ProCook Professional X50 8" chef's knife
ProCook's own brand Professional X50 8" chef's knife is at the low end of a range with exotic damascus blades for a squillion quid at the top. You get to test-drive the knife in the shop with potato and tomato before buying. It replaced a cheap one that would never get properly sharp. Veg preparation is quicker and the blade remains sharp for longer. Comfortable synthetic riveted handle plates. Nothing to dislike about this utensil.
