useless app constantly having to use codes to login, and if I dont want to share my personal information it won't let me sign in so I won't use anymore nhs useless

App only good for ordering repeat prescriptions. They connacted me through the app to book a flu jab appointment. Selected time slot and surgery.Said appointment booked. Went on app to remind me when it was (time). It was not in appoints only shows appointments after I have had them. Never got a text reminder so guess it was never booked so never went. We use it for repeats as that appears to work. But will ignore the rest.

This app is putting lives at risk, it is absolutely terrible. We've ordered a repeat prescription for life saving medication and turned up at the chemist to pick it up. We were told that no request for repeat prescription had been submitted (which it most definately was, a week ago!!!) and now my partner has to go without his prescription for at least a week as it has to be processed again. Is that even legal in the medical world? to leave someone without life saving medication due to the disorganisational chaos of their app? When he doesn't have his medication he literally cannot breathe. It didn't seem to worry the pharmacist. This is also NOT the first time this has happened - the app is not only utterly useless and a waste of tax payer money, but it is dangerous and putting patient lives at risk. Shameful.

I can't use the app because i don't have photo I D and i will not be bullied by the government. I have no intention of wasting money on a passport or driving license that i will never use and the national identity card is impossible to get without a professional persons signature that i can't get. There is no way to get round this and the 'help' people just say there's nothing they can do about it and it's my problem not theirs. It's just discrimination.

I do not normally write reviews. This app is so appalling that I make an exception. How on earth is taxpayer money being allowed to be spent on such badly written software. Write to your MP to complain. Ask how much it has cost so far. How much more will it cost to fix. This app is just not fit for its purpose.

Absolutely useless everytime tried to login didn't want to know even put in my password e.g 😡 some people have problems. Absolutely nothing to do with any staff at doctors or hospital staff thank you for them trying to help

Can't use it...a hopeless waste of time and money.

Because one item on my repeat prescription was out of stock I have been unable to get it since. The app just takes you round in circles. Can't make an appointment or send a message to the surgery. It is just appalling.

Absolutely useless app trying to log in with correct details is enough to make you ill going around in circles with pass key then one time codes then it locks you out . Complain and they ask for a screen shot . Plus more info They are getting paid to manage the app not me just make it work

Horrible app

Waste of space. Such a long winded registration process and constantly declines photos of passport despite being perfectly legible. Use a human instead of some stupid AI
Waste of taxpayers money as usual

This is a joint review for the NHS app and MyCare app (which I cannot find separately on Trustpilot). Both are disappointing for different reasons. With the NHS app I keep coming up against a brick wall, mainly because nearly every feature just says that my GP surgery does not use this option. It is useful for linking to a pharmacy for getting repeat prescriptions. When I get an alert for a message I can go straight to it, trying to find the same message later is almost impossible.

For the MyCare app through UCLH, they add all of your test results without any context and you cannot get hold of anyone to discuss your next steps. I feel that this is quite irresponsible, as many people will just research their results online and find the worst case scenario. Even just a dropdown menu that has options like: 'check up in 6 months' or 'being referred to another department' etc. that could be used by the person clearing the test for adding to the app would be helpful. Being left in the dark is stressful and I wish that I had never accessed the MyCare app.

These are ongoing issues - not just for the date we have to add for the review.

If a repeat prescription needs to be reviewed before being issued it simply does not appear in the NHS app to allow you to request the review and issue. Instead you have to phone the GP and bother them with it. This is a massive oversight and just total incompetence by whoever created the app. How much has the NHS wasted on this crap?

It is acceptable. It links in with some hospitals but not others. You can see your medical history but only going back a few years. I wish the test results had "plain english" descriptions on top of the medical ones. Just for better navigation. The App is after all for for patients. I think if improved it does have potential.

The nhs app is ok for ordering repeat prescriptions. It falls down terribly when you're forced to use Patients Know Best to view your own medical test results and appointments.
It doesn't print the whole form, it omits the important parts that you need.
Blood tests do not even appear on it.
If blood results are not on the GP section of the nhs app you do not get your test results at all.
I now think patients do know best so they don't bother with it. That just about sums it up.
PS. All the extra codes sent to your phone to log you in and it's difficult to find out how to log out. Great security.... not.

It probably on of the worst apps I have ever used. Its like it been designed to deliberately keep you away from the NHS. for eaxmpme the menu options are not intuitive i. the least say for example you want a repeat of a short term medication after surgery. not a chance. Eforms to request or send info to the surgery are ardisabled out of hours, If you ring the surgery they basically tell you to use the apo to make an appointment (best of luckfilling that form in. Medical records that were there now are not so you have to go to surgery to get i fo fo4 insruance for exampme.. the list goes on. Well at least you can occadionally order anrepeatnprescription . its a bleddy Joke.

I got repeated texts andcemails about a routine appointment change. They all demanded I install the NHS app to see details.

As other users have mentioned, that was a pain. Repetitive screens asking for the same information. Also, is an email and a password really secure enough ? Even Amazon does 2FA.

When I got it open, the winfow is half the size of the phone screen. You need constant scrolling to find anything. Worse, when you find a document it is TINY! Teensy print inside this small window. To read it I zoomedvin, but then you can only see a few words at a time.

Didn't they test this?

like other users very frustrated with the app I was on a referral for an urgent op -at first the referral was on the app along with the letter of referral however they both went off the app at the time of a view by Streeting....I queried with consultants secretary and was put back on ...when the health secretary did another review of waiting lists I was took off again. To cap it all I found out that one of the consultants to whom I was referred was busy with private ops the other arrested for taking patient and colleagues credit card details to go on a spending spree!!!! My GP recently according to the NHS PKB app had tried to contact me so I rang back on number provided by the app and after trying numerous times with phone ringing out without answer I consulted Google and contacted theGP practice secretary who informed me that the number I had obtained from the app was the previous number and she did not know how to rectify it so I reported the problem on the apps feedback only to find that after typing it all out the feedback did not appear to go through..I am still waiting for the op after first being diagnosed in 2019 and upgraded to urgent in 2024.Surely the app was designed to help but in practical terms too many errors with no grip the health secretary needs to sort Dare I say at least this app hides the real waiting lists and keeps patients occupied going round in circles until they just give up
