Big thumbs up from us for Property Claims Assist. Our house was flooded to a depth of 2 foot for 48 hours in the depths of winter. Nightmare situation but to have someone on your side who knows their way around insurance claims and who responds instantly with advice and support at any time has been a godsend. All the stress of communication with the insurance company was dealt with by Property Claims Assist, including three complaints that were upheld, and nothing has been too much trouble.
We received every penny of our claim and a refurbished house which we are now refurnishing.
If we had a similar problem again, would we go to Property Claims Assist? You bet we would!

I would like to leave a grateful review about Simon and Tom’s services in our very difficult case.
In January 2025, a disaster happened—my son’s house was severely damaged by a huge fire caused by illegal activities carried out by tenants in his buy-to-let property. The 2 floors and the roof were completely destroyed. The stairs, windows, and entrance door were blown away.
After four months, the insurance company paid only enough to rebuild the roof, and the case was then closed.
When Simon Colburn offered to help us make a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, we couldn’t believe it was possible. However, we had nothing to lose, so we agreed.
To be honest, we didn’t believe any money could be recovered. We had already asked our friends to lend us money for the renovation. My son still had to pay his mortgage, so we desperately needed to rent the property out again as soon as possible. It was a very difficult 10 months—we used all our credit cards, and our friends were patiently waiting to be repaid. Tom kept us regularly updated, although at times I felt we were waiting in vain.
I refinanced my property in order to pay off debts, and eventually we managed to prepare the house for renting again.
Then a miracle happened. Tom asked us to send details of our renovation expenses—the ice was finally broken!
Tom Butcher worked tirelessly on our case, and now we are able to repay almost all of our debts. Justice prevailed because people like Tom exist.

I got in touch with Property Claim Assist (PCA), when I was fed up in dealing with the insurer and their associate loss adjuster, as there were significant delays at their end, even to initiate the basic drying process. Once the initial agreement with PCA was completed, Gary helped mobilisation of their associate team quickly to strip off the carpet and initiate the thorough drying process across the property. He took the control in dealing all matters with insurer in getting the reinstatement work progressed and delivered the property back to us without further delays. Thanks Gary and team for your promptness and timely support.
Having said that, I should mention a few words of admonition. The loss adjuster contacted both Gary and I expressing their willingness to initiate the carpet reinstallation work. Whilst I missed the email, I didn't expect Gary as a service provider would miss as well. This turned out to be a considerable delay in getting the carpet work done, thereby loss at our end, incurring two months of rent not being paid by the insurer. Probably Gary and team might have lost the track of progress as per the plan, that needs improving at his team's end.
Apart from this I have absolutely no complaints against the initiative Gary took to help us out in o e of the most trying g moments of our life. I am very grateful to him for this humane touch in service.i would highly recommend Gary to anyone who seeks similar service.

Mums cottage was flooded in October 2023 at the time she was 89, I contacted Claim Assist and spoke to Simon and appointed them to sort the claim out, from the word go he kept me updated every step of the way offering lots of help and positivity, the insurance company were absolutely useless and there loss adjuster even worse considering mum was 89 they couldn’t care a less thank goodness Simon understood the insurance industry and was on our side, who went above and beyond to assist me with mums insurance claim
It would have taken so much longer if I had it to do myself, I am not sure how anyone would cope without a loss assessor in this scenario
he even got mum a considerable cash payout for all the mistakes and time wasting the insurance company put us through, if we were claiming ourselves I am sure this wouldn’t have happened,
I would recommend anyone faced with a major claim to engage with Property Claim Assist
the whole process has been just amazing

In December 2025 our lives were turned upside down with severe floods. We received a knock at the door from an employee of Property Claim Assist called Liam. From the first interaction Liam was professional but incredibly empathetic. He took time to understand our situation and went above and beyond and returned with a case of water for us as the water was out of use. If I had not been so silly to cancel my insurance policy to save a few quid leading up to Christmas I would certainly use these, Liam didn't walk away after I told them that we have not go insurance, he contacted someone he works with and arranged a meeting with a broker for me. Now I am fully covered and can relax knowing if this happens again, thanks to Liam & Kris

When a burst pipe caused a flood in my village cricket club pavilion Property Claim Assist were recommended by a relative of one of our committee. When I spoke to Simon and he outlined the service his company offered I explained that it sounds great but as a small club we could not afford such a service. He explained that it would not cost the club and from that moment he took over negotiations with the insurers and arranged for all necessary trades to attend. At the outset I was really worried that we would not get full reinstatement but the work has now been completed to a very high standard and we are delighted. We had a major house fire and it’s been devastating, then we got into these guys and I must admit that the whole process has been just amazing. They’ve been looking after us all the way through, each claim with the insurance has been quick and fair, always acted professionally and with care. It would have taken so much longer if I had it to do myself while working, therefore I absolutely suggest people who are in the unfortunate situation of having house fire or things like that to get advice and help from Property Claim Assist. Three to four years after getting Gary Rodgers and Property Claim Assist involved with our claim,I'm now in a position to leave an honest review about our experience with them. We put in a claim with our insurance company for ongoing damages affecting our shared building. After three years of the adjusters dragging their feet and acting very slowly, I found Gary and PCA. We have never used a loss assessor before, but with all the well described five star reviews and all that they claim to do on their website, we thought they would be just what we needed. The first thing we were asked to do was sign a contract giving them all the rights to our claim and the rights to negotiate on our behalf. For the first few months things were going well with emails going back and forth between them and our insurance company. The last email sent by PCA simply said...Any update ? and that was some time ago. Our experience with Gary and PCA has been shocking and totally unprofessional to say the least. They have NOT negotiated on our behalf, they have NOT kept us updated with what's going on and they simply stopped doing anything for us a long time ago. Just out of professional courtesy, an email to say they couldn't continue with our case would have put us in the picture and let us know where we stand. I have asked on numerous occasions for an update but with no reply. They asked to call me during my work hours which as a nurse just isn't possible and when I gave alternative times to talk, they would just say its not convenient. The stress and sleepless nights experienced with our case which is in its eighth year has been incredibly challenging to say the least, but all Gary and this company have done is add to that and we feel incredibly let down by their actions. All the well written, detailed five star reviews should have been the first red flag. Signing the contract should have been the second, especially and even to this day,Gary has not come to our property to look and introduce himself. If loss assessors do what they say they do then we need companies like this to fight in our corner, but make sure you do your research and actually meet these people face to face and don't trust a company who only have five star reviews, will not come on site or give you email updates as to what's going on with your claim.

Thank you for your reply, although I am a little shocked by it. We did not request that you withdraw. We found out you'd stopped working on our case when we hadn't heard from you in eighteen months and I'd asked for some advice and got no reply. We now know that it was because you "Couldn't influence the outcome, due largely to the limited control you had over the process". If you'd told us that we would've at have least known were we stood. Multiple site visits ? When, because we never saw you. 200 emails advocating on our behalf ? Really ,because again we never saw them. Come on now, if it is important to act with integrity and transparency as you say, then please at least be honest and, keep your customers updated so they know where they stand as fighting an insurance claim is stressful enough. I'm sure you do a great job in some cases when acting on peoples behalf but for us this was not the case at all.
