I recently purchased 2 albums from the Rough Trade 50th anniversary 2nd drop.
As per usual the albums were packed perfectly and arrived on time.
This is what you expect from a company who have put music and their customers first.

Really great item and retailer and fab way of marking 50 years of Rough Trade, same year as when I first started work 1976.
My only gripe was with Royal Mail who gave me no tangible delivery from the tracking number which was annoying but got it in the end left with a neighbour.

Efficient, effective, and ever so pleased with my Rough Trade delivery of The Cramps, Bad Music for Bad People (Goo Goo Muck Green, RSD Essential). Well packaged and communicated clearly. The album is brilliant of course… Fk Yeah!

Came for a Metric concert, the doors were supposed to open at 4pm, they opened the doors at 4.25 pm although it was pouring out there.clearly they know nothing about organizing events. No apologies, nothing. They could have opened the doors, provided free drinks or cheap rain macs- nothing. Asked them how they are planning to apologise - the two guys at the door ( old white hair, blue eyes to be exact) ended up looking at me with a blank face and one even dared to laugh when I asked whether they will hand us dry tshirts. Metric has been around for over 15 years- so clearly they should not have expected a group of 15 year olds to show up only? Most of us were aging between 30-50, left our jobs early. Have to listen the group with soaked shoes and clothes now. Ridiculous and shameless. I want my concert ticket fees back or I can send you my hospital bills tomorrow on top If I get ill. Alternatively, I work as a contractor- you can also cover my daily rates If I get ill as well for the next week, £400 a day since this sounds like a joke to you.

Great selection of records- loving the Rough trade 50th special editions. Got the Nirvana Nevermind 50th with a beautiful splatter pattern and great record notes insert. Packaging was good, and delivery was quick (I also got free delivery due to a voucher code rough trade sent me).

Very fast service with a goos tracking system

I’ve been a RT customer for years and I own dozens if not hundreds of RT editions. I really love what the company stands for. I am also a subscriber to the latest RT50 series. But the online shopping experience has always been less than average. The new order management system they switched to recently was a welcome improvement because the old one was pretty bad. But problems still exist, and three recent “wtf just happened?” moments still have me bamboozled. Earlier this year, I placed several larger orders that included some preorder items so I didn’t worry during the weeks of waiting for the release dates to approach for the preordered items. But all three of those orders were cancelled a few days ago without much explanation, with a generic note about unavailable inventory. Still, when I look up the individual records on the orders, they are all in stock. So what really went wrong here? No communication from customer service, just the automated cancellation emails from the ordering system. Very, very disappointing.
