Osprey Bags...worth the cost, great warranty
Wanted to offer a big kudos to the good people at #OspreyPacks. After #americanairlines destroyed my luggage and then declined to replace it, I sent my bag back to #osprey in hopes of using their guarantee to repair/replace damaged bags. I was shocked when they told me they were shipping me a new one back...same make and model as the one that #americanairlines destroyed.
That is some incredible customer service and support of a product. You may pay a little more for the bag, but when your bag is destroyed and you need a company to follow through with a guarantee, you'll be really happy.
Amazing company
Amazing company. Their packs are brilliant and durable and will last your for decades.
Best backpack and life time warranty
Osprey is the best backpack and outdoors gear company, hands down: Their backpacks are super comfortable and well thought through. I have used their 85 litre pack for 20 years for serious mountaineering. Can easily carry 30kg+ without feeling it. Best of all, their customer service and life time warranty are really one of a kind. My 20 year old backpack has started showing signs of wear and tear and they replaced it with a new one, no questions asked. The only thing I wish is if they could expand into other product lines. We need more companies that produce high quality products and stand behind their warranties

Osprey stands behind their products!
I own and regularly use a few different Osprey packs. All are great for my varying needs. Light-weight, durable, comfortable. One smaller pack recently got a tear on the trail. It's understandable considering how much I've used the pack and though the pack was still usable, I decided to see if Osprey would honor the "All Mighty Guarantee". I was nervous because of how old the pack is and also due to the fact that I didn't have the receipt from the original purchase. Osprey really stood behind their guarantee by replacing my pack with a brand new one no questions asked. Not only that, but they were prompt to evaluate my pack and get a new one shipped at ZERO cost to me. Great company to stand behind their products with a promise like this.

Quasar 24/Seven series (old style)
Bought this bag several years ago having had an osprey bag before and liked it. I've used it daily going to and from work as a firefighter/paramedic i bring it with me on holidays. I have punished this bag and it's held up great the only sign of wear Is on the right shoulder strap and being right handed this is understandable. Two of the zipper tabs came off on the main compartment which I replaced with a bit of twine which works grand. I'm surprised how well this bag has held up to my constant harsh use. Will definitely buy again but probably won't be for a while as this bag is still going strong.
Did not deliver after almost a month
DPD lost my parcel , osprey have only responded to one email in a whole month. I am still waiting for a replacement parcel or refund of almost 400 pounds. They will not engage with me or the DPD courier , instead they expect the customer to do the chasing. It has taken hours of my time.
Do not buy
Annoying squeak when using, returned to shop for exchange which they kindly did, same thing happens so unusable. Will return for a refund. Osprey customer service quite unhelpful, they need to recall the back packs and check quality control (this happens on quite of few of their back packs. Would not recommend
Excellent customer service
The customer service could not have been more helpful and kind when my order was lost. It made such a difference. Thank-you Osprey.
Garbage
Garbage. Osprey packs are overpriced garbage. They used to be great but now they are trash. You're better off buying some cheap Temu/Amazon/Ali Express pack for one-sixth the price. Screw Osprey.
Poor Quality Lettering
Bought a Talon 22L in late April for a backpacking trip to Peru. Had the bag all of two weeks and the icons and lettering are gone, just wore off the bag. Company won't replace it or even take a look at it since I bought it in Canada, and there is no Canadian equivalent to send it to.
Horrible warrantee experience
Bought pack for friend spending the summer backpacking through Europe. Within the first two days, the bag came apart at the seams. She filled out a warranty claim asking for a replacement. Osprey said no replacement. They would fix it, but it would need to be with them for 10 business days. As a person literally traveling at the time, this obviously wouldn't work. She had to buy a new pack (Not Osprey again, that's for damn sure) so she can continue with her trip. They also suggested that since it was bought in NA, she should probably be getting it taken care of in the US. How messed up that? She had it less than a week, so obviously it was a defect., W.T.F. couldn't they just hand her a new one in Paris?
Poor quality
Bought a Sojourn wheeled travel bag for daughter heading out to Far East. Within a week zips have failed. Not so easy to return it from Cambodia! Thought I was buying a quality product from a reputable company-clearly not.

I will never buy a backpack from Osprey again.
The mesh water bottle holder disintegrated after about 8 years of use. Sent Osprey a repair request and received an email back telling me not to send my backpack to the US address contained in the aforementioned email.
The following is what I received and have heard nothing more.
"Repair Order Received
Hi Anthony,
We received your Osprey repair order. Before sending your Osprey product to us, please review the information here.
Please note: Fulfilling our commitment to you is as important to us as ever.
However, we are seeing a temporary impact on our ability to repair and return packs due to repair request volume and global supply chain challenges causing longer shipping times, higher prices and material shortages.
*Canadian Customers: Please do not ship to the US address below. regarding your warranty options."
Based on Osprey's response so far, I have no confidence in what they mean by, "We will contact you soon....."
The worst you can get
Literally the most expensive and the worst backpack at the same time I've ever had. The ventilation system doesn't work a bit and a 5 minute rain will destroy your electronics if you carry it their backpacks without using additional rain cover.
Terrible company and product
Terrible company and product, pack delaminated after a couple of years use, complained to Osprey, when they eventually replied, they said it was normal.
I have had packs from Aldi last longer.
Bag destroyed without prior notification
I have always loved my Osprey products and have a long-time favorite daypack that was almost ten years old when I sent it in for a few minor repairs (general wear and tear). I hadn't heard back for several weeks after they'd received it and emailed three times (over the next few weeks) before finally receiving a response. I was told that my bag had been unrepairable. I loved this bag, and still have used it without problems and assumed I would have been notified if I couldn't have it returned. Not the case - they had ALREADY destroyed my bag, without notifying me first. They are working with me to replace it with another similar model, which I appreciate. That said, I don't like any of them as much as the old one that really fit me perfectly. The only models that would be an improvement, for me, are "Pro" models that they won't replace this one with. I'm just really disappointed with the lack of communication and that they would destroy your bag without notifying you first, and then can't give you store credit or really provide the item you want instead. I would have preferred to have just had it returned, even without the repairs completed.

At first Osprey customer service responds by sending me the tracking number again. When I try again a few days later I am told to wait for a FedEx investigation. No further word, no refund, no order.
Lesson learned--next time I will buy at REI. Never again Osprey and never again directly from a manufacturer.
