Guaranteed delivery before Christmas was false promise. Then instead of actual refund they offered $15 store credit which is useless since I won't use them again.

Customer Service is non-existent. I had an issue with a gift I purchased not being delivered timely. The CS rep told me to contact the post office. I explained that this was their job and would you please escalate to a manager - and nothing was done. They just didn't care. In summary, if you order from them, you might get it and you might not. I never will again.

I buy almost all my gift items from NOVICA, and have for over 15 years. I have always been absolutely delighted with the pieces, the packaging, and the shipping. I especially love the sterling silver jewelry from all of the regions. One of my latest gifts for a best friend was a jewelry roll from India with earrings from Bali. I also have tableware, furniture, and decor items which are unique and beautiful. Novica is simply the best.

I have been shopping with NOVICA for years. I have been very pleased with most of my items. They are always packed well and come with a sweet note from the artist. I love giving items as gifts as well. Sometimes, there could be a small delay with shipping since they come from all over the world, but they have always found a solution. I appreciate a company that takes responsibility for shipping.

My first way of communication with Novica was via e-mail on August 25th, after the first failed delivery attempt by UPS, when they tried to collect Charges on Delivery, including HST. That’s when I realized my shipment had not been processed as a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) order, even though that was the delivery method and purchase terms I agreed to at checkout, and Novica had already collected HST from me.
Since then, the situation has only gone downhill. They have done absolutely nothing to resolve the issue, and now they are even ghosting me. Rebecca stopped responding to my e-mails on August 27th, so I called today (August 29th). The agent told me a manager would call me back within half an hour, as my case was something only a manager could handle. That call never came. When I tried again, I was immediately hung up on — twice — without even a hello. I also reached out via Facebook Messenger, and again, no response whatsoever.
Mind you, I have been nothing but respectful and as tolerant as I can be, while watching UPS continue to make delivery attempts throughout the week because the option to hold the package at my local branch was not available for my shipment. As a result, my fragile ceramic packages continued to circulate unnecessarily. Today, UPS finally registered their attempt as the final attempt, and the next step indicated in the system is Return to Sender.
Yet, I have not received a single update from Novica as to what they are doing with UPS to ensure I receive my already-paid items under the terms agreed at checkout. From my perspective, the lack of action so far seems to suggest Novica actually wants my items returned to them. Perhaps having the items returned is less expensive than fixing the mistake they likely made (i.e., paying the fees due to UPS so I can receive my purchases). If UPS were truly the one at fault, I suspect this would have already been resolved and Novica would not be ghosting me.
This is stressful, completely avoidable, and unacceptable. At this point, Novica’s silence makes it feel like they are simply waiting for my packages to be returned rather than honoring our purchase agreement and resolving the matter. Customers deserve far better communication and accountability. Obviously, I do not recommend buying from Novica. Perhaps the items they sell are beautiful (I wouldn’t know!), but if things go wrong, this is the kind of lack of accountability and support you can expect from this company. Completely disgraceful.

I have purchased from Novica twice. The first purchase - two scarves - was shipped within a reasonable period of time. The scarves were low quality, probably not silk (as advertised), and neither of them held up for more than a few wearings - which is very unusual for scarves, as they don't get hard use.
But I like the idea of helping indigenous people who are trying to earn a living, so I made another purchase. That purchase was an alpaca poncho that was shipped from a US location. It took two weeks to arrive. The item is nice enough - okay, but nothing special - and I don't have high hopes that it will last much longer than those scarves.
In the final analysis, I think buying from Novica should be viewed as making a charitable donation (without the tax write-off) and getting a souvenir in return. But if you're looking for good quality handmade items, you're going to be disappointed.

I sent 4 emails and left a voicemail and never received a response. I bought a carved box from them off Amazon. The box was okay, decent looking but overpriced in my opinion as it was almost $200. it came with a little key. I lost the key when I moved and reached out to see if I could buy a replacement key off them and never heard back. Again, 4 emails! All received the below email confirmation.

Novica offers such unique items at great prices (I mainly buy sterling silver jewelry from Bali and felted wool ornaments from around the world). I have never been disappointed. I probably have 20-30 items and may be addicted to this site. If duplicate pictures show up on a discount site, they probably were stolen off Novica's site. You can definitely trust Novica.

Ich habe dort einmal eingekauft, das lief alles gut und die bestellte Ware war ok. Jetzt werde ich aber seit Wochen ständig mit Emails von Novica zugespamt, obwohl ich gleich nach der ersten Email den Newsletter komplett abbestellt habe. Ich habe jetzt mehrmals versucht, alle Emails komplett abzubestellen, sei es über den "Unsuscribed" Button oder durch diverse Emails an den Novica Kundendienst. Dies scheint aber einfach nicht zu funktionieren bzw. irgendjemand dort zu interessieren. Ich bin einfach nur noch genervt.

There was excellent communication all thru the shipping process. I received regular updates on when I could expect to receive the 2 sweaters I ordered.
Also, the quality of the sweaters was superb. Attention was paid to every detail in the manufacture of each sweater. They are expensive, but I have a feeling that I'll have these sweaters for many years.

The checkerboard-faceted 2.5 carat stone is truly unique & I anticipate many many compliments from my friends!! It's beautiful & I am just thrilled that I get to wear it!!!

I purchased earrings from Novica. They are even prettier than the picture on the Novica site. The quality is excellent. Using the links sent by Novica, I was able to track the package and know exactly when it would arrive. I liked that I didn't have to guess at the arrival or worry if it would arrive. I love that I was able to treat myself and help a talented artist in India.

Wonderful products and awesome customer service! They have beautiful clothing and jewlery; I've purchased many things for my wife from them. They also have incredibly helpful customer service. For example, I received two items of clothing for my wife and didn't get around to giving them to her for several months. They turned out to be too large (my fault) and I figured it was too late to exchange them. However, I called and they were incredibly helpful and worked with me to exchange them for the correct sizes. I will most definitely continue to shop with them.

The Magic Portal sterling silver ring, by Eka Devi, Indonesia, is extraordinary. I fought with myself for a year over purchasing Magic Portal. I finally gave in. It was on back order---8 weeks--- but so worth the wait. The silverwork is delicate and lovely. The moonstone is clear and sparkling, the design is appealing. The overall effect is beautiful. My wife wanted some earrings from Novica that were $44. I happened to do a reverse search for them and found the exact some ones on Aliexpress for $2. I reverse searched another pair that were $80 on Novica and they were 99 cents on Aliexpress. They even used the same photos on both sites.
