Melts Plastic
Re: Micromot 60E drill
Be aware that the minimum rotational speed of these is 5,000 rpm. (It has to be, so I am told by Proxxon, in order to cool the motor.) If you drill at least some plastics at this speed they melt and then congeal and harden around the drill bit. You then have to carefully scrape it off, trying to avoid breaking the (0.5mm diameter) bit. I am not impressed by this given the drill is supposed to be for modelling.
We need a version that has a much lower speed.
