I always go to Mr Tyre. On this occasion I had ordered two new tyres on their website after an advisory on my MOT. They offered to check if they could be repaired rather than replaced and subsequently they only needed to replace one and replace the other, which was much cheaper

Great service

Professional service
Professional service, friendly staff. I had a cross threaded bolt on one of my wheels which they made me aware of as soon as they found it, they also went to fetch a re threading tool to fix the issue with out delay. Upon paying my bill they had not charged me for the little extra of which I am grateful for and would highly recommend this garage for anybody wanting some new tyres.

They doctored the tyre warning sensor
Having used Mr Tyre on many occasions in the past, this my first 1 star review.
So from my mot it was recommended that I change 1 tyre and keep an eye on the others, I had all four changed. When I drove away the sensor came on to say that a tyre was under inflated, my doesn’t tell me which one. Took the car back 3/4 times after the last the warning light stopped coming on. 2 months later I had a service done and the mechanic that did the service said that one of the tyres was under inflated but the sensor had been turned off. Mr Tyre told me that there is no sensor on my car even they dealt with the car many times. They denied any fault but they have doctored the sensor on my car so it doesn’t warn me anymore for a tyre under inflated. I have totally stopped trusting them and have put me and my car in danger.

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear you feel this way, particularly as you’ve been a long standing customer of ours.
To clarify, your 2020 Vauxhall Corsa uses an indirect tyre pressure monitoring system. This system does not have physical pressure sensors in the tyres or valves. Instead, it works via the ABS system by comparing wheel rotation speeds.
Because of this, it is not possible for us to “doctor,” disable, or interfere with the system during tyre fitting. The only procedure carried out after fitting tyres is a standard system reset once correct pressures are set.
As your tyres were fitted in November, the most likely explanation is that a tyre has since lost pressure gradually. With indirect systems, warnings are not always immediate, as they rely on detecting changes in rolling circumference rather than measuring pressure directly. This can mean a tyre is underinflated before the system triggers a warning.
We would never carry out any work that compromises safety, and we take that suggestion very seriously. However, in this case, what you’ve described is not something that can be caused by tyre fitting.
That said, we are more than happy to check the vehicle for you, confirm pressures, check for leaks/punctures and ensure the system is operating correctly for your peace of mind.

Just had two new tyres fitted with no problem at all. Staff very helpful and very professional. I was unsure which brand to go for so, based on the info I gave them, they recommended a mid range tyre. The place itself is clean and the waiting area very comfortable. Definitely recommended
