Don't waste your time or money on these con artists. Took my car for an MOT and had it aborted in the first 5 minutes after claiming my car had a dangerous level of oil in it and that the head gasket was going (I've had the car 2 years and have never touched the oil or had any problems with this before or at previous MOTs) then claimed it would be several hundred pounds to get this fixed. Took it round the corner to AD's autos and they dropped the oil level and did the MOT and low and behold, my head gasket was completely fine and my car passed the MOT

Pointless Free Tyre Check
Went to my local National Tyres on Monday to have a free tyre check. Was advised that front offside trye had a bulge in it so would fail MOT - all other tyres fine with treads above minimum. Have been back this morning to have the tyre fitted. The person fitting the tyre told me that BOTH REAR TYRES would fail the MOT. He showed me the problems. The problem with the nearside rear tyre should definitely have been picked up during the initial tyre check on Monday.

Liars and Fraudsters - Avoid like the plague.
Took wife's immaculate car in for MOT, not a single sign of fault or issue, drove car there left keys, went to pick the car up to be told there'd been a problem and the car had just stopped (found car bonnet up on service ramp) and asked to arrange recovery as I was holding up their schedule.
Was left to recover own car with no ownership of fault what so ever.
Raised a complaint only to be fobbed off for six weeks; when Regional Manager David Brown finally made contact, lied about the work that took place. Halfords proceeded to try a complete cover up denying there is any CCTV (there is!) refuse to provide any evidence or explanation of the culpability or failing.
Basically... their position is we don't care, prove it! Absolutely disgusting on every level!

Amazing service as always
Amazing service as always! I visited the Basildon branch of National tyres and Autocare yesterday without an appointment. David was very accommodating even though they were busy. I had a slow puncture and was travelling to Norfolk to visit a family member in hospital. David said if I gave them 5 minutes he would look at it as he didn’t want me travelling that distance without checking the tyre. Within half an hour David/Jacob had checked and replaced the tyre as it was found to have a piece of metal in it. The tyre price was very reasonable too.
What great service. We have been using them for years and have never been disappointed with their service. Well done guys!

Honest, reliable and helpful
The manager at Basildon is a really lovely guy. This is my second year trying to sort out repairs to fix my MOT failure and he has gone above and beyond to help me out. Very honest, helpful and friendly. As a bonus, they have a family vibe there that's infectious.

Ordered 4 tyres and qualified for 15%discount.Ordered Sunday PM fitted Monday AM only downside was a £2-50 charge for an 11-30 am slot as this was considered peak time

Fantastic service, very helpful and Kelly is great.
I have used National Tyres for a while now and they have never let me down, always a great service.
This week I have been having problems with payment assist due to issues with my details online, I called National Tyres, Basildon for some help and spoke to Kelly, she really went out of her way to help me, she spent time with me on the phone going through everything, and she even took my number to call her regional manager and come back to me. Luckily I managed to resolve the issue with Payment Assist so I called Kelly back to let her know, and she was pleased, and confirmed by booking.
The service from Kelly doesn't happen everyday, quite often people don't take the time to really help someone, but she was amazing, and deserves recommendation for her service levels. Highly recommend National Tyres Basildon.

Team very helpful in making sure I had the best service and price for my order. Workman even fitted all four tyres outside. Timescale was lengthy but it was plan to see they were in-undated with a full time schedule and extra work.
