Easy to use and straightforward , also good value

Despite providing a large amount of information, including, Car hire docs, crime report, photos, etc Claim was rejected by the underwriter AXA. Basically accusing me of lying. Really poor clearly just trying to avoid paying out on a genuine claim. Avoid. I won't use the again.

Taking out our Travel insurance with Puffin was very easy .The website was clear , precise and easily navigated .Details of the policy were clear and further information was easily accessed . Payment was safe and secure and download of the policy was immediately available . A competitive premium too.

I have had puffin travel insurance for two years. This year a day before flying to Spain my accommodation was cancelled last minute. I phoned puffin insurance and spoke to an advisor who said my policy covered me for excess on the accommodation up to £2000. I booked expensive last minute accommodation for an additional £700 and put in my claim. The claim was rejected as apparently my policy didn’t cover the cancellation. I am very disappointed and feel cheated as I was advised I would be covered. The advisor even checked my policy while I was on hold. I am so annoyed this still hasn’t been resolved. I would not recommend this company or AXA who underwrite this policy

Puffin is subsidiary of AXA and I’m afraid it’s a pure disaster when it comes to claiming refund on cruise .
We booked a Mediterranean cruise in September 25 and paid full balance in May 20 26. For cruise in September 26.
Unfortunately my husband became in ill in early summer and was referred to Haematologist in July of this year where he underwent more tests and was advised NOT to travel in September as there would be more investigations before diagnosis.
So I let cruise company know of this and they refunded under half of the money telling me to claim remainder off travel insurance.
This is proving to be very stressful indeed AXA has us jumping through hoops for letters/ confirmations from drs / consultant, etc…. My husband was diagnosed on 28th August with cancer and is red flagged for intense chemotherapy course. (Starting this month. )
AXA needed another letter confirming this and each time they require something new, we’re told a decision will be made 5–10 working days. This is what we’re told every time they want something new it’s pure delay tactics.
I completely broke down on phone after 52 minutes of trying to get some straightforward updates instead of having to listen to them waffle on about needing MORE proof / information etc…… I couldn’t believe the way we were treated in our circumstances( senior citizens ) treated this way is abominable. I have sent a letter to their complaints team , if nothing is settled then we will most definitely get our solicitor to take over.
I’ll give update later on any outcome

Really happy with Puffin Insurance. The price was very competitive and arranging the policy was quick and straightforward. The cover offered was really reassuring and gave me peace of mind for my holiday.

I had a heart attack 10 months ago, so arranging Travel Insurance with a Medical Condition has proved to be an arduous task. I used Puffin in the past and their approach appeared less aggressive in their questioning format and also the most competitively priced compared to all the mainstream companies.

It was very simple to do and covered for all ailments 😁 very reasonable price too
