coin has arrived with no writing around the edge of the coin and is sharp to rub finger over. The rest of the coin has small chips around the edge, striking is very poor one side has not been polished and is flat like its been in a pocket for years and a couple of scratchs on the polished side.
The coin arrived less than 24 hours ago and looks like its been around a cement mixer for a few years. I have fount that there are a few with no edging but other wise highly polished. I dont know how someone has missed these and the person who made mine must of skipped a few steps or fell out before finished and just thought it will do. Its hard to do a coin hunt with no words around the coin. I pay overpriced because of the quality to get bunc coins not ones that are worse than my 1531 groat. Very dissapointed in quality, seems rushed and lack of care by those who have made it. Anyone looking at it would see 1 of at least 3 faults.

I placed an order on 11/2/26 which I have not received nor do i know when i will receive it
I placed an order on 11/2/26 for which there was an expected dispatch given of 5-10 working days. To date, I have not received my coin. I have emailed and called several times. I was told 3 weeks ago that it was on a pallet ready for dispatch but despite asking several times for a timeframe of dispatch and delivery, CS have failed to give me any fruitful update - i keep being told i will be given an update but nothing has been given. This has been the 3rd time where my royal mint bullion order has not transpired. The whole situation has made me upset and even more anxious.

Recently Become Awful
The Royal Mint’s products are great—coins and information folders—but customer service has recently become a mess. I live in the US and now have to place orders by expensive phone calls. The Mint has twice informed me that my orders are going to be cancelled because of a problem with my credit card after successfully charging my card. Yesterday I got an e-mail that an order had been delivered; it had not, and when I checked the tracking I was told that the tracking code was not recognized. If you e-mail about issues you get an automated reply that it may take up to five days for a reply. Just awful.

SERVICE IS NON EXSISTANT, SPEND THOUSANDS, GET ZERO RESPONSE IF A LACK OF EFFORT RESPONSE, TRIED CALLING THEM TO FIND THEIR LINES ARE ACTUALLY CHOSEN TO BE TURNED OFF DUE TO TOO MANY TIME WASTER CALLERS ACCORDING TO THEIR FEEDBACK OF A HIGH LEVEL OF CALLS, ASKING THEM TO USE AN EMAIL SYSTEM THAT STATES ITS 5 DAYS BEFORE THEY RESPOND, YET THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY, SELL YOU DIFFERENT ITEMS SEND SOME LEAVE OTHERS FOR WEEKS ON PENDING WITH ZERO INFORMATION AS TO WHY, THIS IS BECOMING THE WORST NATIONAL MINT EVER, NO OTHER MINT IN THE WORLD TREATS ME THIS WAY, THEY SEEM TO BE GREAT ON EVENTS AROUND THE WORLD NOT SO HOT IN SUPPORT

I've been a client of the Royal Mint for a number of years- however last month my account was deactivated for a reason undisclosed.
I've emailed and got no response. I then called (finally got through to someone after many attempts)- he said he would send an e-mail to their internal team to re-activate the account. This has been a number of weeks ago. I've since e-mailed again, and e-mailed headofcustomerservices - no response.
It's hugely frustrating as I cannot do anything on the account that I've had for a number of years, and there is 0 response.

Put the card info for payment. Submit and it came back with error . Put a different card info hit the button and the order was place . But after checking my card statement. I been changed on both cards . For the same order . Slightly different amount few pounds difference so guess the price of gold silver must of changed with mins . But still charged me on the 1st try . After speak with customers service told to send a email with proof of the 2 payments which I have . Still waiting 2 weeks now to get my money paid back to me . Be careful if you get an error message on there website when paying for goods . Nightmare getting your money back fast taking it !! Still waiting for my money back !

Faulty coin, poor service to replace
I ordered the coin for the Great British Treasure Hunt, and received a faulty coin with no inscription on the edge. I was asked to send photos of the coin to demonstrate the fault, which I have done, and have now been told I need to return the coin for investigation before they will replace it. The deadline for the Great British Treasure Hunt is in less than two weeks, and so I’ll be unable to complete it if you’re unwilling to send me the correct coin now. It’s pretty poor that I’ve been sent a faulty coin in the first place (where are your quality control measures?), and I shouldn’t have to be jumping through hoops to have the correct coin sent to me in a timely manner.
