It's a very good way to keep or save money.
I really like rooster money because you can save up money so you can save for whatever you want or need and it's a safe way to keep or store your money.
You should have received a card after 5-10 days after you ordered your card.

First phone contact and email did not resolve the problem second one with right explanation I knew what I was doing wrong

Our son is on a school ski trip
Our son is on a school ski trip. He has not being able to use his rooster card due to an over 18s policy. As the card is aimed at under 18s it renders it usless. He has been humiliated by the nat west. A very sorry state.

Hi Steve, I am incredibly sorry to hear about this experience your son had while on his school trip. This is absolutely not the experience we want for our customers. NatWest RoosterMoney is designed for under 18s, and a prepaid card should work at most merchant locations. Restrictions on certain merchant types (like age-restricted venues) are standard for safety, but I apologise if this is caused your child declines somewhere you would have liked the card to work. Easy to set up
Easy to set up, kids like it and its much cheaper than alternatives like GoHenry. It will lead them into a life with a proper bank too so it is a good tool for kids to learn with.

Not for grandparents.
We are (young IT savvy) grandparents, but the app is probably not designed for us. We wanted to give money to our grandchildren who could choose either to save it or use it by making purchases with their card for special occasions like birthdays, holidays or Christmas. But each time they came to use the card there always seemed to be a problem.

Will not offer free to mortgage customers.
I have had a Rooster card for over 3 years for my kids as it was suggested by their grandparents. I happily paid the subscription. Recently I have moved house and have taken out a Natwest mortgage and I am staggered that (despite paying Natwest thousands in interest each year) they will not offer Rooster free to me and my kids.
If I had a current account with no money in and did not earn them anything they would offer it!
Terrible customer care. I'll be taking my kids banking elsewhere. Mortgage will go elsewhere also when the deal is up, as it shows total disrespect for its customers.
