Old & Rare Whisky Omdömen 

Was a little sceptical having read some of the reviews, but no problems encountered. Placed an order just before Christmas so was not expecting an immediate reply, and package arrived via DPD yesterday. The genuine article, well packaged, and securely sent...very happy with the all round service.

Best quality. I took the Hakushu 25 year old rare.
Highly recommend to everyone.

I have to make a comment and it is a good one.
I made a snap purchase for a Malt Whisky I was chasing and although it was expensive (no one forced me!) it was exactly what I wanted and so I dived in.
Within minutes the feedback was good and so I felt OK, I then started to read some reviews .. which are honest and frank.. but not all good, so I was a little concerned.
The bottle arrived within an amazingly short time but it was the wrong version... I started to get worried about internet sites BUT HOLD ON... what a great outcome.
I made immediate contact and they responded, we then worked on the exchange vis DPD at O&R expense and within a week of the first order as of today it is all resolved. In my experience that is well above experience I have had with major companies.
Yes there was a mistake but I believe that correcting mistakes quickly and satisfactorily is a sign of GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will shop again with confidence. Fianlly I sympathise with anyone who has had bad experience .. I believe you of course but this is my personal view to add some balance.

One star is too good for this company. I ordered 3 bottles of whisky, when they arrived one was the wrong product, one was leaking and one was in a very tatty box which had been squashed into the packaging. These were all for a collection so very disappointed. Phone number does not work and no replies to emails. I'm pretty sure the leaky bottle is not a genuine product so will hand over to Loch Lomond distillery to check it out. Please to not use this company!

Bells decanter Order never received that was due on the 5th of Jan. Emailed to be told it would be looked into and no responses to further emails. Have now had to had over to the fraud/ recovery team at my credit card provider to resolve the matter. First and last time of using this site which is a shame.

Ordered a nearly £200 bottle of Jura and received a £40 gift set with glasses. Took around 3 days to respond to emails and phone numbers don’t work. However, when they got in touch a refund was issued as the bottle wasn’t in stock and told to keep other bottle as a goodwill gesture; which was not expected. Need to sort out a contact phone number, but overall very happy with their service in this case and would use again.

Spent a few years searching for Redbreast Mano a Lamh and came across Old&Rare having two bottles of it which is insane and only 2000 bottles were produced back in 2015!

I'd used Old&Rare once before for a bottle of unique Jameson with no issue so I contacted them Via email and Facebook messenger to quirey them about their Mano a Lamh bottles, after a couple of days they responded back to me (this is no problem that they took some time as these guys have bottles worth tens of thousands of pounds) once we started speaking they sent me some pictures I'd requested of the Mano a Lamh to which I then started to barter with them.....

My offer was I'd buy both bottles if they give me a unique 15% off code and they did that no problem at all.

That was all on Friday (3 days ago) and this morning DPD arrived with my parcel well packaged and both bottles in immaculate condition.

Overall a very good quality service that I can't fault.

Dicided on a last minute order, probably wouldn't have if I'd had seen these reviews first.
But at 11:47 with next day delivery ending at 12pm I put an order in.
I did try to ring them several times as it said next day delivery on main page but only offered standard delivery on payment page but I got no answer.
So i risked it, exactly 24 hours at 11:50am my order has arrived this morning. A very slight scrape on the case but nothing major.
Overall a great service, very happy

Dodgy seller based out of a Glasgow Tenement. No communication or response to numerous emails and well overpriced. suspect goods. You have been warned.

Absolutely no customer care . Ordered had message to say was been delivered still not arrived after 10 days. DPD still awaiting parcel. 3 emails and no response from company. DO NOT USE

What a great company. Ordered a bottle of Nikka, which was then lost in transit.
Called in and the lovely people upgraded the bottle and got it to me for a Saturday morning. What a great company and amazing customer service, cannot recommend them enough.

Crap fake company that not even trying to finish your order or resolve the problem! Fake prices, fake advertising, all fake!
Avoid at all cost! Don't lose your time like me!

I bought a bottle of whisky from this Glasgow based company and it arrived with a 'tube' which had a considerable number of marks, dings and scrapes. As this is for a collection rather than just drinking, it's important to me that it should be in good condition. As an elderly gentleman living on a limited income, it was expensive enough for me and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a better quality product. When I told them about this problem on Friday 27 July 2018 (sending several photographs), they said they would send me a replacement tube when they got new stock in within the next two weeks. Unfortunately I didn't receive a tube, nor did I receive any word from the company. After having to chase them up again several times, I was then told that one was put aside for me on Friday 31 August and would be sent out to me on Monday 3 September. After 10 days had passed, I still had no tube and no word. I emailed them three times over the next few days but they didn't reply. At that point I said I would put a review on here and was then sent an email which told me they would look into it to see what had happened. That was on 14 September and I've since emailed them again a couple of times. Yet again they have just ignored me so, reluctantly, here's my review. It appears to me that they just want me to 'go away'. Of course worse things in life can happen and I'm not losing any sleep over it, however, in these times of fierce competition in the marketplace, it really is disappointing to encounter such extremely poor customer service. My issue isn't even so much about not having a decent 'tube' but more about the disrespect, deception and ultimate disregard which this company has afforded me in order, it seems, to avoid addressing an issue which, unless I'm seriously mistaken, shouldn't be very difficult to resolve.
So, buy from 'Old and Rare Whisky' of Glasgow and hope that your purchase arrives in acceptable condition, because if it doesn't, you might well face the same problems I've had.
