I cannot thank Proback enough for making my life so much easier with less pain. The staff are incredibly professional and caring and they always try to accommodate me when booking appointments. The shock wave therapy is great for all my aches and pains on various places on my body. I am, at present, also having prolotherapy injections in my knee as I have been experiencing bad knee pain when ascending and descending the stairs. I can walk much more with ease now and have much less pain than before. I would definitely recommend Proback to everyone who has mobility issues. They have certainly helped me.

A really bad experience overall. You wont see the same practitioner throughout .. I was left unsupervised on machines and found myself pushing emergency buttons. Everything is rushed, paperwork and consent forms. especially when shifting you from one procedure to another. consultation is taking place in the corridor and reception give medical advice even when it is clear they are uncomfortable doing so It is not the tailored service it purports to be. Rather they move you between process's when one doesn't work they try another. Finally the Doctor who admitted knowing nothing about my preexisting neurological condition prescribed a procedure to mitigate it .. sighting it as the real reason I hadnt improved. I suspected and stated that it was in fact or in part due to a group of injections that had been carried out in a way that felt cavalier and carless with terrible aftercare from the specific practitioner of theirs. A man impatient, rude and dismissive whilst he carried out this series of injections another practitioner opened the door directly to the waiting room. The injections were in my bum and my bum faced the open door ! Their seems little concern for dignity.
My partners concerns (she joined me) were dismissed by the Doctor in a way women often unfortunately find when dealing with male doctors,he was very dismissive he felt the need to touch her when she expressed agitation and concern at the situation and then failed to treat her with the respect of shaking her hand until she practically shamed him into doing it. Most unsatisfactory. If you look on glass door where employees review their work places you can see former employees feelings toward the clinic and it is very telling. Ultimately it gave me no relief cost me a lot of money and left me feeling somewhat traumatised. Their are some very sweet staff there no doubt but the organisation seems woefully inadequate. I dont enjoy writing bad reviews but sometimes it is a responsibility.

After a year of significant lower back pain, two sets of steroid injections, two courses of physiotherapy and a few osteopathy appointments I was a bit desperate. I’ve got bulging discs pressing on nerves which made climbing stairs and slopes and uneven surfaces very painful. A friend had recommended shockwave therapy for another part of the body and I thought I’d give it a shot. I was skeptical to start with but after 7 sessions of shockwave and K Laser treatment I was beginning to notice a significant improvement in my back and pain levels. Stairs and slopes are no longer so painful and I can straighten my back when I try. I’m on the maintenance path now which includes exercising at home. The staff at the Proback clinic are very helpful and professional.

I first visited Proback back in 2019 and had great results, but my care was unfortunately interrupted by Covid. Over the next few years, I tried more local providers, but I never achieved the same level of progress or diagnostic clarity, so I always came back to the team I trusted at Proback.
However, for the last three months, I have been dealing with a new, debilitating flare-up of my lower back pain that has been far more stubborn than anything before. It got to the point where I could not even sit for more than 10 minutes without significant pain and was relying on a daily combination of ibuprofen and paracetamol just to get through basic tasks. The pain was so severe that it significantly impacted a holiday I had already booked. I came to Proback with this constant, burning nerve impingement on my right side.
For most patients and even myself in the past, their excellent "tried and tested" methods like shockwave therapy and spinal decompression have been enough. This time, my progress was incredibly slow. We even tried Prolotherapy, and while I could feel it was beginning to strengthen my back, it ultimately couldn't solve the core problem. The "rebuilding" process couldn't be successful while the nerve impingement had not been completely eradicated.
This is where everything changed and why I am writing this review.
Instead of giving up, my case was escalated to the founder, Dr. Chris Allard, who originally treated me back in 2019. He performed a deep physical assessment and, crucially, used a diagnostic ultrasound to get a real-time look at my back. This was the absolute game-changer. He discovered that the root cause was "huge amounts" of deep, chronic scar tissue that was physically trapping the nerve.
Because nothing else was working for my stubborn case, Dr. Chris used his expertise to bring in a procedure I had never heard of, as they don't advertise it: Ultrasound-Guided Hydrodissection. He explained that this was like a "mini-surgery" without the cutting, using an anaesthetic to numb the area and then injections of fluid to precisely break down and separate the scar tissue in a way that the shockwave therapy just couldn't break through.
The impact has been huge. While we haven't reached the end goal yet and more sessions will be needed to completely free the nerve, the hydrodissection has been far more effective than any of the other treatments this time around and I wanted to share my experience. Most people probably are not aware of the procedure and how successful it can be. It has begun to dismantle the core problem that was holding me back.

I came to ProBack after being a chronic back pain sufferer for over 10 years, and - since seeing Dr Chris and the team - I can honestly say this is the first time I have felt pain free.

I had an hip / back injury when I was 26 years old, which has meant that as I've got older it started to affect my life in every way. I couldn't sit down for long periods of time - so couldn't drive longer than 30 minutes. Or sit in a meeting without standing up every 30 minutes. Or have a meal. Long haul was a nightmare. And then I started to get pain in all the things I love doing too. Like picking up my small daughter. Or going to the gym.

And I've tried EVERYTHING (I mean, everything) and spent so much money to try and fix my problems. Physiotherapy. Yoga and Pilates. Acupuncture. Osteopath. Homeopath. Manual therapy. And it wasn't until I said to my husband that I need a last resort. I was going to turn to anyone who would give me surgery, or steroids, but then I found Dr Chris at ProBack. The team did an in-depth analysis, and told me that surgery was not going to fix my problems, and told me about the regenerative injections called prolotherapy. And I needed to have 5 rounds or so.

I was a bit sceptical at first. But I had nothing to lose - my painful life not being able to sit down had to stop one way or another. And so I tried it.

I did the first, and it was really sore. The second started to get better. And by the third - I walked into the room and gave Dr Chris a hug and said 'thank you so much, I had forgotten what it was like to feel pain free, and now I can remember again!'.

In every treatment session - Dr Chris is so attentive and thorough - and wants to make sure that he was going the very best job each session (He even spent 1.5 hrs with me on my last one). And his team are all really supportive.

We're still finalising the last few areas and ironing out the last bits of pain, but the progress my back has made is incredible. And I can honestly say, to anyone who has been suffering for years, go and see these guys! Might be the best thing you ever do for your pain.

On Friday I received my last x-ray results after a "hard" 6-month spinal therapy! I say the word hard because a sick body does not heal from one minute to the next, there was also pain in it, because it is part of the healing! I cannot express in words how much I can thank the staff of the proback clinic! I would like to mention the dearest and most precise doctor Yohanis by name! Yohanis's miraculous hands improved my condition by 70 percent, which I did not even dare to dream of! (sick vertebrae, constant pain, numbness, tense muscles, damaged nerves, etc.) no.. I do not want to advertise the clinic, I am talking about the experience that we went through together during the 6 months! I had an amazing experience with Proback from the moment I book my first appointment. I tried so many other clinics in the past, spent so much money and I couldn’t get anything close to the results I had with Proback. The most incredibly caring staff I ever met. The team is super professional. BIG thank you to the whole team specially my senior practitioner who took the time to explain in rich level of technical detail everything that was happening with neck issue based on the clinical assessment. I left Proback no just feeling MUCH better, but also knowing much more about how to deal my injury. Strongly recommend the shockwave treatment and the spinal decompression treatments.

Proback, life changer. After years of lower back pain and costly visits to the chiropractor, I heard about Proback. Very hesitant to go at first but all the staff were amazing. All very professional and knowledgeable.
I had a course of 18 shockwave and spinal decompression, which eased the pain but didn’t resolve the issue. I was then informed about Prolozone therapy. I was nervous due to a needle phobia, but was reassured by the staff.
The prolozone worked wonders and the pain is no longer there.

I originally went to ProBack 2 years ago after being diagnosed with seven bulging discs in my spine. I was in extreme pain and couldn't sit down or stand up without extreme pain. Proback took X-rays and discovered I had lost the curvature in my spine, and my prosthetic hip was situated much higher than my own hip, which may have aggravated my spine, causing these issues. I had been going to my doctor for 3 years, since having a hip replacement, as I had experienced constant pain in my hip and back, and I was only offered a steroid injection, which, after research, is not recommended in a prosthetic hip. So I was desperate for some pain relief.
Proback put me on a 12-week plan, incorporating shockwave and laser treatment. They gave me a back cushion to recreate the curve in my spine and an insole to help correct my misaligned prosthetic hip. After a couple of weeks, I noticed a large reduction in pain, and after the 12-week plan, I was pain-free. At this time, the pain in my prosthetic hip and my own hip had increased so much that I could not work. I finally saw a surgeon who put me on a 10-week waiting list for my prosthetic hip treatment, and a 9-month waiting list to have my own hip replaced.
I went to Proback for my back treatment, very upset and confused, as my back was getting better, but now my hips were so painful that I could not work. They looked at my X-rays again and advised that they can help with both hips, and my own hip does not need a replacement, as it's not bone-on-bone, but they can alleviate the inflammation and pain.
I had prolozone therapy and hydra-dissection therapy, which has been life-changing. My pain had reduced by 60%. I am still having treatment, but the reduction in pain is remarkable. I can work, walk without limping, and more importantly, I don't think I will need another hip replacement for a while. They are worth every penny.

There was some initial improvement in the first few session. Two months of treatment later, I was given a different diagnoses and the head doctor was brought in. When I was reporting no improvement all through, nobody took the time to review my report. While the staff were fine, they rotated so often it was almost irritating to have your treatment stalled. Disappointing Experience with Injection prolozone

I recently visited Proback clinics Victoria for an injection, hoping it would alleviate my pain. Unfortunately, the treatment did not have any effect, and I ended up paying £800 for what feels like nothing. Instead of relief, my pain actually worsened following the procedure.

The lack of results was incredibly frustrating, especially given the high cost. I expected a professional service and effective treatment but left feeling disappointed and in more discomfort than before. I cannot recommend this service based on my experience.
