I recently took out a policy with this company in february cant access documents on website , my car has not been registered on motor insurance data base. was not aware of this until received letter from police. already had issue when taking out policy made a complaint, was dealt with. now cant get docs after calling them twice, now asked for email of documents. will see what happens.

THEY PUT YOU ON AUTO RENEWEL EVEN I CXL AT THE START OF MY INS THEY STILL RENEW WHEN CALL THEM WHY HAVE YOU TAKEN MONEY FROM A/C THEY SAY WE WILL CHAREGE YOU 20 POUND FOR ADMIN FEE.......🤦‍♂️

Scammers, they send emails a few month after taking insurance asking for further detail, hiked my insurance up by 400 pounds two month later saying my birth information was wrong came over to uk under around 11 month old and was lazy to keep scrolling so stated at birth in uk. if your not English your insurance will be higher, what has where I was born got to do with my driving after 46 years in the uk.

They should call their company it EDL People's insurance

Had to Cancelled paid fee 90 pound to there right wing con company.

Avoid at any cost, no app to cancel your policy. called today 18/04.2024 to cancel as their phone line was busy yesterday (day when I sold my car and their phone liones are open till 6PM) and one of the advisor (which I can't really hear over the phone) set it up to be canceled on 19th of April when I clearly said that I sold my car day before(on 17th April).

You can't contact them over the email as they never reply and don't even give you an option to contact them over the email unless you go deeper and actually find the email to hasting direct not to people's choice.

Disgusting to deal with I will never use again. They have to realise that we are in 2024 and people don't need to do everything over the phone as we are busy and They have short working hours

£20 fee to cancel your insurance once auto renewed. Auto renewal they hide it away so you cannot see in the portal. When calling they told me that I will be sent a email to pay for my new insurance and if I don’t policy will be cancelled. They Threaten you with debt collectors. Sellers are very forceful trying to sell you new insurance when trying to cancel. They say your new policy you can cancel within 14 days with full refund but why can’t I cancel my plan with you guys and not pay the stupid £20 fee when I didn’t even want to renew.
Portal is down half the time. Phone lines are always busy. Worse insurance company I have dealt with over the last 8 years. More importantly they price hike the following year of your insurance and blame the price hikes.

Terrible company , I can't enter to my account . Their website is not working , there is no phone number . I had to cancel the direct debit , because I can't contact them . They write my account is on Hasting insurance , but when I looking for the account , I can't find it .

Genuinely don’t even bother - an absolute waste of time. Can’t access any of my policy documents or anything. Can’t log into my account without it trying to make me change my password and when I do it still doesn’t give me the option to log in. So can’t even access my policy documents through that, some of their websites just don’t exist. You try and click on one and it says that this page does not exist further preventing you logging in. The app does not work and if you try and go through Hastings direct website and log in through there it doesn’t even show a policy, just an empty screen. Clearly a scam to steal your money.

Worst insurance company ever, despite their cheaper cover prices. I was in an accident that was non-fault, and without notice, they flagged my policy with a fault claim. Further to this, they paid out damages, again without any updates.

Complete Crooks! The worst insurance. They constantly amend my policy and charge me £200 admin fees each time because it says in their "policy". The biggest scammers i've ever used. I've never left a review before but i had to let people know how bad this company is. They are a disgrace. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Went with them last October, due to best price for a 5 star Defaqto rating car insurance on comparison site. Excess also very favourable compared to others.

A few things I'd mark the policy down for, eg. 3rd party cover for other vehicles would have been nice. Windscreen excess a little higher than average (obviously only impacts if I make a claim).

Easy access to documents from website. I have not needed to make a claim. Easy to add temporary vehicle for a week that would have cost more elsewhere.

Scammers, inventing reasons to make changes, and ask for more money.
They increased my insurance by £120 for changing the job title.

Once again, waiting on the phones for an hour each call and still have not spoken to a single person. Scam of a place. Who has time for this??? Employ adequate amounts of people to man the phones!!

Been with them for 3 years now. Started off well. Last year they put it up by £150 for the year when nothing had happened other than I got an extra years no claims. This year they want to put it up another £200. This is where I have drawn the line and cancelled. No way should I be paying £1524 from £1101 the other year for a 1.4 fiesta for just social and commuting. Called them up because they don’t let you cancel your renewal online, probably in hope to be even more greedy knowing some people wouldn’t notice in time. They offered me a discount which was more than some other companies that are well known and good reviewed. Greedy people haha. My new company offered £650 for the same service but from a better company.

7 months in to my insurance and they sending me emails threatening to cancel my insurance if I don't update my policy with 2 question they want to know which was already answered in the application. 1st how long my partner has been uk resident. 2nd what's my job title. I answered both questions to which they replied their records showed my partner's uk resident stay was different from that of the application by 2 months and they are going to charge me £30 to update their records. They already have my info but want you to make a mistake so they can charge you £30 I wonder how many customers they do this too

Had a terrible encounter with People Choice insurance. Within two weeks of getting insured, they asked for more details, charging a £30 admin fee. If I didn't provide the extra information, they threatened to cancel my insurance, imposing a £45 fee. This insurance is absurd, a major scam, and I wouldn't recommend it.

A complete racket. You might as well be dealing with the mafia. Avoid.

Customer for 3 years, renewal came through increasing the price from £943.69 to £1739.95. Phoned up to try and get the price reduced but had no luck. Safe to say I'll be changing insurer.

Poor services. Trying to login to my account the stupid system ask for email and I provide then it send a link to login so I open the link and after fill the password I press the login button and nothing happen. So poor and stupid website you have. Do not use this company!!!

Left this year after my Insurnace being hiked up by around 80%. Yes that was because I have the crash but they also failed to listen to me about it not being 100% my fault as other during was speeding in a pace which has a strict 10 miles an hour limit. But because I pulled out the junction I was one at fault. When I told them I could get it cheaper else where they magically lowered the £180 to £110 which is what I was paying previously a month. Based on shear dishonesty and lack of communication regarding that claim I left. Luckily my no claims was unaffected as I didn’t claim myself as my car was okay.

More on the claim. It was a blind corner leading of a round about on private land. Clear 10ph speed limit car I hit was at least doing 30 -40 as you could see from photos and the despction. They said our stories matched but placed me 100% at fault even though the other drive broke the law. In future if anyone has accident call the police to verify their speeds and accounts as got no where with appealing this. Didn’t even get updated on claim so after months and switching Insurnace companies I had to call to get updates shocking service and even more shocking how they don’t wanna fight your corner considering I’m fully comp and have legal cover….

Paid for insurance to find out they don't allow policy holder to drive other cars. Asked the rep on the phone and was advised their underwriters do not offer this, which is complete bs. Cancelled before the policy even started yet they still charged me £20 for 'arrangement fee'. Rip off! Don't use these guys.
