National Tyres and Autocare - Denton Omdömen 32

Cracking group of lads Anthony, John & Frank at Denton would defo use again and will use again. These are my local lads I was passing through and needed a battery urgently. I used to use the same garage years ago all the time when I lived in Denton about 10 years ago. It has now changed hands and Halfords run /own it.

Had some battery issues on my small commercial van (had it 7 months no issues) with me having to jump start it the day earlier. The guy who had it before me had fitted a normal car battery on it and this wasn't;t the correct type I was advised (which was correct).

Took it to Denton (used to be national tyres) & the guys fixed me up decent. We fitted a larger - the correct type battery - first off but it wouldn't register but after messing about with it traced it down to a faulty earth main cable that needed stripping back.

Cracking lads really helped me out to no end and got me going again. Thanks again lads really appreciate you staying late and messing about with my van on that dark cold Thursday last minute.

10.10 impeccable service and a credit to the service station.

NB for other future customers / users in my non-biased review please bear in my mind that:

- These are lads are mainly fitters first and do what they can with the available equipment, knowledge and availability at what they can do at their disposal.

Halfords are generally not highly trained 'coverall' mechanics / engineers to the best of my knowledge.

So in light of this if there are negative reviews on here -

its probably because someone wanted a full engine rebuild using matchsticks for 2p. It doesn't work like that with Halfords service centres.

For what there job description expects of them in my experience they go above and beyond to help out.

Booked a car service online. Opted for earliest possible drop off (8.30)
Said I needed car by 3pm.
Guy chased after me trying to sell me ‘oil flush’ for extra £20. I declined.
They phoned me at 1.30 to say car would not be ready, waiting for air filter.
I phoned at 3 to say I would pick up.
Got there 3.30 Car still in same position I left it 71/2 hours earlier!!
With no work done whatsoever!
I cancelled the service immediately snd drove off.
Dreadful stuff.
Update: I emailed the CEO directly. Same day the Area Manager called me to apologise and rebook service at half price. Good outcome for all.

The tyres are fine but it took 2 hours to fit them.

Phoned for information and was given excellent advice about ordering and discount code now waiting for fitting at local center.

Booked the fitting of a tyre yesterday as I needed to drive over to Yorkshire tomorrow. When I get to National Tyres I'm informed that the tyre hasn't been delivered. I was told they would call me when it came in but I was given no idea when that would be. Denton is about four miles from where I live so I wasn't able to leave my car. I booked the tyre fitting in good faith and when I booked I was told the tyre would be in stock.

Placed an order for two new tyres a week in advance, and booked the day off work. I turn up for my appointment and my tyres haven’t arrived in store for fitting… I am fuming ! ! !

Site was so easy to use and full of information about the tyre selections.
On phoning the shop to as if they could swap over tyres rear to front they answered within 5 rings and assured me that there would be no issues.
The booking process was also so easy to follow.

It makes life easier to get the parts you needed with interest free... I have use it before this my second time higly recommend 👌 👍

This is so complicated

Good service and only took half an hour longer the first told, ? On the tyre pressure I found them to be over inflated 36 Psi not the recommended 32 Psi, but apart from this everything's fine.
