Issue at drop-off, but excellent and fast solution by customer service!
We had a stressful experience at the drop-off desk where we were mistakenly forced to pay €45 cash for fuel.
However, after contacting the customer service department by email with our contract and receipt, the management responded immediately.
They took our complaint seriously and fully refunded the money within a few days.
Although the situation at the airport was unpleasant, the after-sales service and problem-solving by Rhodos Cars was excellent and professional.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry that your holiday ended with a disagreement over the fuel level, but we would like to clarify what happened, as some important details may have been forgotten.
As you mentioned, you originally booked a Citroën C3 Max but received a VW T-Cross instead. This happened because the previous customer returned the Citroën later than scheduled. Rather than keeping you waiting, we arranged a free upgrade so you could start your holiday without delays.
This vehicle change is also the reason for the fuel misunderstanding.
The original agreement was prepared for the Citroën C3 Max, which had a fuel level of 5/8. However, the replacement VW T-Cross was delivered with a full tank (8/8).
To avoid sending you back to our rental desk inside Rhodes Airport Arrivals Hall for a new contract, our representative corrected the vehicle registration number by hand on your existing agreement. The change was also recorded in our reservation system, where the VW T-Cross was correctly registered with a full tank.
Unfortunately, although the registration number was corrected on your printed copy, the original fuel indication of 5/8 remained unchanged. We understand how this could create confusion, and we acknowledge that both details should have been corrected.
When you returned the vehicle at our airport parking area, you met the same representative who had arranged the vehicle change at collection. He explained the situation again, reminding you that the VW T-Cross had been supplied with a full tank. Perhaps, after several days of holiday and with your flight approaching, you simply didn't remember all the details. This would be understandable.
We appreciate that the disagreement was unpleasant, especially before your flight. However, we want to reassure you that there was absolutely no intention to charge you unfairly.
Rodos Cars has built its reputation over many years through reliable vehicles, transparent conditions and personal customer service. Our customers' trust is worth far more to us than €45, and we would never deliberately risk that trust over such an amount.
We also recognise that correcting the fuel indication on your printed agreement would have prevented this misunderstanding, and we will pay closer attention to this procedure in the future.
To provide complete transparency and help resolve this misunderstanding, I have also contacted you personally by email and sent you a copy of the rental agreement recorded in our reservation system. This document shows the VW T-Cross you actually received, rather than the originally booked Citroën C3 Max, together with the correct fuel level of 8/8. I hope that reviewing this information will help clarify why the fuel charge was made. Once you have had the opportunity to examine the documents, we would sincerely appreciate it if you would consider updating your review to reflect the complete circumstances. Naturally, we fully respect your right to express your opinion, and our intention is simply to ensure that the situation is understood fairly by everyone.

Hidden fee’s, very poor customer service
We booked with rodos cars as the reviews seemed great. Maybe their great until there is a problem, then the 5 star goes out the window. We had only been on the road 10 minutes, we drove over what felt like a rock/stone. It had punctured the tyre. We pulled over a little further down the road to check and it wasn’t safe to drive on. We called the company straight away to explain what had happened, they said someone would come right away, we waited a while for someone to come to change the tyre, the guy who came barely had the right tools so couldn’t even get it off it took him a long time. We was stood on the side of a very busy road where people were actually pulling over and shouting at us ( apparently not obvious there was an issue with the car for us to be stopped there) , we thought lucky for us, we bought all the extra insurance to cover the tyres etc but was told we have to go to the office to fill out a form. So we went there to do this and was charged €60.. they had charged us for things that wasn’t in our written agreement and when I tried to question the charges they the lady behind the desk told me they’d charge my card €400!! The customer service was poor, hidden fees, I didn’t feel comfortable with this company having my card details on file after being threatened with them charging my card. We ended up not using the car after this. I did contact the company to make things right but I should of guessed I wouldn’t get a nice response from them.
Never again. Even if you’ve paid for insurance there is still hidden costs. They also refused to give us any proof of insurance.
A edit to their reply: I see them comment the same kind of stuff to any negative review. Don’t be fooled. I already contacted them and had a awful response yet they’ve said to get in touch.

We are sorry that a tyre incident only a few minutes after collecting the vehicle resulted in such a negative impression of Rodos Cars. Having to stop beside a busy road is certainly stressful, and you did the correct thing by contacting us immediately so that assistance could be arranged.
However, we would like to clarify an important point regarding the €60 payment because, from the circumstances you describe, it does not appear that the €60 was a charge for the destroyed tyre itself or for the roadside assistance provided after the first incident.
You state that you had purchased the additional insurance covering tyres. Therefore, the first incident and the resulting tyre damage were covered by the additional insurance you selected, subject to the applicable rental conditions and incident procedure.
A destroyed tyre, together with the roadside service required to assist you and replace or repair it, would clearly cost considerably more than €60. The amount you mention therefore does not appear to represent the cost of that damage.
From what we can understand without yet having your reservation records in front of us, the €60 was most probably requested to reinstate the additional insurance protection after it had already been used for the first incident, allowing you to continue the rental with protection in case a second incident occurred. In other words, it would not have been payment for the first damaged tyre, which was covered, but rather to ensure that you remained protected afterwards.
Nevertheless, we do not want to make a definitive statement without first examining your actual reservation and rental agreement. Please send your reservation number, full name used for the booking, rental dates and vehicle details to savvas@rodoscars.gr. I will personally investigate the case, including the insurance purchased, the first incident, the reason for the €60 payment and what was communicated to you regarding the possible €400 charge.
We also take your comments regarding the communication at our office seriously. Even when an amount is correctly required under the rental or insurance conditions, it must be clearly explained to the customer, including exactly what it is for. There should be no misunderstanding that makes a customer believe an applicable insurance procedure is a hidden charge.

Sur place, a notre arrivée, personne..message whatsapp...j'arrive.
J'aperçois une Toyota blanche...et je me lance..est ce lui ?
Il finit par m'apercevoir et se dirige vers moi...je donné mon nom.
Pas de réaction..il s'apprête à repartir et a nous planter là. J'insiste. Il appelle son agence et finit par nous dire de monter dans sa voiture.
Au contact de clients dont il ne sait même pas le nom...!!!
Je trouve ça déplorable et face a l'hôtesse en train de rédiger le contrat..elle parle à peine anglais, je ne comprends rien à ce qu'elle tente de m'expliquer .
Je finis par appeler mon agence qui se débrouille avec ces personnes.
Et je finis par partir sans avoir eu d'explication sur la maîtrise de la conduite et des finesses d'une Toyota hybride.
Une certaine idée de l'incompétence de cette équipe et donc de cette enseigne.
Je ne recommande pas du tout.

Heel vriendelijk en relaxt personeel, zowel aan de balie als bij het auto ophaalpunt. De service is top: heldere voorwaarden, reserveergemak, een uitstekende prijs, slechts 3 minuten lopen naar de ophaalplaats vanuit de aankomsthal. Goede betrouwbare auto's. Geen enkel gedoe over extra verzekeringen etc.(wij weten uit eigen ervaring ook dat het anders kan). Een goed begin en eind vd vakantie op Rodos.

Outstanding experience with Rodos Cars. They delivered the car to my hotel in Faliraki right on time, and everything was straightforward and stress-free. No hidden fees, no deposit, and none of the hard-selling tactics you often encounter with car rental companies. The vehicle matched my booking perfectly, and returning it took just a few minutes.
Total respect for such an honest and customer-focused service. Easily the best car rental experience I've ever had. Highly recommended!

Whilst staying in Rhodes we hired a vehicle. It arrived early and we drove for one hour to Prasanisi beach. Four adults and one child. After an hour and a half we went back to the car so we could continue our day only to find that the battery was flat. We called to get this rectified. They called back to find out where we were and said they’d be with us in 45 mins. Whilst on this call a restaurant worker came over and bump started the car. The person on the phone advised us to go back to our hotel and to call when we got there so they could come out. This we did but it took them another two hours to get to us. The battery was very old and filthy so it was replaced. However when asking for a refund for half a day they refused and offered a discount code for our next visit. No good if you aren’t going to use them again. Really bad customer support with no resolve. I would rather pay more with a better company.

Our response to your review remains consistent with the information already provided during your correspondence with our reservations department.
We are sorry that the battery failure interrupted your visit to Prasonisi. However, unexpected technical issues that cannot reasonably be predicted or prevented do not automatically result in a rental refund, particularly when assistance is organised and the issue is resolved as quickly and efficiently as circumstances allow.
A battery may fail suddenly for several reasons, including an internal cell failure, extreme summer temperatures or an electrical component, such as the lights, being unintentionally left active while the vehicle is parked. Such an incident can occur without prior warning and does not necessarily indicate inadequate maintenance.
When evaluating the handling of an unexpected incident, the company’s response is particularly important. Prasonisi is one of the most remote locations in Rhodes, and assistance times must be considered in relation to the travelling distance, road conditions and heavy summer traffic.
To reduce your waiting time, our team communicated with the restaurant owner, who assisted with restarting the vehicle after you approached the restaurant. Once the engine had started, you were able to return safely and more quickly to the comfort of your hotel instead of waiting for roadside assistance to travel to Prasonisi. While assistance was being arranged, you and your family also had the option of waiting inside the restaurant rather than remaining exposed to the sun and heat.
Returning to the hotel was recommended by our team for your family’s comfort. The battery was then replaced at the hotel on the same day, and the vehicle remained available for the remainder of the agreed rental period.
Considering that assistance was arranged, the vehicle was restarted, you returned safely to your hotel and the technical issue was resolved, we were unable to approve a refund for half a rental day. Nevertheless, we offered a future discount code as a sincere gesture of goodwill in recognition of the inconvenience.
We regret that you did not consider this resolution satisfactory, but we believe our team responded responsibly and as efficiently as possible under the circumstances.

Ich möchte euch wirklich warnen – beinahe wäre unser Urlaub direkt mit einer Katastrophe gestartet.
Ich hatte einen Mietwagen bei Yours Car gebucht, mich als Hauptfahrerin angegeben und online mit der Kreditkarte meines Mannes bezahlt. Vor Ort wurde für die Kaution aber zwingend eine Kreditkarte auf meinen Namen verlangt. Mein Mann stand mit seiner Kreditkarte und gültigem Führerschein daneben – trotzdem konnten sie ihn nicht als Hauptmieter eintragen. Auch Barzahlung der Kaution war nicht möglich und eine Alternative wurde uns nicht angeboten. Das bereits bezahlte Geld sollte trotzdem einbehalten werden.
Wir sind anschließend zu Rodos Cars direkt gegenüber vom Flughafen gegangen. Dort hatten wir ohne Kaution, völlig unkompliziert und in nicht einmal zehn Minuten einen Mietwagen.
Bei Yours Car würde ich nicht noch einmal buchen. Rodos Cars dagegen können wir absolut empfehlen.

Best Car Hire In Rhodes!!
We have been booking with Rodos Cars now for almost 5 years. All our booking are done from their easy to use website. Type in Rodos Cars in Google to locate their website.
They have a great selection of cars and as you build loyalty and you contact them they'll offer you a discount as a returning customer.
You pay nothing until you arrive at their desk after security at check in. They will take card payments upon successful check in. The desk is located on the right as you walk through their gates.
The speedy check in seamless, all they take is a copy of your licence and within a few minutes your off.
The car port is located at the end the parade and the woman at the collection point is called Elaine (most of the time) she a wonderful woman that's so helpful and guides you through the do's & dont's.
Their prices are very competitive and they have over 3000 cars in circulation! Their cars are relatively new too with a choice of automatic or manual.
Great experience & service will use again.

Our trip to Rodes
We rented two cars from Rodos Cars during our stay in Rhodes, and the experience was excellent from start to finish.
Both cars were new, clean, and in perfect condition. The service was outstanding: one car was delivered directly to the airport, and the second was brought to our hotel, which was very convenient.
A special thank you to Olga for her exceptional customer service. On our last evening, we faced an unexpected problem: after 10 p.m. we were unable to find an open gas station, even those that were supposed to operate 24/7. Since we had to return the car at 4 a.m., we were quite worried. I contacted Olga late in the evening, and she responded immediately and helped us solve the problem.
Olga, thank you very much for your professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help. It made a huge difference and gave us peace of mind before our departure.
We highly recommend Rodos Cars to anyone visiting Rhodes and will definitely use their services again.

Rodos Cars in Amada…
We hired a car at Rodos Cars in Amada Collosos Resort. Maria was really helpful, we’ve had a nice vw t-roc cabriolet to explore the island. Really easy, 10 min of paperwork and we’ve had our car booked in and ready for collection next morning.
Definitely will use them again on our next trip to Rhodes

First car hired developed a faultduring use, car was swapped with another of the same type immediately without fuss or quibble. Geweldige ervaring!
De auto online reserveren was erg makkelijk. We kregen via email goede uitleg hoe we de balie op het vliegveld konden vinden.
De ontvangst bij de balie was vriendelijk en snel. Papierwerk lag al klaar, en we werden vriendelijk naar de auto verwezen, op 3 minuten loopafstand van de aankomsthal.
De auto zelf was prima in orde, en na een korte uitleg en wat foto's, konden we meteen op weg.
Tijdens de anderhalve week dat we op Rhodos waren hebben we geen problemen met de auto ondervonden, en bij het inleveren waren we ook binnen 2 minuten klaar.
Al met al een perfecte service. Ik zou Rodos Cards zeker aanraden!
