Pirates Cave Chandlery Omdömen 

I ordered a reel of 5mm three strand rope on July 13th and nothing has arrived. Today is 23rd July. I've emailed their customer services 3 times and have no response to any emails. Very poor.

You're better off popping down to your local chandlery and getting what you need.

Ordered a few items but main items were outboard and tender !
So rest of order was sent in timely fashion but no engine or boat ! I chased it and then informed the delivery time on those items is different due to checks fair enough not fan of finding this out after the fact or paying the postage I did as not true what your paying for .
So outboard is delivered upside down and damaged box etc , I am informed not directly but second hand that the tender was over weight and being delivered later ! I called the pirates and told them I had email informing me order had been delivered but clearly hasn’t ! The pirates then said they would get on it !
Yeah nothing for 24hrs so I called again and clearly their side of customer service is over and they will now use anything they can to explain they did all they could and not their fault ! I was informed basically the courier had no idea the pirates had no idea ! I was then informed a boat will be getting sent out today for me ! When I get it no idea as information clearly is all secret and also their holding and testing period for boats has changed as I got told it all needs checking before it’s despatched but this boat clearly is straight out the door if they are to be believed and yet no delivery deletes and it’s out of period of delivery they will use to explain errors !

we ordered a waste pump at the beginning of the month, heard nothing back for a whole week so we called them up, they then on the phone told us our items were damaged in transit and sent back.
now we have had an email saying they never had the stock when we placed the order and have to wait until the beginning of June until they get stock.
be careful ordering from here if you are in a rush. 3 weeks and still waiting for a waste pump, no end in sight...

We have some family memorial plaques on Clevedon Pier. They were looking a bit tarnished when we visited recently but we were able to borrow a brass plaque cleaning box from the ticket office. We looked at the contents - Vistal. It said Economical, Biodegradable, Free from Toxins and Acids, Multi Surface Cleaner, Cleans, Shines, Protects. "Yeah", we thought! "Wish we'd brought the Brasso", but we hadn't so we gave the supplied stuff a go. Wow! What a brilliant product. It cleaned off the tarnish in no time at all, leaving the lettering clear, unlike Brasso that would leave a white residue in the engraved letters, and no chemical smell. I came home and got online straight away. I needed this stuff to polish brass fittings on our front door.
It seems this Vistal stuff is quite difficult to get hold off, with Chandlers being the main suppliers. I found Pirates Cave Chandlers on B&Q Marketplace selling Vistal at a good price and put in my order. It arrived in just a couple of days and I have nothing but praise for the product and the seller. I ordered the large 850g tub and you barely need any to polish metal. Our front door has never looked so good and it even seems to repel the postie's fingerprint marks. It's going to last us for ever.
I haven't yet tried it on other surfaces but I can see why Clevedon Pier lend it to visitors to polish their memorial plaques.

Needed a fender valve adaptor last minute as my existing one broke and was due to go out on boat shortly. Sam on phone arranged someone to drop it down to marina for me as I couldnt make it to shop. Excellent

I had a few calls and emails with Nathan and other member of the team and can not express my gratitude for their help. They went for sure extra mile to find a solution what exceeded my expectations. Resolution was achieved by communication with manufacturer and supplier. Within short time I was able to finish system which works for me. Thank you again.

Very prompt and professional customer service from Nathan , I purchased shoes which the sole on one became unglued this was rectified quickly with another pair sent out to replace them . I will certainly buy from them again

I have just recently taken up kayaking at the tender age of 68. Knowing little about the subject I looked online to find out where I could purchase a personal floatation device and found this excellent shop. I was met by friendly, smiling, helpful and professional female staff. Knowing nothing about which floatation device I actually needed I was guided to that department where I was personally assisted to choose the correct Bouyancy Aid. I certainly recommend this shop and will buy from here again!

on there website it says if ordered before 1pm then delivered next day, I ordered late on Thursday (expecting item to be delivered Saturday) and didn't receive it till Monday which meant a few people who had offered to help couldn't managed because of work. I phoned the company to say I would like my postage returned but was told that they would have to pay extra for it to be delivered on Saturday so no way they would give me anything. So be aware that if it is later than Thursday 1pm use someone else.

Phoned up tp order a raymarine transducer on website says £229, phoned to order suddenly £266. Buyer's

I bought some deck shoes from Pirates Cave but they mixed up 2 orders and I recieved the wrong shoes.
I called them about the issue and within half an hour I recieved an email with a return label and in less than 24 hours I received the correct shoes from them.
Unbeatable customer service.

Purchased some fenders to collect in-store. I phoned up and they checked the stock for me, I paid over the phone then collected a few hours later.

Made an order 2 weeks ago, had emails to say order successful and another to say payment complete, haven’t heard anything since about delivery or being dispatched and have emailed and tried to call with no answer to either.

Not great - they will accept your order online for items they do not stock and you pay in full, then you wait weeks and weeks without receipt of the item you ordered. They never return calls despite numerous promises when I called them and they never answer any e mails. Finally I have received my refund but it has taken a month.

Fantastic customer service and great people to work with. They gave me time and attention while being rather busy providing excellent service to other customers as well. My parcel arrived within 24 hours of them shipping between UK to USA. Unbelievable. Highly recommend!
