Be very aware of the process if you want to sell your property once in an IVA

Whilst they are very polite and helpful and I’d had a good experience up till yesterday.
My bad experience came when wanting to sell my property. It was not explained to me at any stage (even though I kept them updated at every step) the length of time it takes to put on and remove a restriction on property. I was told it was ok to go ahead and put the property on the market which I did and quickly got a buyer.
Only over a month in did it become apparent that lifting the restriction would take time. I was assured after pushing for accurate information that it would take approximately 2weeks. I then received a notification from the Land registry to place the restriction on the property )it wasn’t even in place at this stage)
I spoke to Land Registry and it takes about 6 months or more to put a restriction in place and all PayPlan needed to do at this stage was call and cancel it as it had not been applied. Worst case scenario would be another 6 months to remove it. PayPlan have brushed aside my complaint with excuses. There’s no excuse for not keeping people fully informed of process.
I will now incur high costs involved with solicitors and estate agents if (which I’ve no doubt I will) I lose my buyers who in turn have also had costs due to solicitors and survey.
Who pays these costs, certainly not PayPlan!
BE VERY AWARE WHEN ENTERING AN IVA REGARDING THIS MATTER.
We’re just 2 small people in a big world making money from the unfortunate.

Sharon Anderson- what an absolute star ⭐️ I have a learning disability , which she took on board and just rolled with.
Empathetic, concise, literal layman’s terms which is what I needed.
Been with PayPlan for 8 months and she’s the first to really comprehend and break info down so I actually get it.

Provided hope during a very dark time

When I reached out to PayPlan and then received a phone call back, that first person I spoke to was so perfectly matched for what I needed on that first phone call. The caller was non-judgemental, kind, patient and empathetic. They were able to listen and gather all the necessary information. They then passed me onto an advisor who could put all the information together and provide a number of viable solutions. This person, again, was perfect for what I needed. They were so up-beat and positive and also kind and warm. And it made me feel hopeful that everything was going to be okay.

I can't thank PayPlan enough for their help. It is literally changing the trajectory of my life and that of my family's.

Sam Clubley was great!

Sam Clubley was so patient in understanding my worries and gave me a plan which I can afford.He included things like hairdressers , shoe shopping , clothes shopping which I have not even considered for months!! It brought me into tears as I felt for a long time I just can’t afford anything. Soon my plan will start and hoping I can smile again ;)

Great Service

Have only just got this up and running bit it feels like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. Hopefully will be debt free and able to get on with life. Andres has been very supportive at all times. Very patient and very understanding.

Very Smooth Experience for Debt Resolution

The team were empathic and non-judgemental and were fully dedicated to making a pretty daunting process as smooth as possible. I also thought Sheryl went over and above to answer questions I had and address any of my concerns. Excellent service, I would recommend it to anyone in need of help sorting their finances.

I made a phone call yesterday regarding a review due to some changes and Georgia day was absolutely brilliant and made the process to easy and smooth and done everything she could to help and get me to where I feel at a good head level again, would highly recommend.

Not impressed with the payplan website. Difficult for neurodivergent folks to navigate!

The conversation I had with the agent who called was very reassuring. But they sent a link to a website that I found difficult to comprehend. Information overload! Too much for stressed mind to take in. In every section, so much reading. I struggle with ADHD and I lack certain abilities. I'm more stressed about my debt than I was before I messed with this crap!

Disappointed

I am so disappointed. My payplan is now complete but I feel like I was not informed about things properly. Poor communication. I had to contact several creditors myself and send them the paperwork myself. They added lots of extra fees on my account for the postage but I had to do the work for them. Some of my accounts are still not closed due to their poor communication. I had several issues with communication with them when my payplan was active too. I would not recommend them.

response to your reply: I have provided you with everything that you asked for several times. Still waiting for your response regarding it. It has been a year now so all accounts should be updated. Please, call me before I complaint to the ombutsman

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear you’ve been left feeling disappointed, particularly after reaching such an important milestone.

It can take creditors up to three months to update their systems and close accounts fully – and some standard letters, such as arrears notices, may still be issued during that time due to legal requirements.

When you contacted us about continued creditor contact, we asked for specific account details so we could follow up on your behalf. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive the information needed to progress this. We also clarified that certain types of debt, such as secured loans, fall outside of your plan and are managed separately by the lender.

We’re still here to help and a member of the team will be reaching out directly to offer support and discuss anything else you might need.
