Oakleafe were responsible for the handling of my escape of water claim. It was a large claim with a complete restoration of the property. With their poor handling, lack of communication and lack of liaising with the contractors/surveyors etc that they themselves have appointed and instructed, they have left me in a huge mess with extremely poor work done, and no resolutions. The surveyor has been trying to fix this with Oakleafe’s directions, with Oakleafe ignoring the surveyor. They also do not want to take any responsibility or accountability. I will let the ombudsman handle it from here. I now have the surveyor contacting me to personally fix this on my behalf. I would not recommend letting this company handle your claim. You are better finding a more professional company, or just doing it yourself with some research.

EDIT: Oakleafe are lying in their reply to this review - I would like to see where they have offered to assist me in this process and where I have declined any assistance. I have been begging for assistance for 6 months. Also, I did NOT choose the surveyor, Oakleafe appointed them!!!! And this surveyor has told me Oakleafe are ignoring him! Unbelievable lies. In terms of their numerous contact attempts to me, they have tried to call me twice only YESTERDAY- it’s much too late now to be acting the advocate for me. Whoever is replying to this review doesn’t have a clue about my case and as usual, trying to move away from any sort of accountability.

I had a meeting with Dennis on the 20/06/2024. The advice, professionalism and reassurance he gave us, was good, as we have had a major flood damage and has been a very stressful time for us.

Dean was fantastic help after my claim was rejected by insurers. One of my properties suffered a large escape of water and my insurers refused to pay. I had the pleasure of working with Oakleafe Claims and Loss Assessor, particularly with Abbas Khan, during a challenging time with my insurance claim against Davies Group's loss adjusters. I cannot commend Abbas and the Oakleafe team highly enough for their exceptional service and dedication.

From the outset, Abbas demonstrated an impressive level of professionalism and expertise. He took the time to listen attentively to my concerns and understand the complexities of my claim. What stood out most was Abbas's unwavering commitment to advocating for my best interests. Despite facing difficult hurdles with Davies Group's loss adjusters. Thank you for achieving the best possible outcome for us.

My home flooded on the 22nd January 2024, I am currently writing this review in May 2024, the only difference between these dates is the fact my house now has no flooring but is still uninhabitable. I was homeless for nearly 3 months as Oakleafe and Royal and Sun Alliance (our insurers) played back and forth over finding me somewhere to live, I ended up spending nights on sofas of friends and eventually travelling down to stay with my father 200 miles away as I had no where to go. I was told they couldn't find me a hotel that would take my dogs and myself so "could I put them elsewhere". I eventually organised renting a property privately with assurance I would be reimbursed the 6months of rent I had paid upfront, which took over a month from the initial agreement to pay it. I have a half furnished house because I still haven't received reimbursement to replace the furniture I need to live. Oakleafe have, at every turn, delayed, deflected, blamed RSA, their lack of staff or any other barely substantial reasoning to excuse their shambolic handling of this claim. They are barely reachable via phone or email, and do not apparently have robust work practices in place to manage a small domestic claim despite being a high profile company handling much larger, national press attention recieving claims. We were given a 5 month estimated timeframe, there has been no movement on the damaged property, it still has damp floors, walls, and insulation which is now mouldy, and this is 4 months on from the initial flood. Despite making repeated complaints, to both their regional branch and head office, we have received only verbal apologies with no actionable follow through. Do not engage this company to handle claims on your behalf, we have been advised that we cannot speak directly to RSA to establish who is at fault for the delays or even where our claim stands as we would be in breach of our contract with Oakleafe. My entire life has been completely upended, with no timeline for when I will be back home, or have thousands of pounds worth of furniture replaced. I cannot stress the disappointment and dismay at how this has been mishandled and the strain it has put on me and my family. Having read the responses to negative reviews from the company, leaving this review is a last ditch effort to receive a reasonable and clear response from Oakleafe regarding this situation as I feel like I have no alternative avenue left.

Oakleafe were invaluable in supporting us through the claim process after a major fire destroyed our business premises. We would not have been able to manage the claim without them, a special thank you to Holly for all your help and advice during an extremely stressful few months. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone else in a similar position, I thought I would be able to 'do it myself' but it would have made it even more stressful so I am glad I left it to the experts at Oakleafe.
