Ongoing incompetence from Braintree's branch of National Tyre- had my front brakes and disks replaced in early November - came away after 9 hours of sloppy service with a noise emitting from new install. Had to take my car to a professional garage recently to fix it
They found that National Tyre had fitted discs/ pads on top of the backing heat shield which was fouling, giving the noise - not only could they not fit the job when it was booked in for 08.00hrs, nine hours later it came away with a fault
They also didn't fit brake fluid cap properly it turns out, the good garage found that it was leaking fluid, they topped up and refitted correctly
I note below National Tyre has made a reply asking for order number - both order number and dates were inserted into the original review
Its clear that National Tyres have that many complaints regards mal service practices and lengthy but faulty brake pads/discs issues that they cannot discern my issues with them
A ford focus booked into October / November, both on a saturday and for service and brakes - may other customers are clearly complaining that they cannot find my history amongst all the other client complaints
Is this were you want to be ?????????? Its your money, you choice - but make your choice failsafe, informed an dcost effective that it doesn't need another garage to correct their issues
Had a full service recently, told that spark plugs needed replacement due to mileage - not so, only got 14000 on them, life approx 30000. When I got it home and looked, found no evidence of removing any spark plug at all for inspection - not witness spanner marks, tightness of plugs had to be cracked, no dirt cleaned off any contact point - they simply hadn't removed a spark plug to inspect - yet any one could be fooled to then spend £122 for new plugs that are not needed.
I followed through with front brake pads and disks - told to get car in for 08.00 to get ahead - leaving me the afternoon to carry on my day - 7 hours later, 3pm in the afternoon it was completed - 7 hours to change brake pads
When I also raised issue with not checking plugs=, a pid for service within the full service list, I was told, they don't take out any plugs to look ? - how can they tell the plugs needed recommended change without taking at least one out ??
Not a reliable garage at all. No manager on the saturday I had front brakes renewed
there is a lot of money involved, I've spent over £700 in two weekends, yet the level of service is very poor
its your money, your choice, should you be going elsewhere to see your £700 work hard for you - or do you want to duped in to spending an additional £122 on unnecessary spark plugs

I’ve done a major service and they forgot to change the cabine filter after that I had oil leak from oil filter housing and the last cherry on the cake was my brake fluid tested and resulted in high level of moisture. They didn’t even bother to check the fluid before leaving it as it was.
I went back and they tested , it failed again and after that they took the rubber cap from the caliper and they said because there are signs of brake fluid it means it’s been changed and they don’t know why the brake fluid is failing the test and I need to go and investigate somewhere else .
Unprofessional manager and really poor service.
Watch out for this scammers.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced - condescending, belittling and rude. I would give it no stars if I could. The man at the front desk made me repeat 4 times what it was that I came in for, even began to write down on a post it, almost like I was speaking another language! Then asked me to phone my parent so he could speak to them. I have never felt so belittled! He told me what was ordered was completely wrong and would not fit my car. Turns out the entire time this man was reading the wrong booking, calling my parent the wrong surname on the phone after I had told him a few times what their name was. Yet blamed me for his error! Despite my appointment being booked for 8:30am on the email, the man told me to come back at 10am as it would’ve been a tight squeeze for him. A total waste of my time. After I left my car there at 10am, I went back to collect it at 6pm. How long does it take to change 4 tyres? And above all else, the staff did not even have the decency to phone to update me on when I would be expecting my car back or on where they were at with it. I decided to go and wait at 6pm - their closing time - and upon collection my car was still being worked on. I was not even acknowledged by staff, no hello or how are you, they were having a chat of their own gone past closing time. I was so happy to get my keys and leave. Do not waste your money here, go somewhere else where you’ll be treated with a bit of respect and decency.

Booked last slot of the day Same day booking for 2 Rear Tyres and could see how busy they were when I got there but still somehow managed to get my Tyres done on time which I was pleased about. Both Tim and Vicky on Reception were polite and efficient Vicky even showed me the benefits of joing the Halford Rewards scheme and also applied the discount voucher there and then and gave me all the relevant information would happily go back there again great staff !

I arrived at the appointed time only to find that the tyres had not been delivered. A new appointment was given for the next day. The mechanic started 30 minutes after my appointment time and I waited a total of over 2 hours.

Ordering the 4 tyres, getting a date/time for fitting and receiving confirmation was straight forward and the price was competitive. On the day of fitting and after waiting 20 minutes after the appointed time I was told that there was an problem with the compressor used in the fitting process and agreed to return the next day at 12:00.
After arriving on time (12:00) my car was taken into the fitting bay at 13:15 and was available to drive away at 15:40. I was informed that the rescheduled fitting date was due to the compressor being serviced and no attempt had been made to clean the white fluid from newly fitted tyres. Sadly the poor customer service would make me look elsewhere when new tyres are being sought.
