The Albert Hall are using a booking…
The Albert Hall are using a booking system with a waiting room plug-in call "virtual waiting room" - to say that this is pathetic for someone visiting from Australia and wanting to experience "the proms" is an understatement. It stole an hour of my life after I logged on at the correct time of 9.30am on 20th of July - a slider told me that I would be "fairly" allocated a session to book my ticket. The slider never showed me where I was in the queue it just slid to the end almost got there then whizzed back to the beginning. After one hour of diligently watching this waiting for my turn - I GAVE UP! absolutely dismissive approach to me the customer - terrible experience.

Fantastic venue, just let down a little by the pricing

Just dealing with Twickets now which is horrendous.
I paid the additional cost to protect a refund and still the rigmarole of evidence is needed and I feel that the more you have to do means the likelyhood that you will give up and withdrawal the application, which is what they want. Each situation needs an individual assessment. My situation involves my friends mother breaking her neck in a horrific accident. Evidence showing this was sent amongst other forms and still its not good enough. I am so upset.

Hugely disappointing. My husband had booked Champagne Afternoon Tea as a birthday present.
The service was hugely disappointing. We had to ask for the champagne as the waiter had forgotten. The food was 'ok' but there was very little of anything substantial. except perhaps dessert, which was by comparison too much.
I had spilled some tea onto the table - I told the waiter who simply removed the teapot but didn't return to clean the table so I had to use my napkin. When I mentioned it he didn't respond and I had to ask for a clean one.
It was a very expensive experience and not one I would repeat or recommend.
I am extremely disappointed with how…
I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled with Twickets and the Royal Albert Hall !
I originally needed to sell my tickets for Rufus Wainwright because I could no longer attend the concert. At one point, I even had two potential buyers, but unfortunately neither of them completed the purchase before the event. What frustrates me most is that the only option I was given to try to recover any money was to list the tickets on Twickets. I was effectively forced to go through Twickets, with no alternative offered.
I would have preferred to sell the tickets myself, for example through Instagram or another platform of my choosing, but this was not permitted because of the Royal Albert Hall’s ticketing rules. As a result, I had no flexibility and no control over how to resell my tickets.
To make matters worse, I was unable to obtain any refund directly from the Royal Albert Hall before being required to use Twickets. In the end, I have lost £190, which is incredibly frustrating and feels very unfair.
Overall, I feel let down by a system that offered no reasonable alternatives and left me out of pocket despite my efforts to sell the tickets.
Went to the Symphony Rock concert last…
Went to the Symphony Rock concert last night that was brilliant. Sadly, the experience for us and quite a few others when chatting at the bar and outside is the extortionate rip off prices for wine. For a pint of beer and a large glass of wine £31.50, 2 large glasses of wine £35.50. We have paid "London prices" before but this is totally unnecessary and greed, in future we wont bother, local establishments will get our custom. Two ladies we found out after were charged £42 for 2 medium glasses of the same wine which may have been an error as it looks ass though they were charged for 2 large. Shame this dampened what was a great event.
Behaviour at performances
Adding to debate on certain peoples’behaviour at theatre/concert performances. My wife and I went to see a classical performance of Carmina Burana at the Royal Albert Hall last 23 November. Popcorn/ coke etc is now sold at such performances. Next to us were some children and their parents who ate and drank ( including swirling the ice noisily ) throughout the performance whilst their daughter texted and talked on her phone throughout it. It was very distracting. On leaving the floor was littered with popcorn. We drew this to the attention of staff afterwards who basically said that’s the way it is now. I will say there were other well behaved children. My view would be that where there is a performance that requires the audience to be quiet, such Items should not be on sale and staff should keep an eye out for people on phones. We will not be attending performances that require quiet ( at any venue ) until things change.

Always a pleasure to go to a show at royal albert hall.. last night's concert was memorable
I hope you’re well
I hope you’re well. I attended the Kumar Sanu concert on Monday, 25th May 2026, and I wanted to share some feedback. The performance itself was wonderful, and the atmosphere was great, but unfortunately, the sound system was very poor. There was a lot of crackling, feedback, and the audio was really unpleasant. Many people around me were equally disappointed, and it was hard to enjoy the concert due to the sound issues. I hope you can address this for future events, as it was a real disappointment.
Thank you very much for your time and attention. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Reza
Royal Albert Rip Off
I was really shocked today to find out that after purchasing 4 tickets to the Highway Festival this weekend the 15th May at full price the Albert hall is giving up to six tickets free to blue light card holders.
My party of 4 hold three blue light cards but I’ve paid over £300.00 to now have people sat next to us for nothing. Quite simply disgusting I would expect now to be compensated in some way but I won’t hold my breath
The best venue for musical shows
The best venue for musical shows. I watched A R Rehman show and its spectacular. I thoroughly enjoyed it on 24th April.
Wonderful Handel’s Messiah on Good Friday - over-priced drinks
We attended our annual visit to see Handel’s Messiah on Good Friday. This was a special visit being my 47th year on the trot & the actual 150th performance of the Messiah by the RCS. The visit was however marred by the extortionate cost of the drinks - £20 for a large glass of mediocre Chardonnay- what a rip off. RAH, get your pricing sorted out - otherwise you are going to alienate your customers and may put them off going to your venue again. We will continue to support the RCS on Good Friday but I’ll think twice before I buy any of your over-priced drinks -!
Royal Albert Hall staff
We went to the Royal Albert Hall yesterday to attend a teenage cancer trust event. Every member of staff we encountered were absolutely delightful. People were extremely helpful and polite and went out of their way. The whole experience was magical.

Disappointment All Round
As most of us know, the Albert Hall is a beautiful place, weather you've seen it on tv, or like me, attended several 'shows' there, over the years, and I'm sure all who have visited will agree, it's a unique experience, and one that will stay in peoples' memory forever.
Now, being 78, I have recently read two long biographies about a 'pop' group, famous for a song from the '70's written by the lead singer, Justin Hayword, called 'Nights In White Satin', and I'm sure people of my age, will remember this unusual and outstanding song, which actually saved the band from 'going under' at the time.
Justin to this day, is still performing, both in the USA and the UK. I personally, have seen him at three venues in this country in the last year, and can say that he can still ''put it away'' in a great manner.
Consequently, I have even purchased and seen recently, a dvd of the the 'Moodies', performing at the 'Hall', having firstly seen it on tv, including a second visit on tv. Having tried to acquire this second dvd, without success, I sent an email to the Hall, asking if they have a copy of this second visit, and to my surprise, didn't receive any acknowledgement at all from them!
I do believe that there is a kind of snobbery within this 'theatre', and that if I'd asked for a copy of a performance involving an orchestra playing some classical music, then they would have responded very quickly. I do believe that!
Anyway, I feel so strongly about this, and the fact that they didn't reply at all, this is the reason I have done this 'report'.
Please read it.
Regards
Brian, a lover of all sorts of music!
Spectacular and mind blowing world class performance.
This Magnificent, historical hall is steeped with history so much when I walked around I wondered how many famous people had I walked in their footsteps. All the staff were amazing including Andrew . Just returned from seeing OVO at the Royal Albert Hall (Feb 2026) and it is easily one of Cirque’s most energetic productions in years. If you’ve seen Corteo or Alegria before, this is much more fast-paced and colorful—truly feels like a carnival under the dome.
The Highlights:
TrampoWall: The finale is breathtaking. Watching "crickets" run up a 64-foot vertical wall is worth the ticket price alone.
The Ants: The foot juggling with giant kiwi and corn is mind-bogglingly precise.
The Sound: The live Brazilian-infused music sounds incredible with the Hall's acoustics. In my mind this is the best place I have ever been and already want to go back.
We had seats on the Rausting circle…
We had seats on the Rausting circle unfortunately I am only 4ft 8ins and due to disability i couldn't lean forward so I missed the 1st half of the performance row w seats 1 and 2 ,we asked to be moved and we were moved to row m with the swivel seats which were great.
Was at Ovo Circ de Soliel tonight
Was at Ovo Circ de Soliel tonight - great seats nice staff but omg the bars - why is there no seats in the majority of them? The 2 bars I saw with seats packed , 3 others no seats empty completely empty? Wonder why ?? Adults want to sit when going to a show & having a pre drink before or waiting for friends to join them . Empty souless horrible spaces with nowhere to sit down . I’m 61 years old I do not want to stand with my drink when waiting for friends . Only other option sitting on the bloody stairs like a teenager. For all gods sake Royal Albert furnish ALL your bars with some seats . Nasty experience for expensive tickets . You can do better . Awful
A wonderful experience
I took my family of 11 to celebrate my 77th birthday. We saw a performance of Ovo by Cirque du Soleil. I had purchased VIP tickets. My families ages went from 5 through the teens to myself in my seventies. We were Royally entertained in a beautiful lounge to cocktails, wine soft drinks for the youngsters. Excellent street food and ice creams in the interval. The performance was excellent as always. I had one of the best experiences of my life.
Ovo at the Royal Albert Hall
Review for the Royal Albert Hall – Cirque du Soleil: Ovo
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Royal Albert Hall while attending Ovo with my disabled son. The security team and all staff were truly outstanding. From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly, considerate, and incredibly helpful.
The level of care and understanding shown to my son was superb and genuinely touching. Staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, safe, and able to fully enjoy the performance. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and the whole evening felt relaxed, inclusive, and welcoming.
It was a beautiful experience for both of us, and I’m incredibly grateful to the team for making it so special. Thank you for such exceptional service.
