🚨 AVOID THIS GARAGE — TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE 🚨
I honestly wish I had never purchased a vehicle from this garage.
I purchased the car on 27 August but couldn't collect it until 2 September. The vehicle didn't require any work and hadn't even been valeted, so I was left wondering what caused the delay in the first place.
At the time of purchase, I was given a three-month warranty and was told that if I left three positive reviews on different websites, the warranty would be extended to six months.
That alone should have raised alarm bells. In hindsight, I find it extremely concerning that positive reviews were being incentivised with an extended warranty. Genuine customer reviews should speak for themselves.
I had the vehicle for exactly TWO WEEKS before it broke down.
I then had to arrange for the vehicle to be recovered from Manchester back to Blackburn, at considerable inconvenience. I was told the vehicle would be inspected within 48 hours.
The car was returned to the garage on Wednesday afternoon. By Friday afternoon, when I called for an update, I was told that the inspection would actually take 48 WORKING HOURS.
At this point, I contacted my finance company and started the process of rejecting the vehicle.
Since then, the customer service has been appalling.
I have repeatedly called the garage and sent emails asking whether the inspection report has been completed. My calls are not being returned and my emails are not being answered.
I even asked for the details of the company director and was told that they "didn't know who that was."
Seriously?
My vehicle has now been sitting at the garage for over a week, while my finance company is also chasing them for the inspection report. Despite this, there has been no meaningful communication whatsoever.
Meanwhile, I purchased this vehicle because I needed it for a new job. I am now paying finance, insurance and road tax on a vehicle that I cannot drive.
I was advised that the garage should not carry out any work on the vehicle and should instead provide the inspection report to my finance company so that the rejection can be dealt with.
The complete lack of communication has made an already stressful situation even worse.
The whole experience has been incredibly disappointing, from the unnecessary delay before collection, to the vehicle breaking down after just two weeks, to the lack of communication and failure to provide the inspection report.
This is not the level of service I expected when purchasing a vehicle from a professional garage.
If you're considering buying a vehicle from this garage, DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST. Based on my experience, I certainly wouldn't purchase from them again.
AVOID.

I recently purchased a car from this dealership after seeing it advertised online. When I initially made enquiries, I was told the vehicle was at another compound, so I was accompanied by a member of staff to view and test drive it. I was happy with the car and was reassured that it would be prepared and MOT’d before collection.

One of the specific assurances I was given was that the clutch would be replaced because a cheap clutch had apparently been fitted to the vehicle the previous year. Based on those assurances, I paid a deposit and proceeded with the purchase.

Unfortunately, the day before collection, I called the dealership for an update and was told that the clutch had not been replaced as promised. Instead, I was told that I would receive a six-month warranty should the clutch need replacing in the future.

When I arrived on the Saturday, I raised my concerns. I have to be honest and say that I felt pressured and, at times, uncomfortable with the way the conversation went. When I asked reasonable questions about the legitimacy of the warranty, whether there was an excess, and why I had nothing in writing confirming it, I was asked whether I had “been sodomised recently” because I was being mistrusting. I found this comment inappropriate and unnecessary, particularly when I was simply trying to understand what I was being offered.

There was also an issue with taxing the vehicle. Because the transaction took place on a Saturday afternoon, I was told that I needed to have the car taxed, but the Post Offices were closed and I was unable to do it online or over the phone. I was also told somebody was supposed to have contacted me the day before regarding this, but I received no such call. I remain confused about why I was expected to arrange tax at that point, given that the purchase had not been completely finalised and I had not yet collected the vehicle.

The car itself is not bad, and for the money I paid, I think it is potentially a good purchase. However, there is now a clutch-related issue, with a smell that is recognisable as clutch-related. I am hoping it turns out to be something minor, but given the previous discussions about the clutch, understandably I am concerned.

I was also told that I needed to leave a Google review and a Trustpilot review in order to receive the warranty. I appreciate that may sound unusual to anyone reading this, and it certainly did to me. I am therefore hoping that this review is received in the spirit in which it is intended and that the dealership honours what was agreed.

I want to be fair: I can clearly see that this is a successful business and that they make a lot of customers happy. I actually chose to use them because they had been recommended to me by a family member. I also hope that my interpretation of the way I was spoken to was simply a misunderstanding, although the words themselves were definitely said.

I have tried to keep this review as objective and factual as possible rather than writing it purely from an emotional perspective. Ultimately, I hope the dealership contacts me, clarifies the warranty, and honours the commitment that was made regarding the vehicle.

I would be very happy to update this review if the situation is resolved positively.

ABSOLUTELY POOR COMMUNICATION PUT A DEPOSIT DOWN ON A CAR AT THE BEGINNING OF JULY WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE READY THE WEEK AFTER, TO THEN BE TOLD IT WASNT READY AND NEEDED REPLACING A SENSOR. NOT A PROBLEM THESE THINGS HAPPEN. I WAS IN CONTACT NONE STOP AFTER WEEK BY WEEK WITH THE SAME STORY. I THEN WENT ON HOLIDAY ON THE 1ST AUGEST AND DECIDED TO JUST ENJOY MY HOLIDAY ON THE 7TH I DECIDED TO REACH OUT AND GOT TOLD THE EXACT SAME STORY. REECE WAS AUFUL AND LIED THROUGH OUT OUR CHATS, THEIR WAS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH THE CAR AND NEVER TOLD US UNTILL LAST DAY OF COMMUNICATION. I WOULD SERIOUSLY THINK BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY, SO CALLED BUISNESS

Buyer please Beware with North West Auto Ltd.
Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend North West Auto Ltd company if you value good customer service and attention to detail. The car sales representative Reece defrauded me by taken £199.00 deposit for a car. When I went to test drive the vehicle, it turned out to same some the day I test drive and I Unwind the car, They are are saying they will not refund my deposit. They are saying that I signed a paper which I don't even have the copy of the documents. They are trying to defrauded me and, I will be complaining to Trading Standards about this fraud.
I already email them for a full refund.

Travelled to view a car which they went out of their way to ensure it was onsite and available for viewing which was hugely appreciated and time consuming for them. The customer service was excellent from start to finish, very obliging and friendly. Showroom had a really good range of vehicles. I would highly recommend to all.

Easy from start to finish -recently very helpful couldn't be happier

I was looking for my first car and saw a honda jazz with North West Autos. It had very low mileage and sounded perfect. I went to see it with my mum, it wasn't at the show room as it hadn't been valeted but he said we could see it. We were left to look around the car and there was no pressure to buy. We loved the car and left a deposit. One week later it had been valeted and an MOT done. Buying was quick, straightforward and easy. A pleasure to do business with.
