Octopus EV - leasing a car from Octopus has been a very straightforward and satisfactory experience for me so far. Needing to change my car at the end of its PCP, I took up the Octopus promotion March 2026, aimed mainly at bringing more people to EVs. Everything has been great so far - the car is in excellent condition, was delivered promptly, and the customer service has been first rate. I already had a home charger, which would have been included in the deal, so I've been given £800 of free charging on the public network instead. The telephone customer service could not have been more helpful, and contrasts strongly with that provided by other car finance organisations I have dealt with recently. All in all, excellent.

Had great communication throughout the whole experience. From day 1 of putting the order in, right up until a week after delivery , when the dropped me an email to see how everything was going. Great service.

Astonishingly poor experience from start to finish.
I don’t write negative reviews lightly, but this situation was so disappointing I felt I had no choice.
I ordered a Mercedes through Octopus in early January, after discussing everything with them in December and specifying an April delivery window to align with my current car going back. However, I then received three separate emails, two from Octopus and one from the dealer stating a delivery timeframe of February to March.
Shortly after placing the order, I checked the pricing online and saw the same car was now over £30 per month cheaper than what I had signed up for. When I queried this, I was told the price couldn’t be changed and that I would need to cancel and reorder, with a new delivery date of September. Not exactly what I’d call good customer service.
A week ago, having heard nothing further, I contacted Octopus again only to be told the car hadn’t even been ordered and the new expected delivery was July. This left me in a situation where my current car was due back in just 10 days.
After submitting a formal complaint to their CEO and going back and forth for a week, the only alternative available for delivery in 10 days was an Audi. A different car, lower spec, but for the same monthly cost. No offer of a reduced payment.
As a gesture of goodwill, they offered £200 towards my energy bill which was quite frankly insulting given the circumstances. I declined.
I won’t be ordering another car through them and I would strongly advise others to be cautious before doing so.

I’ve recently got a Renault 5 Techno (52kWh) through the Octopus Energy salary sacrifice scheme, and overall it’s been a really positive experience.
The whole process was straightforward from start to finish. The pricing is very competitive, especially considering it includes pretty much everything (insurance, maintenance, tyres, etc.), which takes a lot of the stress out of running a car.
A big thanks to Jack, who was really helpful throughout — always quick to respond and made everything easy to understand.
